“Zi did a great job watching Yuki, even though he had an accident at her apartment and hyperactive with her dog. She sent plenty of photos, videos and updates, and was honest with how my pup did at the end. I'd recommend her with anyone who has a small/medium sized dog.”

I have a very flexible schedule and I can shape my schedule around the needs of you and your dog and give them the time and attention they need. I have a fenced in yard where they will be free to roam, along with abundant room inside where they will receive lots of care and attention. Will support crate or free sleepers depending on your preference and the dogs needs.
“Brooke was great! While our dog only stayed with her for a couple hours, I received pictures of our pup and her son playing together. She was kind, attentive, and flexible! If we're back in the area and need someone to watch our pup, we will absolutely reach out to Brooke again. She also had a great place with a fenced in deck!”

About My Home: Your pup will feel safe, loved, and comfortable here! I have a fully fenced yard perfect for playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of sniffing. I also have two friendly dogs who enjoy company, though all interactions are based on your dog’s comfort level. Inside, I’ve created multiple gated areas so every dog has their own calm, secure space. Crates are available if your dog prefers them or if you request it. I use a Furbo camera and happily will send photo and video updates so you never have to wonder how your pup is doing. When the weather cooperates, I love taking dogs on peaceful neighborhood walks, and I can provide baths if needed as well. *Important: I do have a 1 year old at home, so I’m only able to host dogs who are gentle and comfortable with young children. Safety and a calm environment are top priorities in our home. Safety: Your dog’s comfort and safety , and my family’s, are my top priorities. “Why is there only 5 stars option, she did absolutely amazing and has helped us take care of our baby pandora. She has an amazing heart and love for all the puppies. If I could give more stars for how amazing she is I would”

“Somya and josh are great with my dog. We just moved here and Smokey was a little frightened because he was used to being home only with me for last 11 months but they made him feel right at home with them. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Kyah was great. She was willing to learn about all our dogs particular needs. She took him for a walk and gave us plenty of updates. Kyahs dog is calm and well mannered, the perfect companion pup. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Tanya is the best! She is so good with my beagle and always lets me know how the day was! I recommend her highly to any dog mom or dad who wants their pup to be well loved during the day!”

About: I have had dogs (usually multiple at a time) for the past 17 years. I have trained 4 dogs from a puppy and very much understand and know the puppy world and the time and patience it takes. I have also cared for a friends elderly dog with special needs. I’ve pretty much seen it all and welcome your dog and all their quirks. I currently work from home 4 days during the week so I have lots of availability for potty breaks and play time. My husband and I spend a lot of time at home and usually only have to leave for a couple hours at a time if at all. If we have a day blocked off it means we will be gone more than a couple hours that day. Feel free to ask about days that are blocked to see if our schedules match up. While we don’t have a yard, we do have a park next door with walking trails and a field across the street for potty breaks. Our dog is crate trained at night and for when we are away from the house. Your dog does not have to be crate trained at night but we do request to not have them sleep on the bed. We do request your dog to be ok in a crate when we are out of the house though. Which if we accept your stay we will never be gone more than 2 hours at a time if at all during their stay :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 5 years, to include handicapped, young, and senior dogs. I also have 3 years of experience with caring for cats. I will be able to care for your pet the entire day and can take them out as needed. I live in a safe and quiet neighborhood that is very walkable. I am a 2 minute walk from a dog park which I can take your pet to daily.
“I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say! I was so stressed trying to find a last minute situation for my dogs and Christina was amazing! She sent me many different pictures and updated me throughout the entire day, letting me know how Bear and Sitka were doing! I knew they were in great hands and I am very very happy and pleased with the service she provided! Thank you so much!”

“Wow! Cathleen is SO good! Mooch had a very successful first doggie day care and we will have him back. Cathleen is calm, loving and responsible. She is also very in tune with Mooch and his surroundings which contributed to his successful time away. Mooch is a Covid puppy with separation anxiety but you couldn’t tell with his time at Cathleen’s. She is a pro and a great choice ❤️”

“I love that Rhonda and her family created a secure and fun back yard for the dogs to play. I also love that the whole family helps with the dogs and that there is usually someone home. It gives me great peace of mind to know that my dog has humans around most of the time. Rhonda's dogs are playful and my dog seemed to be at ease even though she is often fearful of new dogs and new situations.”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my whole life and have also worked in a kennel, and done pet sitting many times, I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds, and will make sure your pets get the best care possible! I am currently a stay at home mom, but I will hopefully have time to visit your pets during the day, or take them on walks. I have provided drop-in visits and dog walking before, and always try to give your pet the best care possible, and try to follow your instructions carefully.
“Danielle was absolutely wonderful with Bento for his first time at her in-home doggie daycare! We were so appreciative of her patience in introducing him to her cat – a brand new experience for our little guy, and we were thrilled to hear he eventually accepted his new feline friend. Her large, fenced backyard was perfect for him to get some great playtime. We felt completely at ease leaving Bento in her care and will definitely be using her services again. Highly recommend!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 3,209 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Bangor Trident Base. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bangor Trident Base commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,209 sitters in Bangor Trident Base, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
