About: I've always loved our furry friends: wether sheltering strays for a few days, pet sitting for neighbors, or volunteering at my local shelter I learned each animal has their own personality and temperament but all require some basic needs, like water, food, exercise, mental stimulation, and ofc love! Beyond the practical knowledge of walking, feeding, training, and playing with animals I've also had a personal fascination into the minds of animals (LOVE watching dog training videos and reading up on Donna Haraway). When I mean I love pets and want to make sure they'll have a good time, I mean it! I’ve say both cats and dogs from days to months, small to large, shy to outgoing. Finding a pets strength and weakness takes time and it is prominent that the caretaker ensure proper, sustainable care for your babies. I have not worked with many animals but I assure that over time I will become a great friend to your furry best friend. My flexibility is fully open currently. Finding a full time position with your pet is very important. Growing and learning your furry friends is most important to me. My two dogs Lokey and Sky are usually independent when it comes to what they need and when it is needed. Potty breaks are usually every 2 to 4 hours, as well as outside play time. We usually stay out for 15 to 30 minutes. Walks are solely for my pets. I allow them to sniff, play and take breaks when needed. Evenings are usually the best times for a walk, it’s not too cool nor hot, it’s just right.

About: Hi! I’m Alyssa and I grew up with all the pets, which were mostly cats and medium-to-large dogs (a golden retriever, a mut, a doodle, a husky!). I also fostered 6 month+ old kittens for 2.5 years in college (15 total, and I only kept 5!). For my day job I teach preschool art. I have four cats myself whom I love very much! I am happy to come spend time with your fur babies and am able to walk and house sit part-time. I’m available afternoons and overnight (3 p.m. - 7 a.m.). I have four senior cats that all require special diets. Two and two are separated. One cat is medicated (not contagious/ kidney-related ). They all get fed (and the one medicated) twice a day.
