About: The Name is Yes-Purr. Shaken, Not Furred. Your pet isn’t just watched - they’re fully cared for like one of my own. With overnight stays and a flexible work-from-home schedule, I build their day around walks, play, meals, and consistent attention tailored to their personality and energy. From shy companions to social butterflies, I make sure they feel safe, settled, and genuinely at ease until you’re home again. I offer dependable, attentive pet care, which means your pet gets a calm, consistent presence throughout the day rather than rushed check-ins. My schedule allows me to integrate walks, feeding, playtime, and litter care into a steady daily rhythm, so your pet’s routine stays stable and stress-free. For dogs, I build in structured walks and breaks around my work blocks, ensuring they get regular exercise and attention between my writing and publishing tasks. For cats, I provide quiet, respectful care with regular check-ins, play, and feeding - always adjusted to their personality and comfort level. I’m flexible and responsive, while still keeping a reliable routine in place. I’m present, observant, and able to notice small changes in behavior or needs quickly. Your pet gets consistent care, your home stays respected, and you get peace of mind knowing someone responsible is there throughout the day - not just stopping by.

Bevin is great! This is the second time she has taken care of our dogs ( just one dog this time. She’s friendly and we appreciate that she stays in frequent communication. She asked us about a potentially odd behavior which we really appreciated. She took great care of the house and tidied up before she left. We are immensely comfortable with Bevin and hope to have her watch the dogs again soon. Thanks so much Bevin!!

Natasha was wonderful! We met her first and knew right away she would take care of our pup with great care. While we were away, Natasha sent us daily notes and pictures of how Whisky was doing. Playing with her dog, Jasper, was an added bonus for Whisky! We will definitely be having Natasha come stay with Whisky again! Thank you Natasha! Our trip was worry free 😊

I needed a dog sitter at the last minute due to a family emergency. I was thrilled that Shayla was available and willing to help us out. I was 800 miles from home, so she had to coordinate with my husband beforehand. Everything went well, and I will definitely reach out to her again for help.

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and it's something I genuinely love. As a young, active dog owner myself, I understand that every pup deserves patience, attention, and lots of fun! Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring, or curling up for belly rubs, I'll make sure they feel right at home. I treat every dog like they're part of my own family and always focus on creating a safe, happy, and stress free experience. Your best friend is in caring, experienced hands. I can't wait to meet your pup and become their new favorite sitter! 🐾❤️ I currently work 9 to 5 Tuesday through Friday in Port Townsend. I could do nighttime watching/sitting after my daytime job. I am free most weekends anytime and now available on Mondays anytime. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I know how important it is to trust someone in your home and with your furry family member, so I treat both with the same respect and care I would my own. I'll stick to your dog's routine, provide plenty of love, exercise, and attention, and make sure they feel safe and relaxed while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is happy, well cared for, and in trusted hands. My goal is for you to come home to a happy dog and a home that's been cared for just as you left it.

About: I have been taking care of dogs from a very young age, and I have been a professional sitter and boarder for a little over 3 years now. I recently moved to the area and am looking to rebuild my clientele. I am an animal advocate who has spent a lot of time volunteering with different agencies to help find forever homes for abandoned fur babies, and working for programs that went out and helped the homeless get the right care for their pets. I have experience with hyper pets, shy pets, large and small. I love them all the same. Let me spoil your babies while you’re away, and take comfort in knowing that they are safe and loved with me. I am currently an online student and doing a part time work from home job, so I will be home and available for them all day besides appointments or errands I have a large fenced yard that I make sure to walk the perimeter of to make sure there are no escape points. I also have a huge deck for them to lounge on and they have free roam of my home. I do have a toddler in the home, she is very shy with animals and has grown up learning the importance of being gentle and nonintrusive with them.

Liz was a great sitter for my girls. One of them had a last-minute medical issue and she handled it. She administered her medication's and took great care. Both dogs were happy and healthy when I got home. She also left the house in great shape. I would definitely ask Liz to stay with my girls again.

All you could ask for and more in a sitter he watched over our active 10&12yr border Collie mixes for 3days/2nights at our home. Communication was easy with quick response times, he communicated throughout with text and lovely dog tail pictures (my favorite view when walking them myself), other cute picks of the fur babies too. The dogs, especially Cameron; absolutely loved him and went bonkers when he came in the house Zoomies galore from a 12yr old 75lb dog for the win! He was respectful of the home and even took our trashcan back in without asking. We would definitely use his services again and recommend.

We have two needy pups who do not do well on their own for long periods of time. Jace came for the day while we were out and we came home to some happy pups. Jace was on time and very friendly. The pups took to him right away. He sent photos through out the day with updates which we really appreciated.

FAQs for House Sitting - East Quilcene

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 5,401 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across East Quilcene. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Quilcene walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Quilcene maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Quilcene choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Quilcene. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
