“Kat was very attentive and super sweet with my pup, giving him lots of extra attention to ease his anxiety with fireworks over the holiday weekend. I felt much better knowing he had a friend to hang out with while we were gone. She was great at giving him meds and sending updates and pictures. I will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter!”

About: I’ve work with animals for 9 years now whether that is pet sitting, animal nutrition, fostering or training I love it all! I have 4 cats and a dog myself (black lab/german shepherd) but i also love to take trips. So i know how important it is to find the perfect sitter to take care of them when you can’t be there yourself! I’m currently working part time and studying so I have lots of time to play with your pets! I usually line my daily animal care routine up with my sitting routine so everyone gets taken care of morning and night. Saftey and trust are earned with many animals. Especially coming into your animals home I am there to respect them and cater to their needs. Let me know how to best care for your pet (favorite blanket, comfort toy, etc.) and i will make sure they have the best time!
“We had an incredible experience with this sitter while attending Star Wars Night. She cared for my service dog, Romy, who has separation anxiety since she's trained to be with me 24/7—and honestly, I was nervous leaving her. But this sitter was calm, kind, and handled Romy with such care and professionalism. She sent just the right amount of updates to reassure us without overloading our night, and when we picked Romy up, she even gave us a super cute report card detailing what Romy did, what she ate, and how the night went. It was such a thoughtful touch and really showed how much she cares. Her home is in a gated, secure community about 15–20 minutes from Disneyland (depending on traffic), and we felt completely at ease leaving Romy there. I’d absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her—especially for anyone with working dogs or pups that need a little extra love.”

About: I was that kid at the family party that asks to see your pets and hangs out with them the rest of the night. I’ve grown up around cats, dogs and various other pets. I trained my family dogs from puppies, and have experience working with both small and large breeds. My family had a German Shorthair Pointer with epilepsy that started after he turned 4. To manage it, I helped administer medication every 12 hours for 8 years. I am familiar with administering oral medications. With my job currently being on summer break, I typically go on walks with my own dogs in evenings, but have time throughout the day to drop by for a visit. Every creature deserves to be treated with respect, kindness and understanding, my pets are no exception. They’re my family, and I want them to have the best care possible - good snacks, plenty of love and affection, physical and mental exercise, and consistent rules and expectations. When I watch other people’s pets, I want to ensure that they feel loved, cared for and safe - whether that looks like cuddling up and being cozy or simply keeping my distance and sharing in the same space with them while I take care of them.
“Katrina has been so wonderful to us. Ben loves having her company & we love the peace of mind of having her home with him when we're away. As usual, she's very reliable, friendly, easy to communicate with, and we'll continue to use her services.”

“Emily has looked after my girl Lola on multiple occasions now, and I really cannot fault her at all. She has been super flexible and understanding with timings, communication with her is always easy, and we’ve come home to a happy Lola every single time. I can’t thank Emily enough - she’s a true gem!”

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns! Can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies 😁🩵 My day job is super flexible so everyday looks a little different for me. The more instructions the better I can tailor my visit to your pets!!!!
“Riley was very communicative and an excellent house guest. She sends lots of pictures and videos and took Teddy on lots of adventures. She also went above and beyond leaving the home tidy for my return. I will absolutely use her again in the future!”

“Holly was an amazing dog sitter. She constantly kept me updated on the status of my puppies as I enjoyed the day with my family in Disneyland. My puppies are only four months old, too young to be with other dogs and be outside. Holly watched them in our hotel suite because of that. I live in Northern California and it was nice to have someone who cared for my puppies like I would. I highly recommend hiring Holly and I will definitely retain her services in the future.”

About: I had a fur-baby for 18 years. Once I was old enough I started learning to take care of her so I could be her primary caretaker. Once she passed we did adopt another puppy. I would make his puppy formula. I potty trained and taught him tricks. Im great at providing care for dogs of all ages. I as well have taken care of friends and family pets when they are on vacation. I am currently working on my own time. That means I can work whenever there is anyone in need of service or assistance. I as well am able to work around any plans. I can provide whatever is needed from me. I can follow instructions thoroughly and I’m a quick thinker. I’m an active person so your pet will have a fun time and I’ll be constantly making sure they are safe.
“My pup was so well cared for! My girl is a rescue healing from an injury, and she can get nervous with sitters. But they were best buds after just one night! I received updates so I wasn’t worried, and it was a huge relief to find someone who knew exactly how to accommodate my dog’s needs. Would absolutely book again!”

About: I have about 3 years experience at a no-kill animal rescue shelter. We cared for both dogs and cats, bathing, feeding, walking, cleaning, the works. I have experience with all kinds of dogs, big, small, high energy, low energy, elderly, puppies, bully breeds, and more! I have some extra experience with puppies as my family used to breed Labrador Retrievers. I administered their shots, cleaned up after them, fed them, potty trained, and played as much as they wanted! I love animals and I'm here to help keep your dog happy! I’ve also had pets my entire life, and have trained them all myself! I have school a few days a week, so I can manage walks on weekends and on my off days during the week. I’m just looking for some extra money so I can contribute to the household. I am always one to be willing to do whatever your pet wants to make them happy. I have dogs, cats, and rats at my home, so I have a variety of tactics to be able to keep them entertained and healthy!

As a person, I am extremely clean, organized, responsible and have the ability to multi-task effectively. I am a quick communicator and will be able to send update photos while caring for your dogs! I'm very flexible in scheduling and eager to work and I look forward to meeting your beloved four-legged pals! I’m currently working full-time, but on a hybrid schedule, so I have some flexibility. Please let me know what rules you have for your furry friend, and I will gladly abide by them.
“We had such a great experience with Sue and are incredibly grateful! She stepped in on very late notice and truly saved our ski trip. From the start, communication was easy and reassuring. Our German Shepherd can be a handful, but Sue handled her with confidence and care. She made sure our dog got plenty of exercise with regular walks, and it was clear she was happy and comfortable the entire time. We really appreciated the updates and the attention she gave her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cypress
We've used Keane for both dog walking and house sitting, and he's been fantastic at both. For the house sitting, he did everything exactly as we specified and took great care of our home and dogs. He was responsive, really accommodating, and takes pride in doing the job right. We felt completely confident leaving everything in his hands even with one of our boys being more reactive. We would highly recommend him for any service and will use him again.

We had a great experience with Kat! She took wonderful care of our dog Luca while we were on vacation. She kept us updated throughout the day with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him, and we came home to a happy pup. We would absolutely have her again and we will recommend Kat to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thank you, Kat! 🐾💕

Alexa was beyond amazing. Our fur babies fell in love with her immediately! Our Mia is very particular with whom she warms up to. Alexa won her over quickly. Sasha needs to wear a brace and Alexa was happy to provide the extra care that required. Alexa left our house as we had left it. She was very tidy. We definitely recommend her.

This was our first experience with Rover and a pett sitter. Not only would I highlighly recommend them both if you like us do not leave your dogs at home but find yourself having to figure out what to do on vacation. Sofia was amazing, after our initial meeting and she arrived on time sent us pictures during the day. If we are ever in the Anaheim area again and need a pet sitter she will be the person I will call.
Candy is an absolute gem of a dog sitter! From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease leaving my dogs in her care. She is reliable, attentive, and genuinely loves animals, which shows in everything she does. Candy kept me updated and treated my dogs like her own. I came home to happy, relaxed pups, which says it all. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Candy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and wonderful dog sitter.

Julia was awesome. Was pretty anxious about leaving my boy with a stranger for the first time, but Julia and her partner had good vibes and showed she took the job seriously after our first meeting which put me at ease. She sent daily photos and updates for the 10 days I was away and my home was as clean as when I left. Will definitely ask for her help again in the future. Thank you!

This was our second time using Dillan to watch our two girls! He will always be our go-to pet sitter if he is available. I didn't worry for one minute while we were gone. He stayed at our home for almost 5 days and everything was perfect. Thank you Dillan! See you next time 😸

Miranda took such great care of our three dogs while we were away! Our number one deterrent from taking a vacation for years was worrying about who would take care of our fur babies. Miranda put all our worries to rest. She was sweet and loving to them. They loved her and were so happy. Miranda gave us updates and lots of photos. What a relief to have sound Miranda!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cypress on Rover is $67.99 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 14,352 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cypress. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cypress walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cypress maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cypress choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cypress. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
