I'm changing my previous review. Suzanne was initially referred to us in April for a last minute vacation when my grandfather died. At the time she did wonderful and I was incredibly pleased. The only thing I didn't like at that visit was that she was still in the home when we arrived back waiting for her daughter to come pick her up and then both were quite chatty. But not a big deal and I wanted to hire her again. We had agreed to hire on a personal basis for both of us to avoid fees which I did for two upcoming vacations (June and July) and I did well in advance. She agreed via text, and then a few days before the first vacation she decided she was changing her rates on me. She ultimately left the rate as is which was appreciated but it was very frustrating to bring that up just a few days before my trip as opposed to when I initially texted her to book. I understand reach change but that needs to be discussed at booking not right before a trip- it's the principle here. Then for the next trip which was a long one again just a few days before the trip she reached out and said I would have to schedule it through Rover instead of what we had agreed upon. Over the past couple months she had numerous times to speak to me about rate changes or scheduling issues. However, both times she waited until right before my trip where it was impossible to find anyone else. So, I tried to book her through Rover but she had herself blocked for my vacation so that was a bump to navigate. Which she eventually took care of.. fast forward to the vacation, I had asked her about caring for my house plants of which I have a lot and she said she would I provided very detailed instructions and came home to house plants that were so dry the dirt was shrunk. My outdoor plants were not watered and one died and needs to be replaced. I came home to a comal pan with a giant rust ring on it obviously something wet was sitting on it. I came home to a used toilet brush sitting on the floor and stains from that exact toilet brush throughout my house where she obviously had carried it from one restroom to another. The bath tub was covered in dirt stains and the downstairs restroom had a half used soap bar sitting in the sink. If that wasn't enough, one of my pets was also sick with a bowel obstruction when I got home. There was also dried urine and poop in my dogs kennel. And all of this after me being gracious enough to allow her to use the pool and allow her daughter to come visit, and sending her a flower arrangement for her birthday when I found out it was her birthday. She even had her daughter visit on days that I wasn't notified. I did my due diligence of documenting everything however I don't have the time or energy in my life to pursue things further with rover and will let this be a lesson learned to listen to people when they say stay far away from this app. But I did feel I should leave a review to let others know what they can expect. I would hate for someone else to have this kind of stress and service in their home. I did reach out in regards to these issues to which everything was denied and I was met with, "I don't know what you're implying." I definitely will not be booking again and I most certainly will not be using Rover again.

Housesit with cat Suzanne did good taking care of our little guy!

Suzanne went above and beyond with our two dogs! We have a young puppy who still has a lot of difficulty sleeping and Suzanne was so incredibly patient with him and went out of her way to make sure he was well taken care of during our time away. She was very communicative and gave us daily updates on how both dogs were doing and sent lots of photos. I would not hesitate to recommend her if you are looking for a sitter. We will definitely be using her again in the future if she is available.

Suzanne was lovely! She was able to help us last minute and did a wonderful job! She stayed in touch the whole time and sent update pictures! She even helped with some dishes and laundry!

Our giant puppy was no match for Suzanne. She's always so lovely and caring of our girl. Will continue to use her services, for sure!

Suzanne is always so diligent and caring with our puppy. I really appreciated how communicative and careful she was during her house-sitting. Will definitely hire again!
