“Emma was wonderful with our kitties! Her communication was outstanding—she always let us know when she’d be there and left detailed updates after every visit. We couldn’t have asked for better care. Thank you so much!”

“Kaylee was absolutely amazing. We did a meet a greet beforehand and she was so patient and kind with my big dog. She was communicative and made sure she knew everything she needed to care for our pup. I would 100% recommend and will be rebooking her again in the future.”

“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Rebecca was wonderful with my three cats! She was incredibly caring, thorough, and always on time for every check-in. I loved receiving all the photos and videos—seeing even my shy cats come out of their shells and play made me feel so at ease while I was away. Rebecca took such great care of my cats, and I truly appreciated how attentive, reliable, and consistent she was throughout every visit. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter :)”

“Samantha was absolutely amazing!!! I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my cats with someone new since it had been a while since they had a sitter, Samantha was just very polite and my girl cat is a little standoffish so the fact that she walked right up to Samantha without hesitation”

“Drew took such amazing care of our babies! It was a huge relief knowing she was stopping in and helping while we had a busy work week. Our dogs love her and we do too, we will absolutely have her back in the future and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have lovingly cared for my friends' cats and dogs since 2010, always in their home. (Please note that I do not accept hotel sit requests.) I enjoy quality pet time, and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting a variety of fur babies thru Rover and client referrals. I have a calm nature which soothes anxious pets and enjoy earning their trust and affection. Currently, pet sitting is my only job so I have a lot of time available to give love and attention to your pet(s). I prefer to care for your pets in their home, where they are most comfortable. I am honest, reliable, and dependable; don't smoke, drink, or throw parties; and will treat your home with great care and respect. As for your pets, as long as you provide me with the details of their usual routine, I will try my best to keep them to that routine. Being semi-retired, I have a flexible schedule to tend to the needs and wants of your pet(s). My daily routine includes waking between 6:00 and 7:30 am (unless pets need attention earlier), time outdoors, occasional sits with grandkids (in Las Vegas), and retiring for the night by 10 or 11 pm. As time allows, I enjoy exploring nearby trails and parks. I will treat your pets with love and respect, and have the schedule flexibility to maintain their established routines. I will honor your guidelines for your pets in your home and do not currently accept pets for boarding in my home. As for home care, I am happy to take out trash, collect mail, and water plants as part of my pet care service. With your permission to use the washing machine & dryer, I will launder bed sheets and towels that I have used during my stay prior to my departure on the final day of sit.
“Isaiah was great with the pups during the meet and greet, as well as their first drop in visit! Was able to follow directions and communicate the results of the visit!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I have 2 Labs myself that are family dogs. I am very responsible when it comes to walking dogs, playing with dogs, washing dogs, feeding dogs and simply loving them like my own. I worked at an animal hospital for 2 years and I feel very comfortable taking care of any kinds of dogs. Animal love is very important to me. Friends and family have personally reached out to me to stay with their pups while they are away at work or vacation because they trust me and also know how much I love and care for dogs!! I’m currently a student in college. I have classes 2 days a week so I have lots of down time to be able to spend time with your loved ones! My classes are only 1 hour 30 mins long 2 days a week. I feel comfortable in homes as long as you show me around and let me know where everything is for your dog. This is important to me because if I know where everything is I know I can be trusted on the daily to do what is needed for your dog. I care for pets by taking them outside or on a walk when it’s cooler outside. I love playing with dogs and snuggling up with them as well.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of multiple breeds, big and small ever since I could remember. Watched over multiple cats as well. Excepting last-minute bookings with my flexible schedule!! I am not in school so I have flexible hours. As well as a car on me at all times so I’m able to be there for animal when needed. It’s second nature for me to be around animals and in constant communication with their owners. Whether it’s pictures or updates. :) Communication is important for me so I will not hesitate to ask questions in regard to what the owner prefers for the animal. All the details matter to me.
About: With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and other pets, I'm the perfect choice for your needs. As a dedicated dog owner myself, I've personally trained my own dogs, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of a calm and friendly approach. My love for all animals goes beyond just my own—it's a core part of who I am. You can count on me to be reliable, efficient, and, most importantly, a friend to your furry companions. I work from home and have plenty of time for extracurricular activities! Especially when it comes to meeting new fur babies and getting a chance to care for them. I'm very good with animals and can easily adapt to their needs. I've raised my dog by myself since he was 4 weeks old and someone wanted to dump him, I took him and have been giving him the best life possible for his amount of time on this earth. About: Had dogs my whole life. Mines a coward and we'd need to check that he gets along with yours first, he'll get bullied if I'm not careful, the poor thing I stay home all day and spend as much of my time as possible outside. Your dog may come back muddy though, the messier you get the more fun you had and all! I am home all day with eyes/ears on the pets nearly constantly. I also spend so much time in environments that encourage explorative play and will keep most dogs too busy to get bored and act out in the first place. If a pet did act out, there's more than enough space in my place to separate animals and allow them to decompress. If at your place, mine is kennel trained for the same idea.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds since I was 10 years old. My neighbors, friends and family know the love and effort I put into caring for a pet, as well as the confidence in being able to care for their dogs or cats. I work part-time so I always have time and availability to take care of and play with your furry friend, without any complications. Available to offer accommodation every day or as many days as necessary for your comfort I have a park nearby where your dog can play at any time and I have an adopted cat that gets along very well with all the little animals.
“Debbie was amazing! I felt really good about leaving my kitty to her care. She had great communication and sent pictures and updates. She went above and beyond to make sure my cat was well cared for.”
About: I’ve always had a connection with animals and they have always been a big part of our home. I want to spread the love and get the opportunity to meet more pets! I’m a responsible 22 year old nursing student wanting to make some money doing what I love ! I’m currently available at anytime. Weekdays are preferred for scheduled meet-ups. However please message me personally to guarantee you and your pets needs :) Thank you ! Disclaimer* no aggressive dogs pls :) If the pup doesn’t get along with other dogs then please inform me ahead of time. I currently live with my grandmother and her smaller dog Benji who gets along with anyone and anything. Although I do prefer to dog sit at the owners home, taking care of your pups needs will be assured because of our big home, our backyard play area, and experience as a pet owner/watcher. Other areas of care would be daily exercise for your pups, a routined eating schedule, and my full attention and love !

About: I have cared for animals for the past 15 years and branched out my abilities to not just be able to provide basic needs such as food, water and bathroom breaks but to excel in every aspect with the animals. I was trained via Petsmart as a professional pet stylist in 2012 and continued this career at Petco where I was cross trained as a Dog trainer in 2015. As a pet care associate I learned how to tend to a dogs nutritional values as well physical needs. I also attended the Animal Behavior College to become a Vet Assistant. I have experience caring for special needs dogs and tending to seniors. In the past I have administered medications via injections, orally, and optically. I have been told that I have a "natural ability" with animals and have yet to find a pet that hasn't come around to me. I am currently hoping to make pet care and services my full time business. I have my state liscense and insurance for Josie and the Wagging Tails and full availability around prescheduled appointments. I do not currently board within my home. I offer drop in visits at clients homes in which the pet is able to feel comfortable while their family is away. I spend at least 30min in the home to ensure potty breaks, food is given, and playtime is achieved. Parents are able to add on more time to this visit for higher energy pets or simply to give the furry bestie some more people time.
About: Need somewhere for your dog(s) to stay while you go on that much needed vacation? Look no further, we can help! My name is Deann and my husband's name is Eric. We live in a friendly family neighborhood in Las Vegas, NV. We have two daughters 8 & 4 who both absolutely adore animals and love to cuddle and love on them. We have a 9 year old poodle/terrier mix and a 2 year old King Charles Spaniel, who are both friendly and plays great with other dogs. We were both raised in large households with multiple dogs and breeds. We have experience with pets with medical needs and can give medicine if needed. We both work from home which gives us the capability of being home with our pups! There is always someone home to take care of the animals! While in our home, your pup will have full access to our backyard and will be treated as family. Our dogs have access to our entire home and so will yours! Before bed, we do have a final potty break and lock up for the night. The pups can sleep wherever you or they prefer and will be taken to the bathroom right away. (Puppies will be taken out throughout the night as well to help decrease accidents.) Plenty of water will be left out during the day. Typically, we feed our dog before and after work, but can adjust to your pups feeding schedule/routine. If we are away, which is very seldom, we do have a security system with alarms and cameras and will check in frequently to see how the dogs are doing. While we are home, the dogs have full access to our huge yard with supervision. If you prefer, we can kennel any dogs who are kept kennel trained while their homeowner is away. We also can leave potty pads for the dogs to go if need be. Since it is winter, we may be able to get at least one walk on the leash in (if leash is provided and depending on weather). In addition to watching and loving your pets in our home, we can pick up and drop off your pets, bathe your pets, and also offer in home check ups on your pets as well. My husband and I both work remotely, which means we will have all the time to spend playing with and loving on your pets while they’re in our care! I have a fenced in yard with two playful pups who will help keep your dog busy! I can easily crate your dog if needed.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Desert View Point. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
