“Rebecca worked very hard to keep our dogs comfortable and safe. She did a fantastic job, even with our very shy dog. she kept us updated throughout, We would definitely use her services again,”

“Let me start by saying I have two very senior rescues who both definitely have their quirks and needs. I was so nervous to leave Patch and Lilah during our vacation, because I had never left them since adopting them about a year ago. Tonie was INCREDIBLE! She has a vast knowledge of dogs and their needs. She sent me pictures of her outside playing with them, laying on the couch with them, etc. I will definitely hire Tonie again to watch the dogs for future vacations. She really truly cares about the pets she watches, that shows.”

“Mariah was amazing! She came to our house and watched our 2 dogs for 4 days and did a fantastic job! I got daily updates as well as pictures letting me know how the dogs were doing the whole time. She played outside with them and spent quality time with them! I knew they were in good hands while I was away. She listened to all of the directions and left our house very clean! I highly recommend her and will be using her again for future bookings! If you are looking for someone reliable and trustworthy, book with Mariah!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Tracy was excellent and very professional! Our dogs we’re crazy about him at the meet and greet. He also took care of our cats. We arrived back from vacation with happy well cared for pets and a home in perfect order. Thank you Tracy! Rachel K.”

“Franki was fantastic! She took such great care of our pups and home—we felt totally at ease while we were away. Can’t wait to book her again for future trips. Highly recommend! 😊”

“Natalie was excellent with my dog! I left for a week vacation and she house sat for him. She came over before I left to meet him and immediately had my shy dog excited to play fetch with her. She kept me updated throughout the week and I came home to a healthy/happy dog! Would definitely recommend!”
“Teresa was excellent taking care of our two dogs and kitten. She walked the dogs everyday, sent updates and pictures, and was very responsive. She also tidied up before we arrived back home. 10/10 would recommend!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we left, we knew our pets were in great hands. They were loved, well-cared-for, and clearly spoiled with attention while we were away. We got updates, peace of mind, and came home to happy, relaxed pets — which says everything! Reliable, kind, and truly wonderful with animals. We would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend to anyone looking for someone to treat their pets like family. Thank you for taking such great care of our furry crew!”

“Julia was great. My dogs were instantly comfortable with her, which was a great sign to me and made me feel much more relaxed on vacation. She sent pictures daily to show their mood and they were doing well. She was reliable and communicated really well. I would book her again and recommend to friends.”

“Zoe did a great job loving my puppies while I was gone. She communicated with me and sent pictures of them during my time away. When I returned home everything was in order and it didn’t even look like she had been here. I will definitely be using her again.”

“I was nervous about leaving my dog because she's a senior and very dear to me. Hannah was wonderful. She sent me pictures and updates. I arrived home to a happy & content doggie. Hannah did a great job and I highly recommend.”

“Our animals were happy and healthy when we got home! House looked great, and we didn't worry the whole weekend. Dominick is great, and we'll definitely book him again!”

“I was incredibly hesitant to use another sitter from Rover after a terrible experience the last time but I took a chance with Brandi & Luis because the second I met them during our meet and greet I felt like they would be different and I was right! They were the BEST decision I made for my two doggies! They came right in and actually said hi to my dogs and showed so much interest in them and seemed to love them instantly! They worked with my schedule to do exactly what I needed and stayed at my house the entirety of my time away. I used them over the Fourth of July and one of my dogs does not do well with fireworks so I felt awful leaving her but she couldn’t have been in better hands! They stayed with her the entire time and followed my instructions down to every last word. They sent frequent updates with pictures and there was not a second I was worried my doggies weren’t being loved! They spent their time relaxing on the couch with them just like they do when we’re home and I know they took the absolute best care of them! I can’t wait to use them again if needed and I know my dogs will be THRILLED to see them again. I can’t speak highly enough, this was without a doubt the best Rover experience I’ve had and now I don’t ever want to use another dogsitter because I don’t think you can do better than Brandi & Luis!”

“Alissa was perfect for our Bailey! We had a really bad experience with Rover and was hesitant to try them again. She renewed our faith! Bailey was well taken care of. We will definitely use her again!”

“Christie was fantastic! Biscuit does not like for us to leave her but she was actually good when we got home. Many times she has barked at us because she is mad that we were gone. She was glad to see us but not upset. Christie was very responsive by text and offered to send pictures while we were gone. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, fish, and even the occasional bunny. Because of this, I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs. I have experience walking energetic dogs, caring for playful puppies, and making sure senior pets feel safe and comfortable. My background helps me tune in to each pet’s unique routine and give them the same love and attention they’d get from you. I currently work full-time, but I have some flexibility during the week with enough notice. I hope to be working from home full-time soon, which will allow me to be home more often and more readily available to help care for your fur babies during special events, last-minute trips, or whenever you need an extra hand! As of right now, I have a domestic long-haired cat and a puppy who is a Mastiff-Pit mix. I’ve had my cat, Garrett, since he was born and my puppy, Storm, since April of this year. They are getting along much better now, although Garrett will occasionally swat at Storm when he gets a little too playful—there have never been any fights between them. Storm is very sweet, social, and full of energy, and he loves playing with other dogs. I also have extra rooms available to give visiting dogs their own space when they need a break, some quiet time, or simply a little room to themselves.

We couldn’t be happier with our Tonie! She did such a great job taking care of Brewster and made us feel completely comfortable knowing he was in good hands while we were away. Everything went smoothly, she was reliable and attentive, and Brewster was happy and well cared for when we got home. We would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be using her again!

Bree is so much more than a dog sitter. Had big storms come through that knocked tree limbs all over the place, including my roof. Bree took a ton of pics and shared with me so I could accurately speak with my insurance. Aside from that, my pups were very well taken care of. Bree kept me updated on when she was leaving, how the dogs were doing, play time, and sent a TON of pictures throughout the week that were sent to me. My dogs seemed very happy and were worn out when I got home. I will definitely be booking with Bree again as travel needs arise for work. If youre reading reviews on Rover and not sure how to start this process (like i was), start with Bree. She came to my house for a couple hours prior to the requested dates, met the pups and asked a ton of questions about their personalities. I honestly probably overdid it with the details, but it honestly feels like she remembered the details. Stop scrolling through the reviews and reach out to Bree. 10/10 will book again.

We had a meet and greet and that went very very well. We found we had a lot of things in common and our dog Sammy really warmed up to them quickly. We just had a good vibe that they were gonna take really great care of our house and our fur baby.! They also provided excellent communication throughout each day by sending texts, pictures and videos! And when we arrived home, the house was immaculate. Everything looked so nice and welcoming after being gone for a whole week. We would highly recommend them and we’ll definitely use them again. Thank you both so much for your care with Sammy. 🥰🥰🥰

Mariah was amazing! If you are looking for someone reliable and trustworthy, book with Mariah!

Natalie was absolutely amazing with our golden retriever, Lola. She kept us updated throughout our trip and sent us pictures and check-ins without us even having to ask, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was obvious Lola was getting lots of love and attention! On top of taking incredible care of Lola, we came home to a spotless house! Natalie is reliable, thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely cares. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crestwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crestwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crestwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crestwood. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
