About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs and family’s/friends for many years. I currently have my own 3 year old Golden retriever her name is Mika. I do all of her care (brushing coat/teeth, nail trimming, bathing, etc.) (I am not a groomer but a very particular dog mom). In the past I have sat for dogs of many ages and sizes from Terriers to English Mastiffs. I’m currently working full-time Monday- Friday. My hours do vary but I can be available early mornings or in the evenings. Depending on your location I may be able to do mid day drop ins as well! Weekends I am usually available all day! I have a fenced in back yard very spacious for my own pet. Her name is Mika, we love to be outside and play and have the zoomies all around we also have a fence for our deck area to limit access to the yard if needed. Mika is very friendly to all dogs and will just love to run and hangout with others.

About: I’ve worked in a dog day care and a daycare/ boarding facility, sometimes caring for around 40 dogs in one room for up to 8 hours. My duties included deep cleaning, spot cleaning accidents, laundry, outside playtime, indoor playtime, inspecting dogs for injuries, carefully observing dogs, monitoring for any illness or behavioral changes, deescalating altercations between dogs, and preparing breakfast and dinner for over 60 dogs during holidays in a timely fashion while following individual instructions for food and medicine. Once I stayed 40 minutes after my shift ended to accommodate a new pug who was a lot slower at eating than the others so he could finish his meal fully before I collected and cleaned up, despite my boss telling me I can clean up and go. Of course, I’d want someone to do that for my family. I have worked with small dogs a bunch, however, I’ve spent most time with medium and large dogs. I have experience being a live-in dog sitter for 2 senior dogs with arthritis, for which I had to administer medication, and one with an ACL injury, for which I gave physical support and comfort. I took them both potty outside every 2-3 hours. I have a German Shepherd-Pitbull mix and a full Pitbull who I trained in basic obedience on my own. They know the commands “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “come”, “paw”, “speak”, “go”, and “let’s go.” They are also trained to wait to eat while their bowls are in front of them until I say “eat” which can help train impulsive behavior, I can open their cage doors and they’ll sit until I say “free”, and they understand the word “off” when they’ve hopped up somewhere they got no business being! My dogs are very active. My favorite activities to do with them include hikes, fetch in the backyard, running after them saying “I’m gonna get youuu!!”, treat treasure hunts in the yard and house, puzzles, lick mats, and last, but certainly not least… CUDDLES! Your fur babies will have lots of fun, love, and care while hanging out with me! I’m a full time pet care taker! So I have plenty of time to hang out with my fur friends! I’m available for house sitting, doggy daycare, and walks at all hours of the day on Monday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m available from 6am-10am and 7pm-8pm. I’m available for boarding on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights. I care for each pet as I would my own and according to owner’s instructions while making sure client concerns and input are heard and considered. I like to spend a lot of outdoor time with dogs in a fenced in yard or on a leash around the neighborhood. For overnights I’d sleep with dogs in bed or guide them to their crate depending on the circumstances. During indoor time I like to cuddle, pet, and play mentally stimulating games with dogs, see if they’re interested in dog tv, and sometimes even teach them tricks if I’m able. I take dogs potty on a leash unless there is a fenced in yard I can use. For cats, I’d like to take them on walks around the yard if permitted, engage in sniffing and chasing games with treats and toys, convince myself I can teach them to sit on command (haven’t succeeded yet.), and give them as much loving as they want!

“Dew cared for my 5 ducks over the Christmas holiday for over a week, which involved feeding and moving the ducks between their locked coop in the morning and evening to their outdoor pen during the day. While I was gone, several states away, there was an issue with our water supply for the ducks for a day, and Dew was resourceful in making sure the ducks were watered. Due to low temperatures in the morning, the water could turn to ice overnight and needed to be melted - usually this could be done with water from my house, but there was emergency water work being done in my neighborhood while I was gone. We kept in good communication, and Dew brought hot water to our house to make sure the ducks could get water for the day. I appreciate that she went above and beyond!”

One time she couldn’t find one of my cats and she looked for a while before she called me to ask if there were any other hiding places in the house the missing cat might be using.
