We are a fun loving family of four, living on a small (wanna be) farm with our dog Larry and a flock of hens. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. The house yard is dog friendly- very large and fully fenced. My home is equally dog friendly- relaxed with plenty of room to get comfortable. “Margaret is extremely conscientious and dedicated. She did say thorough call to understand my dog's behaviors and needs. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. I pet sit most frequently in Port Townsend, Discovery Bay, Sequim, Blyn, Port Ludlow, Brinnon, Port Gamble, Quilcene, Chimacum, Port Hadlock, Irondale, and Marrowstone Island. Occasionally I will work in Port Angeles, Joyce, Forks, Queets, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bremerton, Bainbridge and Silverdale. I prefer extended house sits and like to build solid bonds with animals.
