About: I have been the trusted family and friend dog sitter for over 15 years, consistently being the first person people turn to whenever they go out of town. I grew up in a home surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me and has become a true part of who I am. I recently lost my Shih Tzu due to old age, which also gave me meaningful experience caring for a senior dog and understanding the patience, attentiveness, and gentle care older pets require. I care for pets by focusing on maintaining their normal routine, comfort, and safety while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they are my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and consistent care throughout the day. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, walks, and any special instructions such as medications or behavioral needs. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet owners can feel confident and connected while they are apart from their pets. The services I offer include dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, and house sitting. During walks, I ensure pets get safe, enjoyable exercise suited to their energy level. For drop-ins, I provide feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. Kira's been our rover since we moved to Detroit, and our dog's hung out with her and her dog many times at this point. Our dog clearly loves staying over, which is rare for her, and it speaks to Kira's ability to care for animals and be responsible and present.
