Wendy was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was very caring and understanding about our anxiety ridden dog. She was available on such short notice when our plans changed last minute for our upcoming vacation. Kaylee surprised all of us by warming up to Wendy almost immediately at the meet and greet we did and from what it sounds like, happy to see Wendy and her little pup Honeypie show up on the first day. She sent pictures throughout our trip and was great at sending us updates. We will definitely be booking with Wendy again on any future trips we take! Hopefully well in advance next time 😉

Natasha was wonderful! We met her first and knew right away she would take care of our pup with great care. While we were away, Natasha sent us daily notes and pictures of how Whisky was doing. Playing with her dog, Jasper, was an added bonus for Whisky! We will definitely be having Natasha come stay with Whisky again! Thank you Natasha! Our trip was worry free 😊

About: I’ve been taking care of neighborhood dogs and dogs that my parents friends have had since I was in elementary school, and I have an 11 year old miniature poodle mix that I trained myself but I’ve always loved dogs of all breeds. I have experience working with tiny and huge dogs, anxious dogs, reactive dogs, high energy dogs, special needs dogs, untrained dogs, heavy pullers, and puppies of various ages. I’m also quite strong and can handle big/rambunctious/reactive dogs with ease, so you wouldn’t have to worry about whether or not I can safely handle your dog. I’m currently back from college for the summer and don’t have a lot going on (aside from taking care of my own dog) so I’m home and available all day most days (aside from when I occasionally go stay with my long term girlfriend for a weekend or so). I decided to start working with Rover because I love animals and I’m happier when I have such a fun reason to get some exercise and leave my house :) I have a large grassy (and freshly fenced) in backyard to play in and make sure to routinely check the integrity of the fence and that there aren’t any potential hazards in my backyard. My dog is quite the lounge-around-inside-where-it’s-cool type, so if you would want your dog to have some off leash time in my backyard, even reactive and dog aggressive dogs wouldn’t have issues because they wouldn’t be anywhere near my dog. I also make sure to follow house rules and instructions to the letter (and am strictly no shoes in any house ever) and keep my clients updated on how things are going with photos, videos, as well as update messages. All potential clients are encouraged to meet up with me before entrusting their pets to me, and if you have any interest in your dog having some off leash time with me in my backyard I would be more than happy to give you a tour. Not only those things- but any other requests you may have that can help give you peace of mind when it comes to entrusting me with your fluffy loved ones are encouraged.

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and it's something I genuinely love. As a young, active dog owner myself, I understand that every pup deserves patience, attention, and lots of fun! Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring, or curling up for belly rubs, I'll make sure they feel right at home. I treat every dog like they're part of my own family and always focus on creating a safe, happy, and stress free experience. Your best friend is in caring, experienced hands. I can't wait to meet your pup and become their new favorite sitter! 🐾❤️ I currently work 9 to 5 Tuesday through Friday in Port Townsend. I could do nighttime watching/sitting after my daytime job. I am free most weekends anytime and now available on Mondays anytime. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I know how important it is to trust someone in your home and with your furry family member, so I treat both with the same respect and care I would my own. I'll stick to your dog's routine, provide plenty of love, exercise, and attention, and make sure they feel safe and relaxed while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is happy, well cared for, and in trusted hands. My goal is for you to come home to a happy dog and a home that's been cared for just as you left it.

Bonnie took excellent care of my cat Fish! It's clear she has lots of love and patience for cats. She was able to get Fish to warm up to her after a couples days and even got some snuggles towards the end of the sit, which says of a lot since Fish is pretty shy with new people. I came home to a very happy kitty and clean home. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out again the next time I need pet care.

About: I grew up in a large dog loving family. In adulthood, nothing has changed. Our family are all dog lovers. We will be available Monday to Friday and on the weekends as well to take care of your dog/dogs. We have a large house and a big yard that is fenced. Typically, your dog will go home tired from playing with the other dogs, walks around the neighborhood and playing catch in our large turfed backyard. Watching your dog for boarding or daycare is my full time job. Plus, my wife and three kids love dogs and help out as well. We have a large house and fenced yard. Plus, we don't leave dogs outside without our supervision. We also don't leave the dogs alone indoors for more than two hours at a time.

Dawn was an absolute superstar!! Our dog is wary of strangers in the house, but Dawn was patient with her, and the two of them became best friends in no time. Dawn sent us daily pictures and updates during our trip, and was very responsive when we had questions. She was communicative and so sweet with our pup. And to top it off, when our flight home was delayed into the early hours of the morning, Dawn stayed an additional night. Knowing that our puppy was in Dawn's capable hands made our whole trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Will absolutely be booking Dawn again!

About: My love for animals started when I was a little girl. Animals have always been my go to for happiness comfort and love. Meeting new animals always brings me joy. I understand the trust and responsibility that comes with taking care of someone's fur babies. I'm an open book I'm currently going to school online so I have a completely flexible schedule and can't wait for this new venture in my life I prefer not to care for animals in my own home. I have an older relative that's very particular about his house and doesn't allow pets

About: I’ve cared for animals for most of my life and genuinely love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, routines, and comfort needs. I have experience with dogs of many temperaments, including anxious, sensitive, high-energy, senior, and medically complex pets. I’m calm, observant, and very attentive to behavioral changes, body language, and routines. I know how important consistency and emotional safety are for animals, especially when their owners are away. I’m also experienced with administering medications, reinforcing routines, long walks, enrichment/play, and providing patient companionship for pets who need a slower or more thoughtful approach. Cleanliness, communication, and reliability are very important to me, and I’ll treat your pets and home with care and respect. I work part-time remotely as a psychologist, which gives me flexibility and allows me to provide attentive care and companionship throughout the week. Fridays through Mondays are generally my most open days for walks, drop-ins, and daytime care. Tuesdays through Thursdays tend to be my busier workdays, so during those days I’m best suited for overnight care, house sitting where I can work remotely from your home, or boarding/day care in my home for pets who are comfortable relaxing while I work nearby. I still prioritize regular walks, enrichment, affection, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine throughout the day. I’m thoughtful about only taking bookings I can genuinely show up well for, and I value consistency, communication, and helping pets feel safe, calm, and cared for while their owners are away. Safety, trust, and attentiveness are extremely important to me when caring for animals. I take time to learn each pet’s routines, temperament, triggers, exercise needs, and comfort level so I can provide care that feels consistent and supportive for them. In my home, pets are always supervised carefully and kept on leash outside. I prioritize safe walks, enrichment, play, companionship, and calm structure rather than simply letting dogs loose in a yard. I’m attentive to body language, behavioral changes, and environmental safety, especially for anxious, senior, or sensitive pets. In clients’ homes, I’m respectful, clean, communicative, and mindful of maintaining the routines and environment pets are already comfortable with.

About: Growing up surrounded by animals such as dogs, cats, goats, and chickens, I developed a strong sense of responsibility towards them. Despite not being able to own a pet until recently due to space constraints, I've spent the last 12 years looking after my family's dogs and cats. My experience includes providing insulin to a diabetic dog and meeting special dietary needs through food preparation. Dogs hold a significant place in my life, and I'm committed to treating every dog with the care I would give a cherished family member. I'm available for at-home care, boarding, and regular walks. I currently work full time Sunday -Wednesday however I am available through out the day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. My days off consist of walking my dog and setting up play dates for him. I live in an apartment with my golden retriever. I walk him around the complex and neighborhood for his daily exercise. On the weekends I have more time and I’ll take him to the dog park or on a hike. I will adapt my route and schedule to what best suits your pup. If you prefer I watch him in your home I am happy to provide this service.

FAQs for House Sitting - Bees Mill

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 5,796 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bees Mill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bees Mill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bees Mill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bees Mill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bees Mill. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
