About: With over 40 years of caring for pets, I bring not only a lifelong love for animals but also knowledge and intuition from decades of hands-on experience. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I work from home. This allows me the flexibility to give pets the attention they need throughout the day- whether that’s feeding, walking, playtime, or simply being present to provide comfort and companionship. My schedule makes it easy to adapt to each pet's routine and ensure they're well cared for at all times. In my home, pets have a safe and comfortable environment to enjoy. I have a fenced yard, which allows them space to play and exercise securely. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and affection, along with a routine that includes feeding, walks, and playtime.

“My weird cats and I adore Allie. I volunteered at a couple of shelters / rescues and truly have some quirky cats, but Allie acted like they were as normal as they come. She was not fazed by their individual eating preferences, oral meds, and sometimes cranky attitudes. Allie also sent daily updates with photos and I have not felt this at ease traveling in a very long time. I'm sure Allie is excellent with dogs, but if you are looking for someone who is amazing with cats, this is your sitter!”

“Barb is the greatest and the best! We are always happy when she has an opening for us. The dog is calm and relaxed, and we get to see the walks she took while we were gone! Barb is flexible and patient with the dog and with us. Thanks, Barb!”

“We are so grateful that Sarah could do a couple drop-in visits on such short notice. Sarah is great with Marbles and making sure he gets what he needs. Thanks again for all your help!”
“Harrison watched my puppy over the course of 3 drop ins. He communicated every step of the way and went above and beyond to make sure my Rikku was okay. He responded to all my requests and was extremely helpful. I plan to book him again in the near future.”

“Amber is the best pet sitter! She is extremely reliable and responsible. I know I can trust her with my 3 cats and dog and she treats them like her own. She even took my cat to the emergency vet when he ate something he shouldn’t have and waited for 2 hours until I was able to get there. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Daniel was great with our senior cat who is a little quirky and needs meds twice per day. He was communicative, responsive, and sent plenty of photos. Would highly recommend for any pet care needs!”

“After my roommate mistakenly locked the doors, Victoria went above and beyond by climbing through a window in order to feed and take my pup out while I was away on vacation. Taz got along well with her during a meet and he was his typical goofy self in the pictures she sent. Def will be requesting her again!”

Allie was amazing with our 9 year old dog!!! We always get a little nervous having a new sitter watch our 95 lbs American bulldog mix since he can be a handful at times, but once they met we knew he’d be in good hands. Allie was communicative, gave lots of photos and updates, and followed our instructions with ease!! Will definitely be reaching out again for future visits :)

Courtney is excellent with our two geriatric, special needs dogs. She is very reliable and dependable and a pleasure to work with. Her level of care is outstanding and her communication is top notch. We will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her services.

This was the third time Matthew has cared for Toby, Twix, Tilly, and Tessi, and it was also the longest period I have ever been away from them. Each time, he consistently demonstrates genuine care, patience, and professionalism in handling my dogs and their individual needs. Toby is a special needs dog who requires a belly band, regular cleaning routines, skin care treatments, and close monitoring. In addition, right before my trip, Twix developed ulcers that required medications and eye drops, and Matthew managed his treatments carefully and patiently, even when administering them was difficult. Caring for four dogs is already demanding, but my situation is especially complex. My boys must remain separated due to fighting, the girls can be destructive with bedding, and accidents can happen. Finding someone willing and capable of managing these responsibilities has always been a major concern for me, especially when trying to travel to visit my fiancé. One of the things I appreciate most is the level of communication Matthew provides throughout the stay. He consistently sends updates and photos, and he is very attentive about voicing any concerns regarding my dogs’ health or behavior. That level of detail and attentiveness gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away and reassured me that my dogs were being carefully monitored and genuinely cared for. Matthew has given me complete confidence and peace of mind every time he watches my dogs. I am incredibly grateful for the compassion, reliability, and dedication he provides, and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking attentive and trustworthy pet care.

Deresha is great! Feel like I got lucky with her being available. She knows her way around dogs of all breeds and can handle any type trouble your dog may give some one. Trusted her more and more as time went on. You won’t regret hiring Deresha to take care of your little ones, she’s great and is even willing to meet you before you need services to make sure she’s a good fit for your mascots. Deresha is the best!

Amanda was extremely conscientious and responsible taking care of my energetic dog while I was away! I could see how happy Oreo was to spend time with her with both walks and lots of cuddles from the great photos she took. Plus, Amanda really took the time pre-visit to make sure she understood Oreo's diet and personality. All round a great experience -- thank you!
I had the most lovely experience using Chelsea to take care of my senior girl! Chelsea is the sweetest and kindest Rover person I've ever used. She followed my lengthy instructions and took such great care of my Bella. No surprise she has a Star rating! I'll definitely be using her again!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
