“Yantian has done an amazing job taking care of our two dogs. His communication has been excellent and always keeping us updated with pictures and letting us know whenever something comes up. He’s been great with walks, and it’s clear our dogs really enjoyed their time with him. In fact, they didn’t even want to come back with us (lol🤣) which says a lot! We truly appreciate the care and attention he gave them. Highly recommend!”

“Arman is lovely! He had Katsu for around 12 hours and took great care of him, sending lots of pupdates and photos of their time together. Would highly recommend Arman!”

“We’re very grateful Della could dog sit which such short notice. From the start, her communication was clear and timely. She had a calm, confident demeanor with our dogs making us feel at ease while we were away. Even when small mistakes happened, she handled them so kindly and didn’t turn us away. Our dogs were in great hands, thank you so much.”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life -- both my own dogs and as the go-to sitter for friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. Across my extensive time caring for dogs, I have gained experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am particularly good with nervous or timid dogs, and I am very comfortable with dogs who have special medical needs. Last year I had to say goodbye to my own greatly beloved dog after two years of very intense cancer care. While I am not ready for a new dog of my own yet, I am eager to shower other people's dogs with affection and care. I have a very flexible schedule and am available for dog care most days. On days listed as available, I am able to spend almost all of the time at home with the dog(s). I do not currently have any other animals in the home, and your dog will receive my full attention! I have a wide variety of dog beds for them to try out and toys for them to play with.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15. I walked and watched my neighbors, friends and family’s dogs when they went on vacation or during the day for potty breaks. I love dogs and have always had a dog of my own. I will treat your dog as if they were mine. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I walk my dog every 3 hours with a long walk in the morning and evening. I walk my dog very frequently, with a long walk in the morning and evening adding up to 5 miles a day. I can also take your dog to the dog park if you and your dog are comfortable with the dog park. I can crate and give medicine if necessary.

About: I have had pets my whole life and I have worked with military bomb detection dogs for the last four years, making me very familiar with pet care. I am currently in college seeking a business administration degree, so I am pretty much available all throughout the week for outdoor activities in San Diego. I have no pets at the moment as I am currently living in an apartment and do not want to limit there mobility and or exercise.

“Camille was amazing with my mini dachshund puppy! She was super flexible with my long work hours and change of schedule. Sent pictures and updates throughout the day and an hour by hour note of everything they did at daycare that day 🥺 she spent so much time playing with him and taking him on walks even during her work day, I know he felt loved!”

“Everything went perfectly! Ashley was great with communication and kept me updated so I knew Luna was doing well. Luna seemed very comfortable and happy when I picked her up. I’d definitely book again!”

“Neena was great! She was available last minute for doggy day care and took our dog for two walks during the day. She was flexible with us and we would use her again!!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a young boy - dogs, cats, fish, you name it. I’ve raised three dogs myself from pups for their entire life and have been around dogs and animals my entire life. I have taken care of senior dogs and dogs with behavioral issues and special needs. I have extensive knowledge and experience in dog behavior and believe in continuous, life long learning and training. Every dog is a special and unique individual. I love to understand their personality and needs and so that I can provide them with the best love and care possible. My partner and I work remotely from home where we enjoy living in a spacious condo with our dog Jake. Jake is extremely well socialized and friendly and he gets along with all dogs, animals, and people. We have a big sunny balcony that dogs love to sunbathe on, a dog park in our building, another dog park at PetCo a block away, and we take Jake and dogs out for multiple walks a day around the neighborhood. If you choose to board or leave your dog with us they will have a wonderful time and get whatever treatment they need, whether that is a relaxing day at home lounging around, playing with Jake or having their own private space, sunning on the balcony, going for walks or even watching movies if they like. We love to provide our dogs with a stimulating and caring environment and would be honored to do the same with your special pup. My partner and I work remotely from home with a flexible schedule so can accommodate your busy schedule and needs. There are two of us so your dog will get plenty of attention and as many walks and cuddles as needed. We live in a very spacious, secure luxury condo with a sunny balcony and multiple dog parks on site and nearby. We have a well trained and extremely friendly and social dog ourselves, and safety and security is our top priority.

“Marc is fantastic. Our pup can be very timid and frightened. Marc was super patient and gentle with Mia. Very few people win her over, especially so quickly. Thank you Marc!”

“Adrian was amazing! She was super flexible with my changing plans. I love that she gave a full update at the end of the stay so I knew he was in good hands! Totally recommend:)”

About: Hi! I’m Chelsea — a lifelong dog lover and dedicated pet mom based in San Diego. I grew up with a German Shepherd and have always loved dogs. Over eight years ago, I brought home my 100lb Bernedoodle who is truly my baby and best friend. I completely understand how special these pups are and how important it is to trust someone to care for them like family. I’m very experienced handling large breeds, reading dog body language, and making sure pets feel safe and happy while their people are away. Whether it’s a long walk, an energetic play session, or a calm cuddle, I adjust to your dog's needs and routine. I know every dog has their own personality and I’m patient, kind, and reliable. I also have years of professional experience in operations and guest service, so you can count on great communication and dependable care. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes so you know your furry friend is happy and in good hands. Let’s chat about how I can help care for your pup! Caring for pets is something that naturally fits into my daily routine because I already plan my day around my own dog! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize dog walks, playtime, feeding, and any special needs your pup might have. I tailor my care to your dog’s needs! In my home, I provide a safe, loving environment with walks, play, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to meet up prior to make sure our pups get along. In your home, I carefully follow your instructions to keep your dog’s routine consistent and stress-free. My goal is always to make your pup feel happy, safe, and loved.

About: I’m downtown and perfect for anyone in the area. I can do picks ups, and park time. I love all dogs and can handle up to five at a time in my home. My dogs are service animals and extremely lovely. They will mainly be in my boarding facility in Newberry Springs but you could occasionally see them here. I’m excited to host your furbabes! I take my dogs to the dog park between 545 and 5am and we stay for about an hour. Your dogs can come to that. It’s the grape street dog park. I also do dog runs at night between 6-9pm. I treat pets like humans. Love and redirection constantly. Your dogs might even leave better behaved and I won’t charge you extra for it. Lol

“Took amazing care of my deaf puppy! He came back happier than he left 🤣”

“Courtney was amazing with Frodo - he was so happy and relaxed when I got back! Thank you”

About: Dogs and cats have been part of my family as far as I can remember! I’ve walked, bathed, groomed, and trained numerous pups! My favorite pastime is a long walk on a sandy beach with my furry friend! I’d do it every day if a wet dog didn’t smell like a wet dog. Your pet will be treated as a part of my family! Im currently a college student on vacation for the summer staying with my military boyfriend. I’m available almost 100% of the time! With potty breaks every 2-4 hours and daily exercise at a doggy park or beach, your best friend will have the best time with me! I have friendly animals to keep your furry friend company! Athena is my one year old german shepherd! She loves to play ball and would gladly share with her new friends! Ivy is my one year old kitty. She’s by far the sweetest cat I’ve ever had and gets along great with Athena! I’m sure she would appreciate more company! We have a crate if needed! Living in an apartment with a doggy relief area has been incredibly useful! There’s also a rooftop which makes for amazing photos of our pup!

About: I truly love dogs — they’re my favorite thing in the world! I've rescued several dogs from bad conditions, so I understand how to care for pups even with special needs, give medicine when needed, and be patient and gentle. I respect every dog's space and let them enjoy their walks at their own pace. I'm very attentive to details and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I work from home, so I have open availability and plenty of time to take care of your dog with attention, love, patience and dedication. I’m happy to take care of dogs in their own home. I always follow their feeding, treats, and walking schedules exactly as instructed. I spend quality time with them — playing, brushing, giving gentle massages, and making sure they have fresh water at all times. I can also help with baths, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and flea checks.

“To whom it may concern, It is with great pleasure that I write this reference for my friend Fernanda, who is applying for a position as a dog walker and pet caregiver. I have known Fernanda for a couple years now, and I can personally attest to her deep love, respect, and commitment to animals. One of the qualities I admire most about her is her active dedication to animal welfare. She is not simply an animal lover in theory—she has spent many years working with an animal protection and rescue foundation. Within this organization, she has played a key role: organizing donation drives, helping run events and sales to raise funds, and showing remarkable leadership and initiative in every cause she supports. In addition, Fernanda rescues stray animals, takes care of them with great responsibility and affection, and ensures they are placed in loving, responsible homes. I have personally witnessed the compassion and care she gives to every living being, always making sure they receive the love, medical attention, and opportunity for a dignified life. What makes Fernanda truly special is not only her experience but also the genuine empathy and respect she brings to everything she does. She is a trustworthy, responsible person with a big heart—qualities that are essential when caring for animals. Without a doubt, I am confident that Fernanda will be an outstanding dog walker and caregiver. Anyone who entrusts their pet to her will be leaving them in the best of hands.”
Core dog parents share their Rover experiences
Beth takes the best care of our girl! Bea always comes home completely worn out and ready for a good night sleep. She always seems so happy when we pick her up. ☺️

Brooks took such great care of our Phillip II. He got lots of exercise that is much needed. So happy to find Brooks nearby!

Mariah was a great dog sitter for our Cavalier named Maisie! She made sure to walk our pup around the neighborhood and spent some good play time at the near by dog park and took the cutest photos! She was quick to respond to my messages and made me feel safe about leaving my dog in her care for the evening. Thanks again!

Della was really amazing. She took care of my dog with love and so much care. She sent updates throughout the day and takes her walk multiple times. I would recommend 100% to anyone needs to find a dog sitter, she is the one. Next time when i go San Diego, i would definitely contact her again.

Audrey was an outstanding pet sitter for our dog. Our dog is typically shy and takes time to warm up to people, but Audrey built rapport with our dog immediately and made her feel loved and safe. We are absolutely grateful for finding her to take care of our dog! Audrey has such calm and caring energy that made all the difference with our dog! I know that our dog will miss seeing Audrey! I will definitely book with her the next time we are in need of care! Thank you so much Audrey!

Our pup had a great day with Julia! She was well taken care of, happy and we will be using her again! Thank you!!!

Marc is fantastic. Our pup can be very timid and frightened. Marc was super patient and gentle with Mia. Very few people win her over, especially so quickly. Thank you Marc!

I can’t say enough good things about Mo and Eugene! They took such amazing care of my two Frenchies, Manny and Jimmy. Not only were they incredibly kind and attentive, but they went above and beyond to make sure my boys were comfortable and happy. They took them on walks and even brought a wagon with their water in case they got too warm or tired to walk back. A sweet and smart touch, especially for flat-faced pups like mine. I felt comfortable knowing Manny and Jimmy were in such caring hands. Highly recommend Mo and Eugene to anyone looking for loving, reliable sitters!

Madeline is the best sitter we have found on Rover! She gives our pup all her attention, plays with him, and takes him for long walks. I highly recommend her!

She was a professional, had a lot of photos and videos, responded quickly, and was very nice. Our dog loved it! Highly recommended!

Our dog loves valentina! She is great at taking pictures and communicating with us while taking care of our dog. We would use valentina again!

Arman is lovely! He had Katsu for around 12 hours and took great care of him, sending lots of pupdates and photos of their time together. Would highly recommend Arman!

Mac had a great time at Alexa’s. We were in town on family business for two weeks and Mac stayed with Alexa nearly everyday. He looked happy and content everyday we picked him up. Alexa was very flexible with scheduling and was great with communication I would highly recommend Alexa as a caregiver and will use her if we should return to the San Diego area.

Halle was amazing with Venus! She provided updates, had great energy and my baby seemed very happy to have spent time with her while we are on vacation! Thank you!!!!!

What a pleasure to have met Darby! She was so kind, gentle and welcoming to my anxious dog, who seemed completely relaxed after their first meeting — a huge compliment to Darby!

Melina seemed to be great with Milo. We were glad to see our dog happy and relaxed when we picked them up from their stay. It's clear they were comfortable. While we were pleased with how well our dog seemed, we would have appreciated more consistent updates or communication during his time with her since it was a one time thing. But overall we are happy with our experience.

Quick responses, caring and attentive to my pup, and truly wonderful people! I’m excited to use them again soon!

Cali usually is uncomfortable with new people and I always dread leaving her, but whatever Kirsten is doing it works. Cali is actually excited to go to daycare and that is a load off of me! Thank you, Kirsten and Rover!
