“I would give Samantha a 10 if I could. She went above and beyond for us. I found Samantha after my previous sitter had to cancel unexpectedly. Samantha was very friendly and organized. My 2 dogs loved her right away. I was so happy that the pure excitement of my pittie did not overwhelm her. I could tell she had had experience with rambunctious dogs and handled it without problem. She asked questions that showed it was important to her to do the kind of job I wanted. I appreciated that. I also got to learn a little about her and her experience with pet/house sitting and felt very comfortable that my doggies would be very well taken care of care of. She kept me updated with pictures of them and their daily activities which included our pitty finding baby possums. When she texted me, I sent my daughter over so Samantha wouldn’t have to take care of it. But my daughter texted me back and told me Samantha had it all handled by the time she got there. Samantha also handled bad weather with the pups and informed me of tree damage from falling tree branches. She can handle it all. I came home to a very clean and organized home. I think the pups were glad to see us home but couldn’t really tell if they missed us or not. To me, that’s a good sign of a great sitter. “I was incredibly hesitant to use another sitter from Rover after a terrible experience the last time but I took a chance with Brandi & Luis because the second I met them during our meet and greet I felt like they would be different and I was right! They were the BEST decision I made for my two doggies! They came right in and actually said hi to my dogs and showed so much interest in them and seemed to love them instantly! They worked with my schedule to do exactly what I needed and stayed at my house the entirety of my time away. I used them over the Fourth of July and one of my dogs does not do well with fireworks so I felt awful leaving her but she couldn’t have been in better hands! About: Hello fellow dog owners! My name is Kevin and I am a fun, loving dog person! My partner and I are new to Fort Wayne, recently moving here from Anchorage, Alaska (yes, we drove!). With a 14 year old senior pooch of my own, I understand the incredible bond we have with our beloved friends. I have had Brita since she was 2 months old, and now that she is a subtle senior, her and I have built a friendship that is forever lasting. That is why I want to help out other dog owners and make sure your fur-baby is well taken care of and provided for, so you can feel stress free. Having a pet of my own has really built up a trust of my circle around me. Friends and family members feel comfortable asking me to watch their animal from time to time, which is a very rewarding feeling. With me your pooch will have plenty of play time, walks and many belly rubs! UPDATE: My partner and I recently adopted a 4-month-old Beagle puppy named Juno! My amazing senior dog, Brita (my trusty co-pilot), has completely embraced her role as big sister and is already helping teach Juno the house rules. Welcoming a new puppy into our home has brought back so many great memories from when Brita was little, while also giving me hands-on experience with puppy training all over again. It's been a wonderful reminder of the patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement that help young dogs thrive! Whether you have an energetic new puppy or a sweet senior dog, I'm confident I can provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to their needs. My experience caring for both a senior dog and a growing puppy has given me a deeper understanding of how to meet dogs where they are at every stage of life :) I am currently not working, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I am available during the week and most weekends. When I am at a clients home, I make sure I ask all the necessary questions, and follow their detailed instructions for their pet. I care for them the same way I would at my house. All the attention! Having used Rover for my own dog, I am the type of person that needs reassurance that my pet is okay. “This was our first time using anybody to watch our dog and home other than family or a boarding center, so we were super skeptical about the Rover process and hiring a stranger to watch our fur baby. However, quickly after meeting Logan, we knew we would welcome her in our home! She was very responsive, friendly and obviously loved animals. These traits were still apparent while she watched our dog in our home for 10 days. She sent us 2-3 pictures or videos of our dog daily (but also stated she didn’t have to if we didn’t want to be bothered on vacation) and we loved getting those updates! When we returned, the house was nice and clean, including fresh laundry and an empty dishwasher. She also offered to water our flowers and they were surprisingly healthier looking when we got back so I know she spent time holding up that offer too. Overall, our dog seemed happy and well cared for and we were pleased with the level of communication she provided.
