“Crystal was outstanding watching our cats while we were away. Our social cat loved playing and spending time with her and our antisocial cat even warmed up to her a little. Crystal puts a lot of effort into her daily reports and getting pictures for us to make sure they are okay. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!”

“Quynh did an amazing job taking care of our dogs during her drop-in visits. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure they were happy and comfortable. Communication was great, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We would absolutely book with Quynh again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter! 🐾”

“She is fantastic! Very dependable and the pups love her. :) I’m usually so nervous when I travel but the pictures and her warm and friendly personality put me at ease. ❤️”

“Absolutely AMAZING! They were so good with my pitty and did all his favorite things! They took such good care of him I will most definitely be using them in the future and highly recommend!”

“Merryn was very nice and phenomenally communicative while taking care of our 4 dogs and helped beyond our expectations! Our dogs were immediately comfortable around her as well. We will certainly be booking if ever needed again in the future!!”

About: I have Animal Shelter and Pet Store experience. I have had pets all of my adult life and sincerely believe that they are the best enrichment of human lives. I have medication experience and have been trained to be cautious of medical conditions. I can be trusted to act fast for worst case scenarios (knock on wood). I know how to take the best care of pets with the knowledge I’ve learned from my own experiences over the years. I work full time at a dealership but, with enough notice I can make sure to be available for your pets when needed. I am available every evening after 7pm Tuesday - Saturday and all day Sundays and Mondays I have 2 cats, a free roaming rabbit and geckos at home with my partner. I love taking care of their individual needs and giving them treats and toys to make them happy.
“Julie was amazingly patient and creative with our girl, Chloe, whom we've never left with anyone other than trusted family in the 6 years we've had her. Julie came for an intro, went on a walk, learned Chloe's "tricks" (along with her fears!) and listened to all our concerns. Chloe did GREAT, and welcomed Julie with a wagging tail by day 2!”

“Laura did an amazing job taking care of my Roxie! She was able to come through last minute when a different sitter fell through at the last moment before I had to leave town. She always informed me when arriving and if there were any issues. I would highly recommend her especially if you have a senior dog. She took extra good care of her!!”

About: My family and I have raised and owned pets in the house since I was a young child. As a member of your family, they deserve the utmost care and respect. I love playing and taking dogs out for walks. Entrusting your dog with me means they are given the same love and respect that you do, and hopefully going above and beyond. It’s a huge leap of faith leaving your animal with someone else and I hope to be like a secondary family member to your dog instead of just a caregiver! I currently have an open schedule. I can provide pet care as much or as little necessary. I am flexible and great with time management in order to provide the best service for your pets! It is important as a new person coming in to not disrupt you and your animals routine too much. I want to provide care that can match your daily life or needs as much as possible. It is important to me to gather all the appropriate information and to follow instructions ensuring you and your pets happiness.
“Stephanie’s attention to important details shows that she really listens to her clients. Everything I shared with her in our meet and greet has been met or exceeded! I’m so glad we found her and I don’t have a worry or hover over my rover account because I know she’s got it covered. Thank for the piece of mind so I can enjoy my time away.”

“Our cat, Cassiopeia, was in good hands with Olivia. From our first meeting, Olivia was thorough with her questions and notes, making sure she knew how best to take care of our kitty. She was accommodating with Cassie's special needs and let us know when anything unusual came up. And her daily updates let us know that everything was being taken care of. Thanks, Olivia!”

About: I have had dogs all my life and a good pup brings me joy. I have 1 dogs of my own that I love to take on long walks, hiking, and to the beach. I would love to share those experiences with your loved ones aka dogs!! I know we live in busy world and sometimes we need just a little help keeping the pups happy, please let me help so you don't have feel guilty for not taking your buddy out. A few things your dogs will experience while in my care are attention, love, affection, and of course some treats if you will allow. I am a very out going person and your pups will be in good hands. I am here to help. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to care for your pets to take on walks and more. I am available on weekends and weekdays. All dogs I for care will receive walks, snuggle time and more throughout the day, rather they are in my home or their home. Thanks

“Kathy was really wonderful with our cats and made the most of her time with them every day while we were away. Would not hesitate to rebook with her in the future!”

“This was the second time we had Eleonore take care of our kitties for us and she is wonderful. She makes sure to understand instructions, ask questions as needed, and is so sweet to our babies. She treats my babies as if they were her own. She played with them, and took lots of pictures to share with us. We will definitely keep asking Eleonore to watch our babies.”

About: I’ve taken care of family and friend’s dogs and cats: for 2 years now. Often times I would have their dogs stay with me. I kept them safe, cleaned, fed, and happy with play time and walks. I also have spent time with cats, doing drop-in visits, and feeding them. In addition I have an 11 year old cockapoo, so I can confidently say I have experience with animals and dogs that are different breeds and ages. I enjoy being around friendly animals. I’m currently off of school for the summer, so I’ll have lots of free time to take care of any friendly cats or dogs, happily! I enjoy taking morning walks with my dog, and would love to share this experience with other dogs! I am an owner to an 11 year old cockapoo who has a unique personality. I can confidently say I have great experience with taking care of pets. In addition I’ve taken care of 4 other dogs with different personalities and breeds, so I’ve gotten the hang of being adaptable. I offer dog walking and check-in services, providing exercise and care. Your pet will receive personalized attention, ensuring their happiness and well-being while you're away. I make sure your pet is well-fed, has water for hydration, and is being taken out for walks, bathroom breaks, and provided play time. I think it’s important for dogs to let out their energy, as storing energy can cause anxiety. In my eyes your dogs, are your children, and during my time and visits, they are my number one priority!
“Ashley did a great job caring for our cats while we were away. She took the time to spend time with them and make sure they felt safe and comfortable around her. We felt at ease knowing that our cats are well cared for. Even my super shy anxious kitty approved of her!”

Kierstin did a wonderful job taking care of our kitty! She was able to and willing to add the additional care of giving our kitty eye drops twice a day after a recbent eye scratch. She communicated well and gave us lots of updates, which was helpful with our kitty’s health not being 100% while we were gone. We have used her several times and would absolutely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
