About: I’ve had dogs, cats, and small animals my whole life. I’ve even fostered with rescues in the past. I recently lost my own dog and thought maybe I could cuddle someone else’s while they travel. I work from home and have a fully fenced yard which your pet would have access to at any time they like! I work from home for the Dept of Veterans Affairs and usually have the back door open for access to the fenced yard throughout the day. Outside of errands, I am typically home with them. I have a fenced yard with plenty of access for the pets. When they’re here, they’re family so if they want in the sofa: great! Sleep in bed: even better! Or if they prefer the safety of their crate, that’s good too. I want them to feel comfortable. Unless they’re from the same household, I prefer to keep one dog at a time to make sure they get undivided attention. But, if they’re social and like to play, I live super close to the dog park! If you just want drop-in visits or walks, just let me know how I can best accommodate and I’ll be happy to work something out to suit your needs.
“Our shy little kits took right to Lisa! She was so communicative and reliable. She was also very flexible when we has to extend our time away, which we really appreciated! We are so glad she was able to take care of our pets!”

About: For as long as I can remember, I've lived in a household with pets! As a kid, my family had a little shih tzu and then later on we had a huge pit bull mix (we also almost always had at least 3 cats running around, adding to the craziness). I've always loved getting to spend time with animals because of their vastly different personalities, from the lazy pug I currently have to the crazy cats I take care of for friends! I'd love to get the opportunity to spend time with your pet too, whether it's taking them on long walks or just playing with them around the house! I'm currently a full-time employee with lots of flexibility in my hours. I'm available most days from noon until 10pm! Some days may have slight differences in hours based on if I have any work meetings, but I'm always transparent with my availability! I live in a gated apartment complex currently with a large dog park. Because of my current home, I only offer drop-in visits and walks. Because of this, I'd be visiting your home. I believe in treating everyone's home with absolute respect so I'll make sure to follow all rules you set for your space as well as ensure your pets are safe and happy at the end of my visits!
About: I have cared for all sorts animals my whole life, from as small as a gerbil to as large as a llama. I have previous experience working in a boarding kennel and veterinary office. I have experience working with special needs animals and administrating medications. I work full time, 6-8 hour shifts 5-6 days a week. I am almost always done with work between 1 and 2 pm at the latest. I don't have consistent days off but can be flexible with availability. For pets who need extra care throughout the day (potty breaks every 4 hours, 3+ meals, etc.), I can typically work accommodations into my schedule for those in the 98664/98683/98684 area. I am well-versed in behavioral signs of animals and will make them feel safe and trusted while I am in their homes. My main goal is always to support your pets in whatever way they need.
About: Raising my own dogs for the past few years has taught me a lot about being a caring, patient, and compassionate advocate for our animals. In the past, I've cared for dogs ranging from puppies to seniors, and have some experience administering medications as well. I'd be more than happy to reinforce (positively) some basic training for your pups as well if that's something you'd like to work on! I currently work remotely during the weekdays, and can reliably find time to step out and take care of all your pet's needs throughout the day! My evenings and weekends are a bit trickier as they vary day to day, but I'm confident we can work out something in advance. I live a relatively active lifestyle and will happily play with your pets to give them the physical and mental stimulation they crave. No problem at all if they just want someone cuddle with either! I am also big proponent of listening to you as an owner, and making sure your pet is cared for accordingly, worry-free.
About: Gigi loves all the babies! I’m a cat & dog mom and Gigi to 3 grandkitties who live right next door. Would love to spend time with your little (or big) sweetheart too. Confident with dogs of all sizes including reactive dogs, meds administration for dogs and cats, and am available for overnight care. I’m currently working from home and make my own hours so can easily work around your schedule. I’m available for drop-in’s, walks, and overnight care. I have a calm energy most animals welcome and I’m usually able to gain their trust early. Having raised 2 dogs and several cats through medical conditions and several moves, I’ve become very attuned to their body language which helps me to understand their needs and wants.
“Sammy was an amazing cat sitter and I can’t recommend her enough. She is incredibly kind and clearly has a natural way with animals. My cats are usually very shy and take a long time to warm up to new people, but they were comfortable with her almost immediately, which says a lot. She kept me updated while I was away and sent lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear they were happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust Sammy to watch my cats again in the future!”

“Timely, does everything we needed, and goes above and beyond to try to spend time with a shy cat :) Mine refused to come out and greet her but she got me a picture for every visit! Also appreciated her willingness to work with the hassle of getting into and finding a unit in a huge building without us home.”

“Sydney was so amazing with our cats! She made sure that they were well taken care of and got lots of love. We can't thank her enough for how well she took care of our cats!”

“Megan's always so reliable, I never have to worry about leaving the cats in her care. I always know I'll get pictures of them sitting in her lap or chasing cat toys, and then come home to happy kitties. Highly recommend!”

“Marissa is awesome. Very friendly and reliable. She took care of our dog Hana while we were away. She sent pics, fed her, let her out to go potty, and spent time with her. Marissa will definitely be our go-to from now on :) Thanks Marissa!”

“Once again, Julie did a fantastic job caring for my two cats, who tend to be skeptical of new humans. We've booked Julie multiple times now since from the beginning she's set my mind at ease and gone above and beyond to earn their trust. I really appreciate the updates and photos she sends each day, as well as the peace of mind that comes from knowing I'll come home to healthy and happy cats. Highly recommend. Thank you, Julie!”
“Madelyn, thank you for taking such good care of Frodo! The pix are great, plus the extra info on how he’s been doing. When we returned from our trip today, Frodo was a happy, content cat — just as we love to see after being gone a few days.”

“Amy is incredibly thoughtful and thorough! She gave us the peace of mind that our 3 shy cats were well taken care of during our trip. Will definitely book her again in the future!”

About: While I've grown up with dogs and cats, I also have professional pet sitting experience taking care of dogs with diabetes, blind cats, guinea pigs, and even a llama! Pets and their caretakers have trusted me so much, they have flown me to their new homes after moving out of state for further petsitting assignments. I give emotional connection and comfort to pets while they're missing their humans, even reading aloud to them, because I believe it is an integral part of the job. Currently, this is my primary work, so I will have time to spare to take care of your animals. I volunteer regularly at animal sanctuaries and other orgs to improve the lives of animals. I have typically been asked to spend the night with the pets in the client's home, and spend as much time with them as possible, but I can also make daily visits instead if necessary. If you prefer I make visits, keep in mind the distance it would take for me to get to your place, and consider allowing me to make fewer, longer visits instead of multiple brief ones throughout the day.
About: I am obsessed with every animal under the sun, although the fluffy ones are my favorite. I have had a snake and hermit crabs as pets (in addition to the usual dogs and cats). I am notorious for remembering a pet's name while forgetting the name of their human. Nothing gives me more joy than meeting a new animal and learning all their quirks. I especially love working with pets who need a little extra care and attention. I spent five years living with a highly reactive dog, and have done reactivity training with my own dog for around 4 years. I have also served as a dog-walker for the local animal shelter, performing basic leash training with high-energy dogs. I really enjoy working animals on their terms - I am happy to sit quietly with a dog or cat until they feel comfortable enough to approach me. One of the reasons I like house-sitting and drop-ins are because pets tend to be much more confident and comfortable in their home, especially with a stranger. Whatever their needs, I will make sure to keep them comfy and happy. I have a flexible schedule and generally accommodate with enough notice. My transportation options are somewhat limited, so I prefer to work local to Vancouver. I am very respectful of my client's home and their established routine. I will work with you beforehand to make sure all your pet's needs are addressed.

Shyan treated my dogs with the best possible care!! From the meet and greets to the dog walks to the visits in my backyard, she is amazing. I work long shifts and need my babies to get some one on one and she does a great job. Her pictures and explanation of the visit are top notch. Thank you Shyan!!!

Linnea is consistent and always provides updates and photos when she comes to take care of my cats and turtle. She is highly effective, communicative, approachable, and always brings a can-do attitude. I feel very much at ease leaving my pets in Linnea’s capable hands. Thank you Linnea!

Emily is the best thing that has happened to me and my dogs. She truly cares for them and help me when I work long days. She is so flexible and will work so hard to try to accommodate your request. It means so much to me all the time that she has gone over and above for me and my dogs. If I could, Emily would be my dog-sitter for life.
