“Latasha was wonderful! She took excellent care of my baby and really went above and beyond. She was so great with my girl and it was so reassuring to leave my dog in her care. Book her now, you won't regret it.”

About: Hi! I’m Erin, and I’m currently accepting new pet sitting clients in the St. Louis area. I work at Saint Louis University and also work part-time as a caregiver, so being dependable, responsible, and communicative is a huge part of my everyday life. I’m a lifelong dog owner and currently have a Lab mix of my own, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, feeding, potty breaks, medication administration (oral medications), playtime, and overnight pet sitting. I provide regular photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to cats, so I’m only accepting dog and other non-cat household pet clients at this time. If you’re looking for someone reliable who will care for your dog like family, I’d love to connect. Feel free to message me with your location, dates, and what services you’re looking for. I currently have a full time role at SLU that offers remote days and flexible hours. I am able to adjust my schedule to manage both. I am very comfortable working with larger energetic dogs and those who may be a bit more timid. My family dog is a bull mastiff boxer mix who can run around for hours on end and my dog is an anxious couch potato through and through.
“Julia was amazing! Her updates were perfectly timed and she genuinely gave my dog lots of attention and loving! I would definitely recommend her and plan to use her for any future house sitting needs.”

“Mason was wonderful! He came over for a pre-meet and was very polite and was happy to do what we asked. BUT he went above and beyond walking the dogs, playing bubbles. Great communicator. Sent pics and videos. Had a small emergency and he handled it beautifully! So happy we found him!!!!”

“Evelyn was very communicative and took very good care of our girl. Our senior dog has some quirks and special requests, and Evelyn had no issues, making our time away stress free.”

“Chloe took wonderful care of my Frenchie and cat! Her communication was great, she left my house in impeccable shape and my babies were happy and healthy when I got home. Would definitely book her again!”

“Gabrielle was just the right amount of communicative! She took great care of our dog while we were away and the house looked great. Would definitely book again.”

“This was my first time using Rover, and Paige took care of my pup exactly the way you would want someone to. She’s sincere and genuine. Couldn’t recommend her more. Thanks for being awesome, Paige!”

“Bri was so easy to work with! She was communicative, reliable, and our pets absolutely adored her. We were able to enjoy our vacation because we felt so comfortable with her taking care of things for us. Our pets have never been less stressed out while we were away; they were immediately comfortable with her which says a lot (small neurotic dog and finicky cat). We're so thrilled to have found her.”

“Emilee was fantastic with Ferguson while I was out of the country for six days. She followed his specific feeding instructions to a T and kept me updated throughout the entire trip with photos and check-ins which genuinely put my mind at ease being so far away. She was also housesitting at my place and left the apartment in great shape. Couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!”

“Emily was great. She was able to help me out last minute for the holidays and everything went amazing. She updated me frequently with photos. Came home to happy pups! I would and will definitely use her again.”

About: With over a decade of experience caring for dogs, I’ve been the go-to pet caretaker for family members since I was nine. Whether it was for relatives traveling out of town or my own beloved dogs, I’ve handled a variety of breeds and temperaments with the utmost care and dedication. Rest assured, your furry friend will be in experienced, loving hands. My daily routine revolves around my pup. Each morning starts with a walk before I head to school for a few hours. When I get back, we enjoy some quality time, and I make sure my dog is fed and happy. Even when I work the night shift, I have a trusted friend who comes by to take care of my dog. At night, my dog is right by my side, sleeping in the bed with me until the next morning. Your pet will be cared for with the same love and attention I give my own. I prioritize the safety and well-being of every dog in my care. Whether your dog prefers to be in or out of the crate, I ensure they are comfortable and secure. You can trust that I maintain a vigilant and caring watch over all the dogs I look after.

“Lillian was great with our anxious pups while we were out of town for a week! She checked in with updates, sent pics & we felt confident that they were in good hands the whole time.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Carondelet
Kaity was attentive and was so good to my dog, Reza. She came over multiple times throughout the day, spending a good amount of time with Reza each time. She sent pictures of him, and sent updates! She really did go above and beyond for him. 10/10 would recommend and will be booking with her in the future!

Cara took wonderful care of my dog while I was away. She was communicative, sending regular updates that gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear my dog was well cared for and in great hands. I had such a positive experience that I’m already booking with her again. I recommend Cara to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Vada was absolutely amazing with our two pups, one of which is a pretty anxious and energetic little guy. She sent pictures every day, played fetch, even brought our mail and left our house looking the exact same as when we left. So sweet and so good to our babies!
Niara is wonderful! We have hired her several times to care for our 2 pups and we always feel very confident that they are having a great time. She is very responsive, on time and great at sending updates and cute pictures! Already feel so relieved that she has agreed to help us for our summer vacation!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Carondelet walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Carondelet maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Carondelet choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
