I'm a recent graduate of the College of Charleston with majors in Sociology/Psychology and Studio Art, and I am now pet sitting full time which leaves lots of time for your pets; this includes late night, weekend, and holiday care. In my education, I took courses in conditioning and learning which has applications in pet behavior and training. Additionally, I worked as an ABA therapist for 6 months helping children with autism spectrum disorders. I'm always up for a challenge :) I know that other pets are also part of the family. Beyond dogs and cats, I am happy to discuss care for reptiles, exotics, rodents, rabbits, and fish as well! I am also certified in cat and dog CPR and basic first aid through the American Red Cross, see my photos for my certificate. I am comfortable administering oral medication (pills and liquid) such as gabapentin and chemotherapy, insulin injections, subcutaneous fluids, and other medication/equipment like slings. Meet and greets are complementary and I'm happy to learn how to use any other medication I'm lacking experience in. I am privately insured through Pet Care Insurance for additional coverage beyond the Rover Guarantee. Originally from Indiana, I've grown up around animals and love to interact with every pet's unique personality. I live with my cat, Smudge, and hope to begin fostering pets soon. I've been called a cat whisperer for even the most timid of cats. Walking and pet sitting helps me keep busy and healthy (a win win!). I'm also a dog walker for Wag! and absolutely love it with over 130 5-star reviews. I have experience with dog breeds ranging from teacup Yorkies to Great Danes, 10 week old spaniel puppies to 15 year old blind seniors; I love them all. Check out my photos for some highlights. When we needed a sitter for our cat for the week, we instantly thought of Paris. And once again she was absolutely wonderful, sending great updates, spending quality time with Lily, and being very clear with communication. Came home to a very happy kitty.

Schedule
I live in the Foster Park area, but am typically able to travel anywhere within a ~10 mile radius for walks and drop-ins visits while you're away. I have access to my own car that is very reliable and I am glad to drive to most places in the metro area. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! I am also happy to travel to other destinations for house sitting, please message me for details. HOUSE SITTING: This service (with the exception of destination sitting) includes minimum 2 drop-ins during the day and approximately 10-12 hours overnight, typically 8pm-8am. Additional walks or drop-ins beyond the included 2 can be booked as an add-on to the sitting. I offer 24/7 care at a set rate of $250/per 24 hour period with up to 4 pets (not available during the holidays). Discounts may be provided for strictly overnight care. Any non-emergent messages or requests sent after 8 pm will be responded to in the morning. Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment
Many pets are anxious in new environments; I have pet CBD I can administer as needed as well as white noise machines, extra toys, and activity feeders to keep them busy during a my visits, if needed. I am very attentive to individualized needs and requests, no two bookings are the same! In my home, my spare room is completely dedicated to keeping pets comfortable. They are free to roam if they would like, but some pets prefer the quiet space to retreat. It includes beds, toys, and windows to look out. It is also pet-proofed so no accidents happen. I do ask that cats have their nails trimmed prior to boarding and dog owners provide kennels for boarding.

A typical day
I like to customize what I do with each pet depending on that pet's unique personality and owner request. Walking to the park and playing tug or chase is a given, but I also love to walk along the ample paths and parks in Fort Wayne. When boarding, I love watching pets come out of their shell and my cat playing with his new friends. I have recently moved back to be closer to family and am excited to explore the area more!
