I have done multiple overnight stays for family friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. I also am a regular with drop by visits and even taking dogs out for a walk while their owners are at work. I love to take dogs for long walks or even on runs if they have the energy! If some dogs need longer walks (1+ hours), I will be happy to take them longer. Pet care fits into my routine as an important part of my daily life. I work from home and am committed to providing the best possible care for the pets I take care of. About: What is a home without a dog? I have always had a dog- or a few dogs. They make life good. I live with my husband and our two teenage daughters. We are a fun loving family of four, living on a small (wanna be) farm with our dog Larry and a flock of hens. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. The house yard is dog friendly- very large and fully fenced. My home is equally dog friendly- relaxed with plenty of room to get comfortable. I have a work from home situation, so your furry friend/family member will get plenty of love and good attention. I (and my family) are very animal - and people- focused. While I will be the primary contact and person in charge of your dog, know that my family will also be available and more than willing to help- we love dogs! Happy to have yours with us :). I drive a new pick-up truck so your dog will ride in comfort. I have both Venmo and PayPal, to make payments electronic and easy for everyone. I also have a fully fenced yard, if you and your dog are searching for warm, comfortable overnight accommodations. Please reply and we’ll discuss arrangements, rates, and build a system of comfort and exercise for your dog. I am trying to retire, which for me, involves lots of time with dogs. So I am readily available to care for your pets in a daily, weekly, or whatever basis works with your schedule. My dog, and so yours as well, will be well attended to. I don’t allow dogs on the furniture, and I prefer to not use cages, but am happy to if your dog is used to or prefers that type of structure to be comfy. I have plenty of dog beds for comfort, I use all naturally made and healthy dog treats. I have a fully fenced yard which is occasionally visited by brave squirrels, so activity and amusement is plentiful. There are a number of toys, ropes, balls, bones and other chew toys for those dogs who simply need some time to chew and think about life in general. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. Currently, I am a proud mom of the protective teddy bear (Lola), burst of energy and enthusiastic Rat Terrier mix (Bettie), queen of mean looks yet total cheese-ball cat (Nirvana), and my loving baby boy cat (Hawkeye) who is watching me intently as I write this. About: I have grown up with animals my entire life, and I have endless love for them. I enjoy taking them for walks, playing with them, or snuggling on the couch. I can be strict and set rules, while still forming a bond of trust. My schedule is flexible allowing me to easily take care of animals since I am at home the majority of the time. I am active so walking and playing with the animals is not a problem at all. I have a large yard for them to play in, and my home is clean with lots of comfortable places for the dogs or cats.
