“Briony was amazing with Cooper and he really enjoyed his time with her! It was my first time leaving him with a new person. She was very patient, communicative, supportive while I was away. She really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable with the care she provided. Cooper had several hot spots that were in different phases of healing. She was very attentive to his care and made sure he got what he needed during every visit. Furthermore, after a power outage, my fridge had a leak. She communicated that to me asap and did what she could to ensure there was no additional damage. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!!”

“Audrey was great, looked after our babies wonderfully, kept us updated every visit with notes and photos, even cleaned up a dead present brought in by one of our babies”

“Kristen was fantastic with our two indoor cats and was incredibly supportive of some separation needs we had with the two during this week. Meds, play, and even a few photos of our outdoor cat kept us informed and grateful. Thank you, Kristen!”

“My cats absolutely adored Maximilian! I really appreciated all of the photos and the very detailed care report. I looked forward to reading them after every visit. My cats were given top notch care and concern. Max is a pro - my cats can sometimes take a second to want to play with someone new but they warmed up immediately.”

“Saniya was great! She was able to wrangle our three cats for meal times and made sure they all ate in their separate spaces. It put our minds at ease knowing they were being well taken care of!”

“Julia was great and took care of our babies for two weeks! She sent new pictures everyday which was comforting to see while we where international. Thank you!!!”

“Daniel was great! He was very accommodating to my pups needs and went the extra mile for her and I. When my dog refused to go out in wet grass, he made a third trip back to ensure she was comfortable and accident-free overnight. I really appreciated his extra care and highly recommend him!!”

“Audrianna did an excellent job communicating and was quick to respond, even with me booking on short notice. It's very evident she loves what she does! Thank you thank you thank you!”

“Shannon was great. She came right on time and followed all our instructions plus went above and beyond and filled the water bowls for our cats. She sent us several photos and let us relax being assured our kitties were being taken care of. Thanks Shannon!”
“Sean was our first experience hiring someone to look after our girls. He was extremely responsive, kept us updated, and spent time with our babies. One of them consistently had accidents while we were gone but Sean took care of it every single day no problem. He made sure to spend some time with them in the yard and gave them some brushing due to it being shedding season! Since he lives close to us, he would pop by in to check on them in the afternoon. One of our babies started showing some scary symptoms our last night of vacation and Sean cared as if it was one of his own babies. Sean was fantastic and we highly recommend hiring him!”

“We love Christian! He’s reliable, great communication, fast response time and super nice. My boys also loved him and can’t wait to have him back. We will be using him again”

About: I’ve got a 4 year old Rottie and an 11 year old Pit Bull, so I’m great on both ends of the spectrum. Whether they just need belly rubs or a tag team partner, I got you! I have a pretty flexible schedule so I’m available most days and times of the week. Not so much on the weekends. (Gotta spend time with my little ones too) I can easily crate your little one, go on an extended walk, or just make sure they aren’t alone all day. I’ve got a 60lb & a 110lb baby that have lived together for the last 4 years, one with pretty severe allergies so I’m well versed in making pups feel comfortable.
About: I have 2 dogs back home so I love to babysit, walk dogs. Dogs tend to love me:)! I have babysat and walked friends pets! I am in college, but I was thinking in between classes I could walk dogs and babysit some days! Tuesday and Thursdays are easiest days! I will play with them, let them out, walk them, and watch them 24/7. And just spend as much time with them, and feed them!
About: What sets me apart is the love, patience, and attention I give every animal. I believe pets are family, and I care for them as if they were my own. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I’m comfortable keeping them on their regular routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, and administering basic care. As an ESA owner myself, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I also enjoy helping puppies burn off energy through play and can provide extra patience and gentle care for senior dogs who may need a slower pace and more attention. My goal is to make every pet feel happy, secure, and cared for until their family returns. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work three days a week—Sunday through Tuesday—so I’m very flexible during my four days off. On those days, I have plenty of time to provide walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, and personalized attention. I make it a priority to follow each pet’s routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their family is away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while keeping their environment clean and secure. I also provide updates and photos so pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is to treat every pet with the same love and care I give my own ESA, Millie.

Max has been extremely reliable for years now for Mela and I. Simply couldn’t ask for a better sitter to check in with her while I’m out, and she loves the rubs and play given. One of my favorite things about the experience has been the photos with updates I get, especially the Polaroids left as a surprise. Keep him in mind when booking, just leave time for us!

Emilia was excellent while taking care of our cats during drop in visits. She was attentive and truly took time to make sure our cats didn’t feel alone while we were away. She provided many photos and videos. She treats animals with kindness and such care. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
