“Fantastic! Jenna and her sister Morgan watched my Golden Retriever for 5 days while we went on vacation. They sent tons of pictures and messages while we were away. My house was immaculate upon returning and my dog was happy.”

About: Your fur babies will feel at here. I have many years of experience with working with small pets from after birth until the stages of adulthood. I work mostly nights. So I am available to interact with your pets throughout the day. I do have a helper in my home (my mom). Who helps to take care of the pets with me. I take the pets for walks and allow them to free play throughout the day. I have a room set up for the pet boarding. The pets are allowed to roam in my home.
“Nelson was great with my pups! They had a great time. He updated me frequently with pictures. He even set up a kennel for me and cleaned up before he left. I will use Nelson again!”

About: Hi! I’m a professional dog trainer with 6 years of hands-on animal experience. I’ve worked with dogs of different breeds, ages, and personalities, and I always focus on making each pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Animals have always been my passion, and I treat every pet like part of my own family. Whether I’m walking, training, or spending time with your dog, I bring patience, responsibility, and lots of love to every visit. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I structure my work schedule around my Rover bookings so I have dedicated time for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I always make sure pets are let out, walked, and fed on a consistent schedule, and I don’t accept more bookings than I can safely handle. When I’m at work or school, I plan check‑ins before and after, and I’m available early mornings, evenings, and weekends to give your pet plenty of attention. Your pet’s needs come first, and I build my day around keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable. I have a fenced yard and your pet’s safety is my top priority. As a dog trainer with 6 years of animal experience, I’m confident handling different breeds, energy levels, and behaviors, and I always use secure leashes, harnesses, and crates when needed. In my home, your dog will be in a clean, pet‑friendly environment with plenty of space to relax and play. I also have a very friendly golden retriever who loves company and can be a great, gentle playmate for social dogs. I supervise pets at all times, introduce them slowly, and never put them in situations that feel unsafe or overwhelming. I’m reliable, communicative, and respectful of your pet’s routine, and I’ll send updates and photos so you always know how your dog or cat is doing.
“Paul did a great job with our girls. They were always “smiling” when he sent updates and was very good a communicating. He was happy to do some extra skimming of the leaves from the pond and trash duty as well. Would definitely have him back!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care I have for animals. While this is my first year on Rover, I’ve been around and taking care of animals my whole life. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and know they’re in good hands. Im currently working on an online business where all I need is wifi and my laptop. Im also a college student looking to make some extra cash to pay off tuition. Both of these things I can do online anytime which leaves me for plenty downtime and study breaks I can spend with my furry friends! I care for every pet based on their individual needs and routine. I make sure they’re fed on time, get plenty of attention and exercise, and have a safe and comfortable environment. In a client’s home, I’ll follow their instructions closely and keep their pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. My main goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away.
“Monika house-sat for our Husky, Pitbull and our cat for 17 nights while we were overseas, and she was outstanding. Daily photo updates without us asking, consistent cleaning and feeding schedules, and all animals were calm and healthy when we got home — which says everything after two-plus weeks. Zero worries the entire trip, and for an international trip that peace of mind is worth more than the booking fee. We'll rebook her without hesitation.”

“Jasmin has watched our dogs before and she always does such a great job. One of our dogs is on a raw diet with probiotics galore and she does great with all the instructions. Such a lifesaver to have her stay in our house as our senior dog has never stayed anywhere else. We are blessed to have found her as our go-to gal! She gets our mail and keeps our plants alive which is just an added bonus! Thank you!”

About: I have an exceptional talent in making each and every canine and feline feel happy and loved. They thrive under my care, and love individual attention and understanding. Pet care is second nature to me, and fits extremely well with my current lifestyle of working part time and living in a retirement community. Pets cared for in my home are well loved and get lots of attention. I walk dogs regularly, and am exceptional at playing with and caring for them. I am in the backyard with them whenever they go outside.

About: My entire life, my home has been described as the neighborhood’s “local zoo.” From livestock to pocket pets, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals over the years. I’ve volunteered working hands-on with animals at the zoo, and currently care for two dogs, one cat, some small animals, and fish I’ve been pet sitting for over five years and have experience with many dog breeds, ages, and personalities. I focus on building trust, supporting positive behavior, and helping animals feel safe and comfortable in my care. I believe pets deserve to enjoy being animals—without unnecessary stress—while still feeling understood and respected by the humans around them. I’m currently a full time commuting student. My school hours will begin at 8am and end at 4:30pm most days. I will be available to feed and walk your pet before and after these timings. Weekends I am free with notice. Pets are allowed supervised free roam of my home. During the day, they will likely be confined to one room or a crate if needed while I’m at school. Pets will have unlimited access to water, other dogs to interact with, plenty of toys, etc.
About: Since I was a little girl I been around dogs. My brothers dad had a Rottweiler so growing up Tyson was always around us. As I got older either friends or family members had pets. Weather it was cats, guinea pigs, hamsters or fishes you name it. I love being around animals it’s so therapeutic and joyful to me. I am available for dog walking Monday-Friday hours btw 8am-8pm. Pet sitting at least a week in advance sometimes last minute is ok with me. I make sure they are fed have they water are taken out for the day twice maybe even three times of the day. If it’s nice out we can go to the park play run around hey active. If we are indoor I can still play and interact with your pet to make sure they are happy.
“My dogs' mom couldn't care for the dogs at the last second before my trip. Karen not only agreed to do it, but she went over and above by staying at the house with my pups. They were so excited to see Karen and had a lot of fun. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend Karen for your puppy needs!”

“Jasmine stayed with our 2 dogs while we were on vacation for 4 nights! Our dogs are picky about who they like and they warmed up to her super quick during the first meet and greet. She took great care of them and the house as well. We got updates each day and she responded quickly when we reached out to her!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I provided dedicated senior care for my chocolate Labrador, Copper, who lived to the incredible age of 18. Today, I have two pit bull mixes that join me on hiking adventures throughout the year, and I even harness-trained my kitten for outdoor adventures. I treat every pet like family and understand that each has their own unique personality, needs, and routine. Whether they're energetic or need a little extra care, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I am currently a wedding photographer in off season and have pretty good availability during the week for pet sitting. I typically work weekends but with enough notice and special occasions I'm flexible. I have one high energy dog and one older dog. So daily walks are a must. Sometimes separate and sometimes together. Our walks are typically 1 to 2 miles. I have two friendly dogs at home but I do have smaller home and a husband with allergies. So in my own home would probably be a case by case basis. As for other people's home's I'm flexible and respectful of house rules.
“So thankful we found Rayven! We have a reactive dog so leaving him is very stressful. Rayven was amazing with our 2 dogs and our house. We will for sure be using her for all future trips. Highly highly recommend! She sent photos and videos and communicated the whole trip. Came home to our house actually cleaner than when we left. Rayven is a true treasure and we are so thankful for how much love she gave our babies while we were gone.”

“This was my first experience with Rover, and I’m truly so impressed. My dog unexpectedly had surgery, and I needed to hire someone to watch him when I attended a wedding to ensure he didn’t scratch/lick his wounds as he is a little MacGyver and manages to get out of every cone known to man. Insert Britteny saving the day! She was willing to help with a last minute request, and she was SO attentive to Benny. She sent me so many pictures which eased my anxiety so much, and gave Benny his pain and antibiotic medication regimen without any hiccups. She graciously accepted every request I had, and went above and beyond. The proof was really the fact that in many of the pictures, Benny is curled up cuddling Britteny. I would absolutely recommend Britteny for any of your dog walking/watching needs! Both Benny and I can’t wait to ask for her help again soon.”

“Geneva was assumed with Pepper and beans. Being very tentative with them when it came to feeding and being let out. Also spending some social time with them. Ill def recommend and hire again for future vacations.!!!”

“Jenny was amazing! She had great communication with us the whole time. We knew our pups were well taken care of by their demeanor when we returned. They were so calm. We have already rebooked her!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Crabb is $45
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Crabb
I had such a great experience with Emma. She was extremely flexible and willing to work with me and my dog’s needs. Nothing ever felt like a problem or inconvenience, which made the whole experience so much easier and gave me a lot of peace of mind. Her previous experience in the fields she’s worked in also made me feel very comfortable and confident leaving my dog in her care. She was accommodating, easy to communicate with, and overall really great took great care of my pup. I would definitely trust her with my dog again!

Katy went above and beyond with our senior Frenchie girl, Maggie. Maggie began having seizures in February and is on meds, but there's still a risk of seizure and she needs regular medications plus guidance/assistance because the meds make her loopy. Katy brought Maggie to work with her so that she could be observed carefully and when Maggie did have a seizure she suggested we have Maggie stay at her own home and be watched by her partner so that she wasn't stressed out by the drive each day. We felt so secure with Katy caring for Maggie and are already trying to book her again!

Suzanne went above and beyond with our two dogs! We have a young puppy who still has a lot of difficulty sleeping and Suzanne was so incredibly patient with him and went out of her way to make sure he was well taken care of during our time away. She was very communicative and gave us daily updates on how both dogs were doing and sent lots of photos. I would not hesitate to recommend her if you are looking for a sitter. We will definitely be using her again in the future if she is available.
Amy was great! She took phenomenal care of our two dogs. Followed our instructions to the letter. She sent daily pictures and clips of the dogs playing and on walks. She even came over for 30 minutes a day early to meet the boys so they wouldn't view her as a stranger. She even ran our robot vacuum daily so we didn't return to a hairy mess. Will definitely use her again next time we go out of town. Thank you, Amy.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Crabb on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 3,066 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Crabb. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crabb walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crabb maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crabb choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crabb. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
