My family has been pet sitting for as long as I can remember. It helped to instill in me a love for animals that has followed me into adulthood. I adopted my dog at 2 months old and had one before him as well that I also trained. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible.

I don’t really have the ability to care for pets in my home right now because I live in an apartment. The fact that I work from home though allows me the option to work from anywhere that has a wifi connection. My company also offers flexible work hours. My primary concerns when taking care of another family‘s pet(s) are maintaining a routine close to what they are accustomed to, respecting the boundaries of their owners, and providing the kind of care I would want someone to give my dog.

Mariah did a great job taking care of Toula! She played with him, sent many photos and videos, and also provided commentary on how he was doing. Her communication was fantastic and made us feel at ease while we were away.
Mariah was excellent! She was concerned and caring. She made me feel like our two cats were in the hands of someone who actually cared about them, not just a person who fed them and then left. We’ve found our new pet sitter. Thank you, Mariah!

Schedule
Currently, I live in an apartment with a sizable on-site dog park. I take my dog, Wrigley, there once a day in addition to two short walks and one longer one. I recently moved here from Indiana so, right now, I have plenty of schedule flexibility and time to fill. I love pets so I figured offering my services on Rover would be a good opportunity.
