Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. In my home or a client’s home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment, closely supervise pets, follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, and provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. As the owner of a reactive dog, I understand the importance of reading body language, respecting boundaries, and creating a calm, low-stress environment tailored to each pet’s needs.

“Our pup had such an amazing time with Julie and her family! From the moment we arrived, Chiko felt right at home and quickly became part of the family. He loved playing with their two doodles, Chase and Rusty, and even got to meet their goats, pigs, chickens, and play with their kiddos. Their fully fenced yard (many acres) was perfect for safe playtime and gave us extra peace of mind. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. She took the time to learn how to communicate with him, which gave us such reassurance. We loved the adorable photo updates throughout his stay, and when we picked him up, he was one happy (and tired!) pup who fell right asleep as soon as we got home. We’ve used one other person and koda came back peeing EVERYWHERE which told us he wasn’t payed attention to with his potty schedule but with Amy koda comes back and is just as well trained as he was before. She sent us daily pictures and videos and even FaceTimed us, which gave us so much peace of mind. Her daughter was also super friendly and loved playing with Archie. He was clearly very comfortable with them—he even slept with them on the bed and couch and got lots of rubs and cuddles. 🥰 Overall, Archie had a wonderful stay, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands.
