About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. I would pet proof home ensure no medications or cleaning products, etc are accessible to pets. Also, I would only feed what the owner wanted the pet to be fed.

I grew up with cats and a dog but once I got married my husband was allergic to cats so I never got to own my own cat. But I foster dogs on the side! I don’t work with any agencies, I just help certain life or death situations or senior pups who were denied proper care. I currently own 7 dogs ranging from all ages puppy to senior. I also own what most people call “difficult” breeds Akitas, Shibas, huskies, German Shepherds, Pomeranians, and Samoyed! I have a few puppies in training at my house and would love to share my knowledge of dogs with others! If you have training questions I’d love to help you and get you on the right track! I can’t wait to meet your pup! I’m currently working full time but I get off at 3-4pm each day and I am off Saturday and Sunday.
