About: I started caring for pets 9 years ago and have always had a love for animals. I used to live on a farm and I would take care of the horses and other animals. I went to college to become a vet tech and have been working in an animal hospital since I was a senior in high school so I have a lot of experience caring for animals. I do leave the house for errands and activities, so dogs should be comfortable relaxing at home alone for a few hours at a time. I have a quiet, dog-friendly home with no resident pets, and I only host dogs from one household at a time. I have a large, fully fenced privacy backyard for supervised play and potty breaks, plus a dog door that can be closed and locked when needed. Dogs are welcome to relax on my large couch, which is always covered with waterproof pet blankets. At night, dogs can sleep in their own crate in my downstairs den, on the couch, or--if they’re well behaved without a crate--on a dog bed in my bedroom. I don’t provide a crate, so owners should bring one if their dog needs it. I prefer to meet new dogs before their first stay so I can learn their routine and make sure I can handle them comfortably and safely. I’m currently best suited for friendly, reliably housetrained adult dogs who aren’t strong pullers, destructive chewers, or determined escape artists.

I enjoy running and would be able to take your doggo for runs if that’s something they’re into. I live within walking distance to the dog park in Tower Grove park. I’m pretty relaxed on dogs being on the furniture but if you have instructions on keeping them off I can adhere to that as well. “This was my first time using Rover and I must say I have absolutely no regrets! From day one, Leah was amazing! She was super responsive, warm and welcoming. I was so nervous to leave my cat Shai, as cats can sometimes struggle outside of their homes, but from the moment I let Shai out of the carrier, he was on the go! That let me know I made the right decision. Her kids were so gentle with him as well, which was another indication of a loving, safe environment.
