We were so surprised, and caught off guard, by how much we loved this guy. This depth of love is like no other, he stole our hearts... he truly was our furry child. In 2012, our family unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our very best friend... our partner in crime, confidant, walking buddy, foot warmer, bed hogger, brother, therapist, "mommy's big guy", and co-pilot. We were heartbroken, and our home felt so empty and quiet, even with our 2 1/2 year old son keeping us crazy busy. "Austin" had changed our lives forever. He filled our hearts with joy and our life with love, and taught us things like humility, always greet everyone with enthusiasm, any time is play time, everyone is a friend, each moment is a new moment, never hold a grudge, smell every thing along the way and roll in the good stuff, chase anything that runs, and keep one eye on the cat. After our loss, we started helping a local dog rescue by fostering dogs coming out of high kill shelters. We felt this was "Austin-Approved". It was a way for us to give back while providing them a safe, loving space where we could discover their personalities, quirks and qualities and they could feel loved again while waiting for their new fur-ever homes. "He took my heart and ran with it, and I hope he's running still, fast and strong, a piece of my heart bound up with his forever" -- dog quote by Patricia McConnell Meet my pets We currently have no pets. Ratings and reviews
Lisa accepted our last minute request and did not disappoint. It was evident from the photos that our girls had a great time and got lots of snuggles, especially for a 30 minute drop in. Highly recommend and will definitely reach out to Lisa again.

Lisa is truly amazing. She has taken such good care of both my cat and dog. She sends so many pictures, very communicative, and it makes me happy to know they’re in good hands. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Lisa is sincerely top notch and so professional! We will always hire her! Her communication is exceptional!

Lisa is always fabulous and is an excellent communicator !! I trust her and value her attention to detail, Top notch!!

Lisa was amazing with our (usually very particular) senior kitties! She immediately made them comfortable and was able to get them to take their meds in all the various ways they need them just on her first visit with them. Lisa was a great communicator and was able to do all of this on short notice- you can't find a better match!

Lisa was great! My cat loved her and was calm when we got home. She took great care of her!!!

Schedule
Your dog will hang out with my family as if they were our own, and if it's not too hot out, they'll typically be my co-pilot as I complete errands and/or drop-in visits.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We have a small fenced yard, and never leave dogs unattended when they're outside. We always prefer dogs to wear a harness when we go on walks.
A typical day
Your dog's sleeping arrangement Bring his bed and favorite toy and he can sleep next to our bed at night (since our bed is already pretty full), or he can sleep just about anywhere he wants during the day. Time I'll spend with your dog Being an at-home mom works to your advantage, as your dog will hang out with me and my family and will typically go where we go.
