His healing progressed well under Carolyn's care. Even our vet surgeon was impressed with how much his healing progressed at his check-up 3 days after my return. What a relief to be on a work trip and know my dogs were in such good hands. The daily texts and pictures were lovely. Carolyn even taught our small dog to be more confident going in/out of the dog door and stop slipping through the gate to bark at the back door!”

I have volunteered at a dog rescue, and I have experience walking and sitting all sorts of dogs— small, large, young and excited, old and a bit slower, trained, untrained. I've raised dogs and cats and have done the whole shabang- training, potty-training, cleaning up messes, etc. I understand things happen and am patient with them. I'm happy to play with your pets, take dogs on walks, and give them extra love while you are away! I am a clear, honest communicator. I want you to be aware if anything happens you need to know about to ensure the safety of your pet. I have been on your end of Rover, and I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet with someone you don’t know very well. So I will send consistent updates and pictures, and be available for any questions from you. I can’t wait to meet your furbaby! I will treat them as my own 🩵 I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I have a few meetings spread through the day, but most of the time, I can make drop ins/walks work with whatever schedule is needed. And if I am dog sitting, I will be home all day since I work from home. At my home, I have a fenced in yard. I will supervise any outside time. I will make sure the leash and collar are secured before going on a walk. I don’t put my face in their face, and allow them to take the lead on contact and interaction. I know I’m a stranger to them at the beginning, and know trust needs to be built!

About: Not only have I grown up with large dogs for the past 23 years, but I have also consistently pet sat for families in need of a loving and reliable sitter. I’m the type of person who has to stop and say hello to every dog I see, so caring for furry friends is something that comes naturally to me! I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away. Although I do not train animals, I do have experience in providing oral medication as well as walks, feeding, and love! I’m currently in a transition period and taking a gap year, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility for pet sitting!
