“My dogs are my world and Sylvia makes me feel comfortable leaving them in the care of someone else. One of my dogs is dog reactive so her knowledge and handling experience was a huge peace of mind for an anxious dog mama. She’s super easy to get in contact with and has great flexibility with my odd hybrid office schedule. I defintely recommend booking :)”

“Michelle has been wonderful with Bud. She's handled his excitement at meeting a new person so well, and really matches his energy. She's so sweet with him. Bud loves their walks!!”

“Claire did a great job taking care of our dog. We had to leave town unexpectedly for a funeral. I was apprehensive to leave our house keys and dog in the care of someone I didn't know. All concern washed away after our meet and greet. Claire is a lovely person. She was very easy to correspond with and gave us plenty of updates while away.”

“Whitney was fantastic. We were traveling through the area and she was able to check in on our dog while we explored the city. She was easy to communicate with and gave us a full report after each walk.”

“Kaira has been walking my 2 dogs for 2 weeks now and she has been absolutely wonderful. She is very communicative and has patience to spare with my puppy who’ was a rescue and not easy! I also have a senior dog and she is very patient with her going up and down stairs as well as the slow walks. I cannot recommend Kaira enough!!”

“Connor has been so great with my dog. He was very thorough in asking questions in getting to know her and is really mindful about her particularities:) it’s really nice to know my pup is in caring hands. I would absolutely recommend him to others and their fur babies!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 20 years. I grew up with a loving, high-energy German Shepherd who taught me everything about presence, structure, and mutual trust. In adulthood, I’ve raised and cared for my Beagle, Howard, from puppyhood into his senior years—and I’ve learned how every stage of a dog’s life calls for a different kind of attentiveness. I’m especially experienced with: Senior dogs, who need calm routines and gentle, intuitive care Large breeds, having grown up with a Shepherd who needed strong, steady leadership Dogs with sensitive temperaments or anxiety, who benefit from a quiet, grounded approach Oral medications, leash behavior, feeding schedules, and subtle communication cues More than anything, I bring a deep respect for dogs as emotional beings. I approach each walk, visit, or overnight with real presence—because for me, pet care is never just transactional. It’s trust-based. I teach at Loyola University Chicago during the academic year, so summers are more flexible—making this the perfect time for me to offer steady, thoughtful pet care. I’m typically available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays during weekdays and weekends throughout the North Shore area. I build my days around presence and routine—whether I’m writing, walking, or spending time with animals. That means your dog or cat gets my full attention, not squeezed-in care. I also structure my schedule with enough spaciousness to adapt to each animal’s needs, whether that means a slow morning walk or an evening visit full of companionship. Safety, Trust & Environment I provide calm, structured, and intuitive care—always centered on your pet’s needs, energy, and daily rhythms. Whether I’m walking your dog or caring for your animal in your home, I approach each visit with focused presence and respect for the space they feel safest in. I follow your routines closely, honoring feeding times, walking styles, medication instructions, and the small details that help animals feel secure. I pay close attention to body language, environmental sensitivity, and pacing, especially for older pets or those with anxiety or trauma histories. I treat every home with the same care I give to your animal: with quiet respect, tidiness, and deep regard for the trust you’ve extended. I’m communicative, punctual, and responsive, and I always offer updates that help you feel grounded in how your pet is doing. Above all, I believe that safety and trust aren’t just about protocols—they’re about consistency, gentleness, and creating an environment where your animal feels understood.

“Alicia is great! My newly adopted pup immediately took to her and she always goes above and beyond for him. She sends tons of great pictures and leaves very detailed notes after every walk. I feel comfortable knowing he has someone kind and responsible for his mid day walk, playtime, and help settling in his crate while I’m away at the office.”

“Osiris is so wonderful! She has such good energy and my Stilly fell in love with her quickly! My dog is high energy and Osiris matched that and leaned into it with supplemental activities during the walk. Stilly was so happy when she got home from her time with Osiris and I was so happy that Osiris took such good care of my best gal. We will definitely be using Osiris again this week…she’s a gem!”

“I cannot say enough great thinks about Anthony. When my senior puppy couldn’t walk, he was extremely patient and kind towards him. He also showed genuine concern and checked in with me regularly. This is beyond what he was “hired” for and speaks more about the person that he is. I greatly trust him and appreciate him. Highly recommended!”

“Jasper was great! I had a very last minute booking and my dog was a little nervous but Jasper was very communicative and easy going which smoothed things over with no problems.”

“Kaitlan helped us in a pinch and was great with our senior dog. We met beforehand for a meet-and-greet so I could walk her through our dog's needs and quirks. She was patient with him and communicated well before, during, and after each walk. I trust Kaitlan and she will be the first person I reach out to if I need another dog walker in the future.”
