Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and plenty of other furry (and not-so-furry) friends taught me how much love and care they deserve. My top priority is always making sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feeling loved. From feeding routines and walks to cuddle time (or just calm company for the more independent types), I make sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for according to their unique personality. I love keeping pets engaged with fun, stimulating activities. For cats, that might mean interactive toys, puzzle feeders, or laser play. For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). About: Diagnosed with allergies in childhood, I didn’t have pets until in my 20s, when I picked a week-old kitten from a litter & raised him. Thelonious used to walk between my shoulders as I moved around the house, and slept in my bed. Friends told me he behaved more like a dog than a cat—very affectionate. We were very close. His death broke my heart & I still miss him. Seven years ago, I did cat-sitting for a friend whose apartment in NYC I stayed in for a summer while working nearby on Varick Street. He was a very easygoing cat. Years later, my stepson left his dogs at our house & I was their primary minder. I fed, walked & played with them every day. Although I’d been around dogs a lot growing up, it’s one thing to be around them & another to be responsible for them & develop relationships with them. Each of the dogs had a very distinct personality, and I found them fascinating. Through those & other experiences with friends’ pets, I’ve found that I’m able to make connections with animals that go beyond words. I never would have imagined such a thing in childhood. These days I do house sitting & drop-ins for clients in Monmouth & Mercer Counties. I’m tending to pets with a wide range of needs & dispositions, and love I give is more than equaled by the love I receive from them. I’m truly humbled & in awe. Professionally, I managed desktop publishing & automated publishing for a Fortune 500 financial firm for 20 years. So I have a long track record of responsibility & discipline. That combination of sensitivity & responsibility are what I bring to pet sitting. I only accept clients living within a 30-minute drive from my home, and my routines at home are easily adaptable to meet my clients’ needs. That means my highly flexible schedule allows me to provide your cat with the consistent time, routine, and attention they deserve while you are gone. I don’t rush my check-ins; I stay the full duration to ensure your cat gets plenty of physical play and mental stimulation. Because my hours are highly adaptable, I can drop in at the exact times your cat expects breakfast, dinner, or treats. I’m happy to take photos during my stay to enable you as the pet owner to feel secure about your pet’s care in your absence. I like to play with & talk to pets, and try to adhere to their normal routines, so they, too, feel comfortable in your absence.

“We had a wonderful experience! Miryam cared for our two Yorkies in our home for six hours and was attentive, responsible, and genuinely caring. She followed all of our care instructions, including feeding, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. Our 6-year-old Yorkie has some separation anxiety and was a little nervous after we left, but she was patient, gave him the time he needed to warm up, and made sure he was comfortable. She also did a great job keeping up with our energetic 1-year-old Yorkie, making sure he had frequent potty breaks and plenty of active play. Her attention to detail and communication gave us peace of mind, and it was clear our dogs were well cared for. We would absolutely recommend her and would happily book her again!”

“We booked Evgenii to dog sit in our home for 10 days while we went on vacation. Our previous dog sitter canceled and Evgenii was very accommodating for a last minute booking. We met him a few times for walks prior to this so our dog would become familiar with him and our dog absolutely loved him. About: I've had dogs since I was 14 and have taken care of them for family and friends over the years. That includes small and big dogs, young and old. Dogs in general seem to be drawn to me. I'm currently working part-time so that gives me more time to care for your pets and give them the attention they need and deserve. The best thing I can do is make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible while you're away. I do that by keeping them in their same routine everyday and giving them a lot of attention.

About: I am reliable and on time, I have taken care of house animals to farm animals and love them all. If you are away for several hours or need a late night check in, I’m your guy. I currently work Sunday to Wednesday 6am to 6pm and available 7pm to Midnight. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I am available most hours. Please feel free to reach out.
