“Boryana took amazing care of our senior pitbull, Brady. She was very patient with his quirks and eccentricities (e.g. he has acquired a habit of lying down for rests mid-walk). He often seems a little out of sorts after we come back from a long trip, but this time he was very relaxed and happy. Communication was top notch and our house was left in perfect condition. We can't recommend Boryana highly enough, and hope she'll be available to take care of Brady again in the future!”

“Ruth is someone like a person from your family. You can always rely on her to leave your pets. She perfectly looks after them. It is our first time but we would never look for someone else for our following needs. Thanks, Ruth Ebru & Serdar”

“Yasmine did a wonderful job and was incredibly communicative. She kept my home very clean as well. Definitely will be having her watch my cats again!”

“Rita took excellent care of our Border Terrier, Duffy, during a 4 night stay at her house. Before this stay, we did a meet & greet and Duffy did an overnight trial stay. Rita bonded with Duffy right away and she spoiled him with a Bark Box gift of treats & a toy. Rita was very flexible with Duffy’s arrival and departure time. She arranged her schedule to accommodate walks and trips to the dog park. Rita sent us lots of photos each day because she knew we were missing him. I highly recommend Rita because she genuinely cared for the welfare of our dog.”
“Stacey was prompt and arrived on time! Exceptional care provided by Stacey! Ralphie was well-loved and tended to with great attention to detail. Highly recommend her services!"”

“Calli was great and did everything as instructed, she was our first experience with Rover and did great with our two dogs and cat. It was great to enjoy vacation without worrying about our pets with Calli there watching them.”

“Jack was great! We had a last minute need for a dog sitter and he took the time to come meet me and the dogs before watching them on the weekend. He kept our dogs safe during a tornado warning and when we came home the dogs were completely relaxed.”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs over the past four years. Not only have I dog sat but I have also fostered dogs I am currently working full time but I am capable of checking in on lunch (if dog sitting) and can go straight to them after work I unfortunately don’t have a fenced yard, so we will be going on lots of walks. I don’t have any other animals in my home.
“Gregg is an awesome pet sitter. My dogs were very comfortable with him. He is kind, considerate, caring and he pays attention to detail. He sent many pictures and provided detailed status updates during the sit. My dogs and I will definitely be requesting his pet sitting services again soon!”

“Megan was awesome! She took great care of our dog and kept her so busy, she was tired and relaxed when we got home. Megan followed all our requests for the house and made it easy to be away without concern. We will look forward to having her back in the future. 😊”

“Sharyn was AMAZING! She is our new official dog and house sitter. We’ve never had anyone else at our home with our precious dogs, so trust is a really big deal for us. Everything was cleaner than when we left it, and the dogs were clearly happy and safe. We now can finally go on trips and not worry, we know everything will be handled here.”

“Marissa is so great! She was flexible when my travel arrangements got delayed and sent me lots of pictures of my fur baby. She is very responsive and overall, great to work with!”

“Sara was great! She was quick to respond to any messages and sent lots of pics while we were gone. We were grateful she could house sit as one of our dogs gets pretty anxious when he is away from his comfort zone. Our pups had a great time with her and we will definitely reach out again in the future!”

“Vanessa, thank you so, so much for taking great care of our pup. This was our first long time away from him and we’re as happy to see him as he is to see us. Thanks for all the great communication along the way.”

“Jimi was a terrific house sitter for my two dogs when I had to go out of town for several days. He administered medication to my 1 dog day and night, fed them according their demanding food guidelines, took them on walks, played with them and sent lots of pictures and texts. I couldn't believe when I got home and my house was vacuumed and kitchen sparkling clean. I would definitely recommend him for your fur babies!!”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lovers with a deep passion of caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and plenty of other furry (and not-so-furry) friends taught me how much love and care they deserve. My top priority is always making sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feeling loved. From feeding routines and walks to cuddle time (or just calm company for the more independent types), I make sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for according to their unique personality. I love keeping pets engaged with fun, stimulating activities. For cats, that might mean interactive toys, puzzle feeders, or laser play. For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). Every pet deserves the best care possible, and that’s what I promise to provide. Whether you’re going away for a day or a week, I will treat your furry family member as if they were our own. I’d love to meet your pets and help you feel at ease while you’re away!
“Abby was very accommodating and caring watching our high energy puppy for several days. Most importantly, we came home to a happy dog. Abby handled an unexpected medical issue promptly and professionally and we felt confident and at ease with our dog in Abby's care. It was our first time leaving him with someone other than family and we would definitely use Abby again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cranbury
Boryana was absolutely amazing with our three dogs over the Thanksgiving holiday. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving our pups in her care. She was incredibly attentive and loving, making sure each dog got individual attention, walks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. Boryana followed all of our instructions perfectly, kept the house neat, and sent us thoughtful updates and photos so we always knew everyone was happy and relaxed. We came home to three calm, content dogs and a home exactly as we left it. It’s clear Boryana truly cares about the animals she’s looking after, and that kind of peace of mind is priceless. Five stars isn’t enough—highly recommend Boryana and would absolutely book her again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cranbury walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cranbury maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cranbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cranbury. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
