“Alex was great with Cookie today. She wasn’t intimidated by Cookie’s size and strength and got her to settle down quickly. As they made their way home from their 30-minute walk, Cookie walked quietly by Alex’s side. Our girl is one “tough Cookie,” but Alex’s skill with dogs is evident.”

About: My love for animals is genuine. They've been a part of my life since childhood. I often pet sit for my friends and family alike. While being cared for in my home, our four legged friends will enjoy playing fetch, hide and seek, tug of war, and of course getting cuddles too. I welcome elderly dogs as well. I have experience in administering medications, assisting elderly dogs with walking issues, hip issues, along with the blind, and the deaf dogs; they are all welcome and well taken care of here. I do allow most dogs on some furniture with a blanket provided by the owner. However, I do not allow them in beds. * I only accept dogs from one family at a time, and I only can accommodate 2 dogs at once. *. I have an open calendar most of the time. I do not work outside the home, and I have plenty of time for your pets. All our four legged friends get spoiled in the house of Morris. I have a fenced yard. I live near several parks, and there are many trails around my neighborhood with 2 dog parks in the area. *I will only take them to the dog park with the owners approval.*

About: Hi there! I’m really glad you’re here. I know how personal choosing a pet sitter is. Choosing someone to care for your animal isn’t about convenience- it’s about trust, and about finding someone who sees your pet the way you do: as family. That’s exactly how I care for every animal I meet. ⸻ I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals- big, small, healthy, fragile, goofy, complicated, misunderstood. They’ve been my greatest teachers. Professionally, I’ve spent over eight years in pet care, starting at PetSmart where I cared for everything from dogs and cats to reptiles, fish, and exotics. I’ve completed 500+ walks and sits on Rover/Wag with a perfect 5-star record- not because I’m perfect, but because I truly show up for each pet as an individual. I also worked with Freedom Service Dogs, supporting training and care for service animals in training- an experience that taught me so much about patience, communication, and trust. My background is a little unique: I earned my degree in Animal-Assisted Therapy from the University of Denver, and even worked as an Animal-Assisted Therapist alongside dogs, horses, guinea pigs, and rats. Animals have an emotional world, and I take that seriously. ⸻ In my personal life, I’ve always had a soft spot for the ones with special needs. I’m current a mom of three cats, including one with IBS/genetic abnormalities annd another with FIV. I also adopted a 17 year old hospice cat with cancer, who ended up living well past the 3 months he was given. I believe that love and dignity matter at every stage of life. I also help care for my landlord’s incredible farm family when they travel: 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse, 2 ponies, 4 donkeys, and a flock of chickens. Honestly, it’s my dream job! ⸻ My Promise to You and Your Pet I don’t rush visits. I don’t “just feed and leave.” I sit with them. I learn what makes them feel safe. I even talk to them- though no one has talked back…yet. Whether your pet is shy, anxious, elderly, energetic, or extra wiggly, I will meet them exactly where they are- with patience, respect, and genuine care. If you’re looking for someone who will love your pet in your absence, not replace you but reassure them until you return- I’d be honored to help. I own my own mental health-focused business and work remotely, which provides me incredible flexibility in that I can work when, where, and how I want. This allows me to fit in dog sitting/walking gigs as I see fit. Since pet care doesn’t feel like a job for me (more like a hobby that happens to bring an income), I love to be flexible to enable me to spend as much time with animals as I can. That is MY definition of paradise! When in my care, I’ll treat your pet like my own. The foundation of my relationship with any of my clients’ dogs is built on respect- respect for you as the parent, respect for me as the human in charge when the parent is away, and respect for the dog and their needs as an unique individual.
About: Hello! I love all animals, my partner and I have a 4 year old Alaskan malamute husky mix who gets along very well with other dogs! I work from home so I am available all day for boarding and am able to devote a lot of time to providing the best care for your pet. I have grown up around dogs for my whole life so I know what it takes to properly care for a pet. I currently work from home so I am available Monday-Friday and most weekends to take care of your pet, I will provide plenty of walks as I take my own dog out at least once every 2 hours. “Matthew was a complete sweetheart. He did great with Oliver and left very good detailed notes for me after each walk. My dog gets social anxiety around new people, especially when im out of town. So im glad he had a good time with Matthew.”

About: My family and I use to foster puppies all the time when I was little. We also always had our family husky lab dog. I now have my own Husky who will be carried for at home while I care for yours. have been in the dog sitting business for so long with just friends and neighbors. But I ended up getting this one gig where the lady herself boarded dogs and no joke she had at least 6 dogs one time when she asked me to stay overnight. All had different food and some medication. There were 2 chichas downstairs together. and the other 4 were left lose to sleep with me. I'm looking for jobs now, so I'm pretty open on schedule. So please feel free reach out with the time you want for your animals. I live in a house with 2 other dogs for my Husky to play with. Which I will leave my dog there when im out looking after others, as she has a loving little tribe at home with my roomates and her dog friends. I'm use to my husky needing run alot and having alot of energy so nothing is new for me in that department of dogs. If needed to live in with the dog, then I will fully move in for that time frame so the dog isn't lonely. I love play tug of war and ball with dogs and some cats even have played fetch for me. I love getting cuddles from little furry pets and giving them the love and attention they deserve.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
