About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. I would pet proof home ensure no medications or cleaning products, etc are accessible to pets. Also, I would only feed what the owner wanted the pet to be fed.

“Gretchen and Marc are the best! They completely put our anxious mama hearts at ease anytime we have to leave our sweet girl, Harper. They are professional, friendly, compassionate, and truly go above and beyond to care for your fur baby like their own. Gretchen was so patient with me as I talked through every little detail about feeding routines, rituals, and all the ways we love on our girl. She made me feel so comfortable from the start. We also loved the daily photo updates, although honestly, we felt so at ease knowing Harper was in such good hands either way. We already have another stay booked with them, this time for 11 days while we’re on our honeymoon, and we feel completely confident leaving Harper with them. She may not even want to come home after spending that much time running around their big, beautiful backyard chasing squirrels!”
