I love getting to know each animal and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their family is away. I treat every pet in my care the way I would want someone to treat my own dogs—with patience, affection, attention, and lots of love. Whether your pup wants to play, go for a walk, cuddle on the couch, or simply have someone nearby, I’m happy to meet them where they are. 🐾❤️ I work as a school psychologist in the local public school system, so I have weekends, evenings, and school breaks off. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets and give them the attention they deserve. About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. I would pet proof home ensure no medications or cleaning products, etc are accessible to pets. Also, I would only feed what the owner wanted the pet to be fed.

She came over Wednesday for a meet-and-greet to get to know our dogs and our home, which immediately put us at ease. She was punctual, professional, friendly, and absolutely amazing with our dogs. We felt completely comfortable trusting her in our home. Her communication was excellent — she sent daily text updates with photos, which we appreciated so much. It was clear she didn’t just feed and care for our dogs, but genuinely loved on them with cuddles, playtime, and throwing the ball outside. Our dogs were happy, and we could truly tell they were well cared for. On top of that, Tara went above and beyond in caring for our home. She brought in packages, stripped the guest bed and started the laundry, washed and put away dishes, and left the house spotless. I was very worried about Maggie in particular because she has separation anxiety and doesn’t warm up to strangers. When Elizabeth saw that Maggie wouldn’t eat whatsoever, she went to the store and bought some food that helped with her appetite. She even took Milo to the vet since nobody else could take him and began administering his meds. I struck gold with Elizabeth who went above and beyond to gain their trust and take care of them.
