While staying in Port Ludlow, we left our pup Lucy with Lauren for an afternoon while we played golf nearby. Her communication in making arrangements was great, and Lucy had a great stay. Thanks!

Zara had a wonderful first time visit with Stacey and River & Birdie. Stacey made her feel comfortable around the bigger dogs and she loved the one-on-one attention from Stacey. My pup was happy and tired when I picked her up. I will definitely book with her again.

Thanks to Cara we had a wonderful first-time experience on Rover. Yoshi did his first Rover doggy day care and he had a blast. Cara took great care of him and her little girls took to Yoshi. He came home and promptly passed out. Expecting a lot more play dates in the near future. It's awesome to find another Corgi Mom. Thank you, Cara, for welcoming Yoshi into your home. We loved the photos you sent to us throughout the day and hope to add more memories.

Storm loves coming here when we're in town and I'm pretty sure zi and her pup feel the same way about storm. Always huge smiles and quick tail wags when they see each other. Always contact her first when in the area, highly recommend.

Thank you so much Casie for taking such good care of Batman! Outside play time is SO much better than a kennel for the day.

Barbara H. has a great fenced yard with lots of smells for my dog. She went above and beyond with a walk and tender loving care. I could feel it when I picked Zayda up. My dog was calm and content. Thank you!

Brooke was great! While our dog only stayed with her for a couple hours, I received pictures of our pup and her son playing together. She was kind, attentive, and flexible! If we're back in the area and need someone to watch our pup, we will absolutely reach out to Brooke again. She also had a great place with a fenced in deck!

I cannot recommend Tyler and Emily enough for dog care. My dogs immediately felt comfortable in their house, which for one of my dogs can be challenging, as she is quite nervous in new situations. I got tons of communication and photos throughout their stay, and both dogs were snuggling and playing as if they’d known them for a while. I will definitely be back and if anyone is needing incredible dog care, look no further.

About: What is a home without a dog? I have always had a dog- or a few dogs. They make life good. I live with my husband and our two teenage daughters. We are a fun loving family of four, living on a small (wanna be) farm with our dog Larry and a flock of hens. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. The house yard is dog friendly- very large and fully fenced. My home is equally dog friendly- relaxed with plenty of room to get comfortable. I have a work from home situation, so your furry friend/family member will get plenty of love and good attention. I (and my family) are very animal - and people- focused. While I will be the primary contact and person in charge of your dog, know that my family will also be available and more than willing to help- we love dogs! Happy to have yours with us :). Your dog(s) will be warmly welcomed into our home- made to feel comfortable and kept safe. Our dog Larry is a part of our family. I similarly care for dogs that I host, as if they were a part of our family, and in a way that you would want - love and attention, exercise and play. All the loves.

Cathleen was so friendly and helpful- taking care of our pups with just a few day's notice when we wanted to visit the island. She made Vivi and Bijou feel comfortable and at home- as evidenced by the photos of them relaxing and snoozing without a care. We were so glad to find her and wouldn't hesitate to have our pups stay with her again.

My dog developed separation anxiety after our recent move, and he’s not always comfortable being watched by people, but he is so comfortable with Jill and Jacob! He is well cared for and gets really excited to see them when I drop him off now.

About: I consider myself to be a loving and caring person, saving the most room in my heart for dogs and other furry friends. Dogs have always been part of the family - from my grandparents’ tradition of always having a little white dog to caring for large rescue dogs with difficult pasts. I’m always sensitive to a dog’s feelings, trying to anticipate their needs and making sure they always feel safe and comfortable. This was most apparent in my relationship with my own dog, Fille, who passed in June 2025. She was a scared and traumatized rescue that was found lost wandering the desert in Arizona, but after adopting her in 2018 and spending 7 wonderful years together, she blossomed into a confident (albeit stubborn) pup who received lots of love and support so she could explore the world with me. During our last year together, I got first-hand experience with not only senior care but disabled dog care; Fille was living with partial paralysis in her hind legs, and so I learned how to best support her mobility on walks and take care of pain management, physical therapy, and other special needs as they arose. I would love to treat your dog with the same compassion and love and look forward to many future walks and visits! I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can care for pets on any schedule. I do sometimes travel for work, but my availability will surely be updated with plenty of advance notice to accommodate any pet parent’s needs! Pets would be allowed full range of my home, and I ensure that any potential hazards (cords, garbage, etc.) are properly stowed away and cannot be accessed by any four-legged friends. If desired, I have space to accommodate a kennel. Living very close to a big park, I’m an avid explorer of the grounds and loved to take breaks out there with my furry friend, Fille. My apartment building has a shared entrance, but I have a good rapport with my neighbors and can take any precautions if requested. There are stairs and a functioning elevator for any dogs with mobility issues.

This was our first time using Rover, we were unsure how it worked and hence we actually banged on doors in her condo building to make the pick up. She was very understanding and patient with us. Reggie was with her for a little over 2 1/2 hours, she sent us pictures and was delightful. We will definitely use her again and leave him for a longer period of time.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 2,425 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across East Quilcene. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your East Quilcene commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,425 sitters in East Quilcene, 90% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
