About: I’ve been taking care of neighborhood dogs and dogs that my parents friends have had since I was in elementary school, and I have an 11 year old miniature poodle mix that I trained myself but I’ve always loved dogs of all breeds. I have experience working with tiny and huge dogs, anxious dogs, reactive dogs, high energy dogs, special needs dogs, untrained dogs, heavy pullers, and puppies of various ages. I’m also quite strong and can handle big/rambunctious/reactive dogs with ease, so you wouldn’t have to worry about whether or not I can safely handle your dog. I’m currently back from college for the summer and don’t have a lot going on (aside from taking care of my own dog) so I’m home and available all day most days (aside from when I occasionally go stay with my long term girlfriend for a weekend or so). I decided to start working with Rover because I love animals and I’m happier when I have such a fun reason to get some exercise and leave my house :) I have a large grassy (and freshly fenced) in backyard to play in and make sure to routinely check the integrity of the fence and that there aren’t any potential hazards in my backyard. My dog is quite the lounge-around-inside-where-it’s-cool type, so if you would want your dog to have some off leash time in my backyard, even reactive and dog aggressive dogs wouldn’t have issues because they wouldn’t be anywhere near my dog. I also make sure to follow house rules and instructions to the letter (and am strictly no shoes in any house ever) and keep my clients updated on how things are going with photos, videos, as well as update messages. All potential clients are encouraged to meet up with me before entrusting their pets to me, and if you have any interest in your dog having some off leash time with me in my backyard I would be more than happy to give you a tour. Not only those things- but any other requests you may have that can help give you peace of mind when it comes to entrusting me with your fluffy loved ones are encouraged.

About: I grew up in a large dog loving family. In adulthood, nothing has changed. Our family are all dog lovers. We will be available Monday to Friday and on the weekends as well to take care of your dog/dogs. We have a large house and a big yard that is fenced. Typically, your dog will go home tired from playing with the other dogs, walks around the neighborhood and playing catch in our large turfed backyard. Watching your dog for boarding or daycare is my full time job. Plus, my wife and three kids love dogs and help out as well. We have a large house and fenced yard. Plus, we don't leave dogs outside without our supervision. We also don't leave the dogs alone indoors for more than two hours at a time.

I’ve cared for dogs for over 12 years, including Italian Greyhounds, Dachshunds, Whippets, Chihuahuas, Poodles, Border Collies, and Terriers. My lifestyle is quiet and calm, which makes me especially attuned to sensitive, low-energy, and senior dogs who need a little extra understanding. My own dog, Clark, a whimsical and willful 12-year-old Poodle, recently passed from mitral valve disease which progressed to congestive heart failure. While this is sadly common in Poodles and other small breeds, it’s never enough time to say goodbye. Dogs will always be a part of my life, and I’d be honored to welcome yours into a calm and nurturing home. Through supporting Clark, I became deeply experienced in senior care- administering oral medications, monitoring for signs of distress, and creating a peaceful environment where he could feel safe and loved. I’m comfortable with medication management, light grooming (teeth brushing if tolerated, baths, and nail trims), and I keep essentials like pee pads, a litter box, and a playpen for dogs who are dual-trained or prefer enclosed rest. I also have a backpack carrier for pups under 15 lbs who like to come along on errands. I live near downtown Seattle, so I’m very vigilant during walks. I keep dogs on a close leash when needed, and for small dogs I’ll scoop them up if a large dog, bike, or scooter is approaching or when crossing busy streets. Safety is always my top priority. I’m typically home all day, and if I do step out, it’s never for more than 3–4 hours. I know the local emergency vets in Seattle and can quickly recognize signs of illness or stress. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care that feels like an extension of your own love for your dog. Since I’m currently in school remotely, I’m home all day to provide attention and care. I may run errands but takes no more than 3-4 hours. If your pet is under 15lbs, I can Carry them in my backpack pet carrier and they can come with me. My apartment building is very secure. A fob is required on entry. The building is quiet and I like to keep a short leash upon entering and leaving.

She was available on such short notice when our plans changed last minute for our upcoming vacation. Kaylee surprised all of us by warming up to Wendy almost immediately at the meet and greet we did and from what it sounds like, happy to see Wendy and her little pup Honeypie show up on the first day. About: I saved my Chihuahua, Thistle, from a kill shelter when he was 18 months old. I nursed him through being hit by a car, helped him gain weight from being underfed, and encouraged him to be a confident dog (he was extremely anxious) through training and gentle love and care. From this, I learned how to administer medications to animals, so I can provide this kind of care to your fur babies also. My Chihuahua is now a senior dog, but you wouldn’t be able to tell with how active he is! He gets lots of walks and play time, and he loves it best when I get on the floor with him. I am comfortable getting to know your pet and giving them the level and type of attention that they need! I looked into breed specific care, and Chihuahuas have weaker joints, so I put him on a joint supplement right when I got him, and it has really made a difference in his mobility and quality of life. It’s important to administer care to animals in the specific way that is best for them! I would show the same consideration to your pet. That includes factoring in their temperament. As my dog has gotten older, his needs around personal boundaries have increased, so I make sure to check in with him before petting him, picking him up, or otherwise touching him, and I do not touch him if he gives me a no, except in an actual emergency (i.e. the animal could be hurt or hurt someone else if I do not touch them). Instead, I do something else and check in again later. This allows me to establish a real felt sense of safety and trust with your pet. I also had cats all growing up, and have a real affection for them, as well as a clear understanding of their boundaries. I would be honored to care for your pet family just as I care for mine! I currently freelance, which means I have the freedom to take care of your pets whenever you need me to. I can be flexible to your needs. As my dog is a people’s dog and not a dog’s dog, I offer my services in your home. I can walk your pet, do a drop-in visit, or housesit!
