“Dan took excellent care of our dog, walking him daily when I could not walk him due to my surgery and during our vacation. Dan is observant to any changes in our dog’s behavior and mood and is thorough in communicating that information following the walks. We are very fortunate to have Dan’s reliable services!”

“My dog was a little shy at first, but they took the time for him to warm up so her could get a walk in! I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the patience and great communication :)”

“Jess is great with our dogs! We have two VERY nervous dogs, that take time to adjust to new people. Jess was willing to come over and meet our dogs multiple times so they were comfortable with her entering our home when we weren't there. She takes great care of them. I feel at ease while at work, knowing she's coming over to love them up and take them for a walk.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life. Growing up I spent many years on my aunt’s farm helping her raise kittens, dogs, pigs, and horses. I have two kitties and would do anything for them. I’ve taken care of two elderly cats and an elderly dog, trying to give them the best end of life care I can. I’ve helped give them medications and cleaned up so many accidents. I’ve pet sit my friend’s dogs my entire adult life. I want to make sure they get good enrichment time while their owners are away. I know I can’t fill the void, but I just want them to be happy. I’m self-employed so I make my own schedule. I’m very flexible, so any day of the week is open for me to make sure the pets are happy. I have two indoor only cats. I don’t like letting them outside. I frequently check on my friend’s two dogs so I’m very used to dropping by to take care of them. I let them out into his fully fenced yard and take care of whatever they need like feeding, refilling water, and accident cleanup (if necessary).

“Charlene is lovely! She was available at the last minute, super pleasant and positive, and made Olive feel comfortable immediately! I will definitely call her to walk Olive again soon!:)”

“The fact that rover limits a tip to only 15% is truly a disservice because Jessica deserves a lot more. I had a last minute flight cancelation and she saved the day within the hour. I won’t ever use anyone else but her. She is the BEST 11/10. If your pup needs someone, you won’t regret her.”

About: Hi! My Name is Sam I’ve had pets my entire life and for the last four years, I’ve started caring for others I recently just joined Rover and am excited to be able to help care for more animals while their families are away. I have experience caring for puppies, dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. Growing up, I had a Pitbull, German Shepherd, and a Chihuahua. I also grew up with a cat that had special needs and rescued a litter of kittens and provided all necessary medical care to the four kittens to ensure they were healthy and able to be adopted to great homes. From pet sitting, long or short walks, and boarding I’ve got experience with it all! My goal is to make sure your animal enjoys their stay away from home and is as comfortable as possible. I will maintain any schedules you have for your pet, administer medications if needed, and of course give your pet extra love and attention during your time away. Your pet will get lots of walks, cuddles, and attention. They have free range of the home unless requested from pet owners we do not crate any pets in our care, and we work from home your pet will never be alone! Daycare drop off and pickup hours are between 6 am and 7 pm. Any time after 7 pm would need to be booked as boarding and pickup for the following morning. I offer extended stays as well.

“Not only is Lindee wonderful with my dog. but she is also incredibly accommodating! I have had a crazy work schedule recently and have needed to make numerous last minute changes to scheduled visits- Lindee always goes out of her way to be there for my dog and me!”

About: Hi my name is Janet. I have over 10 years of experience in taking care of animals. I have always been a huge animal lover and have revolved my world around animals. I am fully trained on animal cpr and first aid as well as medicating animals including insulin injections as well! *must be a stable diabetic* I will always monitor your pets to make sure they are eating, drinking water and going potty while in my care. I accept pets of all temperaments and always fully respect the animal in my care. I work at their comfort level to ensure they stay as safe and stress free as possible. I have lots of experience with handling dog reactive dogs as well as stranger danger animals. I have also given all types of different diets to animals so no diet is too complicated or gross for me! I know that every pet is completely different and all have different personalities and I promise to always do what’s best for your pet in my care even if that means staying out of their personal bubble if they prefer space over affection. I also have pet safe transportation and can take your dog on adventures to local parks and trails! I also will send daily photo updates if you would like them while they are in my care! I currently manage a doggy daycare/boarding facility in scottsville. I either work 6a-2p or 12p-8p there. I can easily leave mid shift on my lunch breaks to check in on your pet if those shifts are too long to leave your pet alone for! I also used to do overnights so if you work nights and want to keep your pet company while your at work no time is too late for me!! I can either take care of your pet in your own home or at my home! My house has a fully fenced in yard that is escape proof (my own three dogs helped me make it escape proof) as well as your pets own area that is separate from my own pets that they can safely rest and relax. I have crates available if your pet prefers to be in one when left alone but the room is also pet safe enough where they can be left out to safely roam. They will always have access to clean water and food (based on what their feeding is)

About: Ever since I was a little kid, I was always surrounded by dogs. I grew up with almost 8 dogs in the household at a time, 6 dachshunds, a chihuahua, and a Pomeranian. Growing up, my parents would breed our dachshunds and sell the puppies, so I was always surrounded by puppies as little as 1 day old to about 6 weeks, and I learned how to properly care for them. Growing up, I also had neighbors who had two Newfoundlands that I was around a lot of the time as I hung out with their kids. I've dog sit for my boyfriend's parents who at the time had two older medium sized dogs that I would go to their house about 3 times a day to feed them, make sure they had water, and let them go outside. I've also dogsit and catsit for my boyfriend's uncle, who had a mastiff mix and two indoor/outdoor cats. Personally, I have two cats of my own, one that is 3 legged as well so I have experience with animals with disabilities. I would love to have a dog but unfortunately I live in an apartment that does not allow dogs at the moment while I go to college to study education. Overall, I'm just a nice college student that wants to create safe, positive atmospheres for people and their beloved pets! :) My cashapp is $k3ngyy for tips or for me to buy toys, treats, outfits, accessories, anything for your pet!! I'm currently working part-time at Corning Community College where I create my own schedule. Being a college student, I have a forever changing schedule so my time can be limited, but I will always let you know what my schedule is like before a booking. I also have my own car so transportation will never be an issue :) With my cats, they are both indoor cats provided with a cat water fountain and both wet and dry food. I take what I'm told to do very seriously as everyone has different ways that they want to take care of their pets! I have no problem with special requests, providing toys or treats, or taking care of a little box or picking up after your dog on walks :) My cat, Rosie, last year suffered from Anemia, so for three months, I had to carefully take care of her while giving her medicine from a syringe in her mouth about 3 times a day. So I understand the hard parts that can come with pet care, and that it is not always fun and games!! I want to provide the safest environment I possibly can with my experiences and positive outlook at animals! :)

“Frank was on time and very professional. His service was great 👍 my dog Sparky was so happy when he got back home from his walk . All I got to say to Sparky is Franks name and he runs to the door. 🤣 Frank is a awesome person and very professional !!!!!”

About: My job in my teens was dog-sitting before my family got our own puppies in my late teens. I raised them from the ground up including house braking, feeding, positive affirmation training, cleaning after them, and kenneling. Now I have moved out from my parents but I still need dogs in my life so here I am. I live off disability so I don't have much for consistent schedules. I'd say I average 3 afternoon appointments a week. I also do musicals which rehearsals are usually Tuesday and Thursday nights. Other than that my usual week is pretty open. When I was a kid in charge of my parents' dogs at their house I would just bring them to my bedroom in the house where they would hang out on the bed all night while I play my games (They were chuawiener dogs so very small). After moving out the puppy sitting became them coming to my house where I would spend most of the day in the living room where they can rest with me on the couch and have more room for playtime. End of the day they would come to my room where I had a doggy bed for them to lie down on my desk while I played.

“I got way more than I had ever hoped for when I chose Janet to walk my dog, Derrick. Not only did he come back exhausted for a good long walk, but he was also starting to walk better for me! I felt reassured that Janet would be a good fit for me and Derrick, as she has three dogs of her own of different size and activity levels. I knew that she would be able to handle anything that Derrick might throw at her. I recommend Janet to all my friends, family and neighbors for their dogs as well.”
