I have a day job from 9-5 on Mondays through Fridays, but I do work a hybrid schedule. Most weeks, I am able to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. On days I do need to go into the office, I can always swing by during my lunch hour if necessary and if you don't live too far away from my office in Reynoldstown/Cabbagetown. Please allow enough time before a first time booking request so we can schedule a meet & greet where we can make sure I'm the right fit for you, and I can get to know you, your pet(s), and their routine before the booking starts.

While in your home, I always check for any accidents or messes to clean up, and scoop litter boxes/pick up any poop in the yard. I am always careful not to let anyone escape (having had a few escape artists of my own). I make sure all the food and water is distributed as laid out in your instructions, take dogs on walks if that's what you request, and give them as many snuggles and kisses as I can fit into the visit! When I'm housesitting and working from the house, I also try to wear them out by playing with their toys throughout the day, and cuddle with them on the couch while we watch movies. I mostly try to keep their routine as similar to normal as possible to keep them at ease.

Information that is important to know about your pet ahead of time: any allergies, triggers for aggressive or fear-based behavior, known commands, medications, favorite activities/toys/walking routes, how they react to storms/fireworks, how you prefer to discipline/train, emergency contact info, regular and emergency vet information, and how they deal with other dogs/people/children they may come across on their walks.

I've been taking care of animals my entire life, and understand that your pet is an important member of your family. The first three family dogs I had, we trained from puppy-dom onward. Because I had the most flexible schedule I was in charge of walking, feeding, and grooming them. The last two dogs I cared for before getting my own (my family dog and my roommate's) were rescue pit mixes, and I used various training methods to help them adjust as quickly and comfortably as possible into their new lifestyles. The most recent training issues I was working on with them were socializing with other dogs, and not getting over-excited when meeting new people. I'm comfortable taking strong dogs on walks because of them, and know what hazards and signs of stress to watch out for to ensure that your dog has the best experience possible while you're away. The last five dogs in my life (family and my boyfriend's dogs) also had food allergies and needed special care (medications, chemo, insulin, daily scent gland extractions, beef allergies, etc.), so I understand the responsibilities associated with a dog who needs a little extra care. I also ended up raising 4 hedgehogs after a young hedgehog I adopted had a surprise litter. In addition to dogs and hedgehogs, I've taken care of many rats, lizards, bunnies, and cats over extended periods of time. I currently have 3 sweet cats (one adopted from AHS, one who we found in a ditch, and one who was a stray that just moved in one day haha), as well as a dog we adopted from the shelter. One of the cats is on multiple medications for skin allergy issues and has special dietary needs, another cat has asthma, and the third cat is just a very particular, spicy little guy. The dog has some reactivity that we're working on, and is on multiple medications for anxiety and spay incontinence. All this to say I'm more than comfortable administering all kinds of medications, managing specific food schedules, and handling the quirks that come with each little fur baby! I love having animals in my life and would be more than happy to help you make sure they're well cared for while you're away.

Stefanie was absolutely wonderful! She stayed at our home over the Christmas holiday to care for our dog and cat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. She sent frequent updates with cute photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our house was left spotless, and she even went above and beyond by coming back to feed the animals dinner when our flight was delayed. We would absolutely book Stefanie again, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.
Stefanie was amazing! She was so affectionate and loving to our big group of pups. They loved her so much. She sent amazing pics and updates throughout the days. She really gave us a peace of mind while being away from our babies. So glad we found her!!
