About: I've had different kinds of pets since I was 8. I have taken care of rabbits, cats, dogs, fish, and turtles. I always have a thing when it comes to animals, I really enjoy their presence. I'm very playful with animals and I always make sure that the animals I take care of are comfortable and happy being around me. I am currently a full time student. If you need me on weekdays please let me know because I have different schedules each day. Notes: I am pretty much available for the summer! My apartment is pet friendly. There's a big field next to my apartment. There is a lot of puppies in my neighborhood so your dog won't ever get lonely. There's also dog waste bags everywhere near my apartment, so your dog can potty anywhere. For cats, I have cat toys in my apartment because I have 2 cats but they currently live at my parents house, for potty I might have to buy the sand or if you could provide one that would be awesome!

About: I completed the Dog Walking Academy in November 2018, provided by TipTopTails Training in Kalamazoo. Also completed Pet Tech CPR, First Aid and Care in November 2018. Having recently retired from WMU, I am looking forward to spending time with your dog(s) or cat(s) and earning some extra income. I have been a dog owner all of my life, my husband and I currently have one American Staffordshire Terrier rescue named Mazzie who is three years old. I am available to come to your home to visit with and care for your pets, I am not able to house your animals at my home during the day or overnight. Eventually, these services may also be available. I have experience with dogs who need daily medications (insulin, seizure meds) or those with chronic issues. I am available to care for your pet(s) in your home while you are away for the day or on vacation. I am retired from WMU and have fairly open days and evenings. I am not able to do overnights at this time. I have had many dogs and right now we have adopted a new rescue dog, a Staffordshire terrier who is about 3 years old. For that reason, I do not bring your animals to my home, I come to you.

About: I am a retired high school counselor who loves animals. I’m married, no children, but have two beautiful Maine Coons, Luke and Scout. I have time to help others take care of their dogs and/or cats. I am the biggest animal lover you will ever meet! I can care for your pets when you’re away and give them the care and attention they deserve. Whatever they need while you’re away, just let me know. I’m happy to help! I will feed your pets and make sure they have clean water. If you’re gone for a while, I can play with the cats or take the dogs for walks. In my own home, my cats free feed wet and dry food. They also have a water fountain and get bottled water only. They have tons of toys, many of which are interactive. They get their nails trimmed once a week and combed daily.

About: I have had the opportunity to bring peace of mind to dozens of loving pet parents over the last 4 years. I have watched pets during housesits, in my own home, and sometimes just for a walk! I have taken care of many senior dogs and have the experience required to provide them with proper love and care. I’m currently back in Kalamazoo ! I’m very excited to navigate the pet community here and meet new pet families in need of experienced care. I prefer housesitting, but I will be available for regular check-ins. I am very flexible and receptive to whatever style of care you find suitable for your pet! I have had multiple experiences with plant sitting, pet sitting, house sitting, and I work well in new situations. A lot of empathy goes a long way, and that is something I always keep in mind as I work.
17. Barb C.

About: I’ve been pet-sitting since I was sixteen years old looking after our neighbor’s beloved poodle. All through college, I had repeat customers asking me to walk and look after their dogs. I have experience with large, energetic lab puppies and small, nervous terriers. I also have experience with guinea pigs (I had two for many years and have pet-sat for guinea pigs) and cats (I’ve looked after cats and have two of my own)! I have weekends free and will be working part-time, which means I’ll have plenty of time to look in on your furry friends! So long as I have enough time in advance, I’m willing to work with you to ensure that your loved one has all the care they need! Your pet’s safety and security is my top priority! I will not take dogs anywhere unleashed. Both of my cats are indoor cats, so if yours are the same, I know how to make sure your feline stays inside! Both of my cats are up to date on all vaccinations as well as Frontline flea/tick/worm prevention.
