About: I've had 2-3 dogs in my house all of my life. They are family, their comfort is my priority. I have enough room and time to make them comfortable. I am home just about everyday and have nothing but time to fuss over pets. My 2 dogs are older and quiet. I Love dogs. I have a lot of room for your pet to roam or hang out. Multiple dogs bed throughout the house and a decent sized fenced in back yard.
About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, and birds (macaws and smaller) for over 35 years now. I strive to give you peace of mind while you're away. I also specialize in raw feeding for your pets. I'm currently retired and can be flexible with times. Please feel free to reach out to me and I will let you know what I can do. We have a 4.5-foot tall fenced yard with lots of room to run and play and doggie doors for easy yard access. We have two small friendly dogs to help keep your pet"s" company.
About: Pet care experience is very important which I have more than 20+ years experience in which I've learned many techniques to gain your dogs trust quickly. I work remotely and my schedule is very flexible, usually I'm up before the sun. I have many years of experience caring for animals and will love the responsibility to care for your pet as if they were my own. I provide a clean, safe, and comfortable alternative than boarding your dog. When I watch dogs, they have constant supervision, freedom to roam without kennel/crate, and they get lots of love. You can expect your routines to be continued, your dog(s) can run freely in a fenced back yard (see photos on profile), and my dog (Soph) will be a perfect companion.... she loves to engage other pups that want to play and run.
“Jordan and Chris were amazing, highly recommend!! Our fur baby, Axel, can be very particular with his people, but he warmed up to Jordan straight away. They were willing to meet for an initial meet and greet, which really gave us a peace of mind. We received updates, along with pictures during his stay, needlessto say Axel was already snuggling with Jordan and invading her space like he does at home. Thank you so much for taking in Axel and treating him so well. We wished we lived closer!”

About: Hello! My name is Courtnee and I would love to be your new pet sitter! I love to take walks, play fetch, give belly rubs and snuggle with dogs and cats of any kind. I have had a dog since I was born and am just so happy being around their loving personalities. I truly believe a dog is just an extension of the family. I am a stay at home mom, so I am free every day! I have a very flexible schedule and am available most weekends. We have two vets in the family so I am knowledgeable about pet care. I am very patient and will take time to get to know you and your extended family member. I hope to see your pets soon!

“Ana is very sweet! She loves pets and my Gigi loves her too. She kept me posted throughout the entire day with plenty of texts and pictures. Will definitely reach out to her again in the future :)”

“I appreciated Erica’s willingness to book daycare last minute. She took great care of Rosie and provided a safe place for her to hang out with people. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Erica again. Thanks for taking care of Rosie.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life, starting as a devoted cat mom and later becoming a dog mom as well. Growing up in a military family, I was often trusted to care for the pets of other military families while they were away. That early responsibility taught me not only the basics of pet care, but also how important it is to provide comfort, consistency, and love when their owners can’t be there. As a pet parent myself, I’ve experienced both the deep joy and the heartbreak that comes with loving our fur babies. I’ve watched my own pets grow, thrive, and eventually say goodbye—experiences that have given me a deep understanding of the trust you place in someone when you leave your pet in their care. I’ve even supported one of my own through a battle with cancer, providing attentive, compassionate care every step of the way. I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive for most of the day. Your pets won’t be left alone for long stretches—they’ll have plenty of supervision, interaction, and comfort throughout their stay. I also have a welcoming home with a fully fenced yard and two young children (ages 4 and 16 months) who are gentle, loving, and already learning how to respectfully interact with animals. Together, we create a warm, family-oriented environment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Because of these experiences, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, routine care, or a little extra support, you can feel confident knowing they are in loving, capable hands while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and am able to be present throughout the day. I’m already used to a structured schedule that includes feeding, playtime, outdoor time in our fenced yard, and of course plenty of cuddles and attention. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to provide consistent supervision and companionship, making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and included in the daily rhythm of our home. I build my day around their needs—whether that’s regular potty breaks, exercise, play sessions, or simply relaxing close by. On a weekly basis, pet care is a normal and joyful part of our household. With two young children and our own pets, creating a loving, pet-friendly environment is already part of our lifestyle. Adding another pet into that routine feels seamless, and I make sure each one gets individualized attention, care, and comfort while they’re with us. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day. I stick closely to their normal routine for feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and secure. Pets have access to a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, along with plenty of indoor space for play, relaxation, and cuddles. I also make sure they receive lots of individual attention so they feel right at home. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress experience where your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and happy until you return.

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with them, I’ve always had my own, and honestly, I can’t imagine a house without one. I started helping out neighbors and family with their pets when I was 10, and I’ve been the "go-to" dog sitter for my friends ever since. I’ve handled just about every personality type there is. I treat every dog I watch like they’re part of my own family. I’m 62 years old and work from home so I’m available most days, so I’ll have plenty of time to hang out and play with your pups! Because of my flexible schedule your pet can always talk me into cuddling instead of working. Big bonus is I live in Meridian Ranch. We have a fenced yard and a doggie door to ensure your pet stays safe at all times. We also allow pets on our furniture as well as in the beds….just sayin…..we have two grandchildren who adore dogs and are excited about having them here when they visit. We have had some pets who have peed in the house despite being house broken. If needed we do put belly bands/&or diapers on your pet if they use our carpet/and or furniture instead of outside. We do host up to four pets at a time so there could be a chance that your pet would have a playmate during their stay.
“Kelsey took amazing care of Chloe. I am grateful for her flexibility and willingness to accommodate my work hours. Chloe didn’t want to come home! Thank you again!”

“I was a little nervous about leaving Ingrid since she’s so “needy” and has never been with anyone besides the groomer and that’s only for a couple of hours. But as soon as I met Leah I was instantly at ease. I could tell she loves the fur babies she takes care of. And as I suspected, she and her husband did a lot of holding Ingrid. I wasn’t concerned about Max - he loves everybody and gets along fine with other dogs. I was impressed with Leah’s documentation of the pees/poops/water breaks and food and taking pictures. That takes a lot of “watching”. We live in Texas and were in Castlerock for our son’s wedding. I’m sure we will be visiting again, and if we need a dog sitter, Leah will be the first one we call. Thank You so much Leah. 😊”

“Bruce had a fantastic day with their family! I know because Olivia was kind enough to send adorable pictures and videos. I am so glad I was able to find such a wonderful family that looked after him as if he were their own. I couldn’t have hoped for a better day for the little fella!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 876 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Elbert. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Elbert commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 876 sitters in Elbert, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
