Ander was communicative before and after the visit. There was a mishap with the Rover app and recording photos/the Rover card but Ander explained this was his first time doing a walk vs boarding. I would ask Ander to walk my dog in the future!

About: I have 11 yrs of experience taking care of my own dogs and know that they are much more than pets, they're family! So I understand the importance of leaving them in the hands of not just anyone, but someone who's trustworthy, responsible, reliable and caring. Not only do I have these attributes but I pay attention to detail and will meet your furry friend where they're at. If they're shy and need time to warm up and feel safe, I can do that. If they're ready to play and want lots of petting and belly rubs, I can do that too! My priorities will always be safety, making sure that I attend to their needs and your specifications! I have a flexible work schedule and love to stay busy. Playing with or taking care of animals is my ideal way to spend my extra time! I'm able to play with, feed, walk and care for your dog/cat in the way that works best for them! I'm detail oriented and will be sure to provide the care that they need.

Danika is a great communicator. Appreciated the text messages and pictures of the dogs. She was very considerate of the dogs in terms of the temperature outside for walks. Made adjustments to walking depending on the weather. Showed concern for our dogs' well-being and safety.

Jaycee has a great rapport with my reactive German Shepherd Dash. She dropped in while I was on vacation and it worked out well so she’s going to drop in and walk him during my upcoming vacation. Dash is particular about strangers but he is quite comfortable around Jaycee.

Can’t recommend Rachael enough! Zuko always comes back well-exercised and happy after each walk with Rachael. I also love that she provides updates and photos, which made me feel reassured while I’m away. I just really appreciate the care she provides to Zuko! I will definitely be booking Rachael again in the future.

Wonderful person and so happy to find someone trustworthy to walk my dog on the weekends! She responded quickly with little notice due to my poor planning during my move to Lakewood ranch and that was above and beyond in my eyes. Thanks so much Chloe!

About: I’ve taken care of my own dog since I was 12. We have a great bond and he is extremely spoiled, as he should be! I’ve got experience taking dogs on long walks, giving dogs baths, teeth brushing, hair brushing, and a lot of play time. I currently work full-time as a preschool teacher and I do ABA therapy part time with kids on the spectrum. I’ve been able to manage caring for my own pets and pet sitting for friends while working Full-Time with no problems. It provides me with a much needed break from work. My apartment is relatively quiet for most of the day, lots of room for the dog to run around or relax if they want. My Apartment complex also has a nice area with a lot of grass for dog walking and play time. It is a gated community with a lot of friendly neighbors who have their own dogs.

About: As a devoted dog owner for the past 13 years, I understand that every dog deserves patient, loving, and dependable care. Caring for my own senior Havapoo has given me experience with the changing needs that come with age, from slower walks and extra patience to sticking to routines that help dogs feel comfortable and secure. I specialize in drop-in visits and dog walks and will treat your pet like one of my own. Whether your dog needs exercise, playtime, potty breaks, fresh water, feeding, or simply companionship while you’re away, I’ll provide attentive, personalized care. I know how important trust and communication are, so I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos after each visit. My goal is simple: to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while giving you peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a dog of my own and understand the importance of consistency. My schedule allows me to provide dependable drop-in visits and walks throughout the day, and I enjoy spending time outdoors and staying active. I take pride in being punctual, following each pet’s routine, and giving every dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s a midday walk or checking in while you’re away, I’m committed to making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions to help keep them comfortable while you’re away. During visits, I can provide walks, potty breaks, fresh water, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention. I’ll also send a quick update and photos after each visit.

About: I can provide an energizing walk or run with your lovable pet, as much as I can spend a quiet, relaxing night in ensuring the comfortability and safety of your pet. I can accommodate baths, minimal grooming and brushing, medication and dietary needs. I have taken care of puppies less than a year old, senior dogs who need oral medication and diapers, and dogs like who are mid life adults who just want exercise and fun. I have cared for dogs from 5 lbs up to 50 lbs, and have taken care of new born kittens to adult cats. I’m currently a full time graduate student at the University of Illinois Chicago with free time outside of school. I enjoy pet care outside of classes. I abide by house rules when caring for pets inside the owner’s home or apartment. Having my own dog, I understand their safety inside and outside is important.

About: As someone who works from home, your pup will receive constant love, attention, and supervision throughout the day. Aside from the occasional quick errand or appointment, your dog will rarely ever be left alone. I’ve been caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities for over 19 years. From energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and TLC. I have a friendly dog of my own who loves having company, so your pup will have both human attention and a built-in playmate if they enjoy being around other dogs. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home during their stay. Your dog will have access to a large, fully fenced, secure outdoor area where they can safely play, explore, and get plenty of exercise. I can also accommodate crate-trained dogs if needed and will always follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I truly treat every dog like family and understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring, reliable hands while you’re away. Please let me know if your pup has ever been boarded. This is important as I’d love to make them as comfortable as I can. It is important that your pup gets along with others as I do have a dog of my own and also care for other pups as well!

About: I have had dog and cats of my own from childhood to adult. I grew up with cats and continue to care and love our friends kitties. Unfortunately a family member is allergic so I don't get to have them in my home but love to play with them in yours. We have had Australian Shepperd mixes, cattle dogs, mutts, and pugs. When our old pugs died, we decided to just foster or pet sit. We fostered pugs and pug mixes for 3 years and continue to volunteer our time with the rescue organization. We pet sit for friends and house and pet sit through another service. I love to cuddle and play with all the furr-babies. A loved, exercised dog or cat, is a happy pet. I also have no problem with older animals who need medication or shots. I have done all of this and am comfortable with minor animal care. Can't wait to care for your babies. I am retired but do volunteer and attend other activities during the day and the evening. Some of this is flexible to meet your needs. I can stay in your home or drop by for feeding and walks, whatever fits your needs. You can book either a drop in or an overnight stay. I would keep your dogs and cats in your own home. Dogs and cats are typically more comfortable and behaved in their own surroundings. I would follow any safety rules you have established for your pets. I can keep small to medium potty, and preferably crate-trained, dogs in my home.

About: I have previous work experience at an animal hospital where I was just a receptionist but gained quite a bit of knowledge there as well. This included me taking dogs on walks and giving the dogs and cats love and attention when they were with us. I have been petting sitting here and there for the past 8 years. Depending on the day I am available for a morning and/or evening check in or walk. Monday abc Wednesday I usually expect to be available all day. I currently am not accepting any pets in my home due to such a small space and two other animals. If I stay in your home I will be there around the clock. I enjoy taking dogs for walk and playtime so I would ensure this is done everyday.

Cambria was an excellent dog walker. She stepped in during a time when we were dealing with an illness and unable to give our dog the attention he needed. We felt completely comfortable with her caring for our little guy, and we would gladly hire her again in the future.

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
