“Paige did a great job with the house and 3 dogs for a week long assignment. I especially appreciated that she took out the trash and started the dishwasher before she left! I would recommend Paige to anyone needing someone to housesit with their dogs. Thanks Paige!”

“Jade was very eager and responsive. She kept us informed with photos and updates. The house looked amazing when we returned and she even drew a cute little cartoon of our pups! We've already booked her for a second visit.”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

“Melissa had great communication and took great care of our Labradoodle and Beagle. The weather was nice so our beagle was in and out constantly. Beagle shenanigans! We will definitely use Melissa again. I couldn’t provide additional feedback since it was grayed out but house was as we left it with no issues. Thank you, Melissa!”

“Cynthia was wonderful with our animals and home. We received lots of daily pictures, and everyone got lots of love. So grateful that we could relax while out of town, knowing all was well.”

“Haley was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of Enzo, Echo, Max, and Zach while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept us updated, treated our pets like they were her own, and gave us complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and it was obvious they were comfortable with her. Haley is reliable, caring, and professional, and we would not hesitate to book her again. We highly recommend Haley to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of our crew!”

“We are a repeat customer for Ginger. Ginger has a love of animals and especially our 80 pound Doodle, Lupin! We can always count on her taking excellent care of Lupin and our home when we are away. Everything is always perfect when we get back home. Looking forward to our next trip in which we will again be using Ginger! Thank YOU!”

“Greta was wonderful. Our pup is low maintenance, he just requires someone to be around often. She was great with him and followed all his instructions. It's great knowing your pup is safe and happy while away.”

“Tea took great care of my fur-babies for 11 days and nights!!! My dog seemed quite content, happy, and healthy upon my return. Additionally, she took great care of my home. I was able to come back from my vacation with no messes or untidy spaces. I appreciated the updates and would love more videos/photos when Tea's back for future visits!”

“Bryant is a star house sitter! He's good with my dogs when I observe them together, and I know he's like that when I'm gone. I was 2,000 miles away, when Bryant notified my dogs were ill. He didn't hesitate to promptly call and take them to my vet. He kept me updated. My dogs are basically fine now. I hope to Use Bryant agaìǰ̣”

“Billie went above and beyond while dog sitting at our apartment for 4 days! She helped with our dogs separation anxiety, gave helpful tips on training and things to help him, and kept us up to date on everything going on while we were away. She is very knowledgeable and eased our nerves about leaving our dog for the first time. Also very clean and apartment friends had great reviews about her too! Would definitely recommend and hope to book again when needed!”

About: I’ve worked at Banfield pet hospital in different states, expanding my knowledge of different species from different regions. My grandmother owned a grooming business when I was a little rascal, which allowed me to be around fluffy friends all day. I work a typical day shift so my home is up and active by 6:30am every weekday and we’re on a walk before I head off to work. Evenings consist of walks before and after dinner. I allow animals to roam home as a part of their natural curiosity. I’ll have very deep conversations with my furry friends because I know for a fact they understand me, just as I do them. I enjoy walking around the neighborhood and, on average, I bike 10 miles a day to stay in top shape.
“Grace immediately bonded with Quinn. Not only was she attentive to him, but she communicated regularly, took lots of pictures, offered to do laundry, and even changed the bedding before she left. Grace was approached by my next-door neighbor, a condo president (who frequently misunderstands his purview), in a verbally aggressive way. She handled herself admirably and made it clear she would not leave Quinn. I would book Grace again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. Neighbors always looked to me as a trustworthy caretaker. Even when I moved to a new state on my own, I was able to build a consistent clientele that could always count on me. I worked at a dog daycare/boarding center for 3 years, became certified to groom dogs, done baths, nails, walks, and stayed at people’s homes (including boats)! I am currently working on training my own dog. I begin my work day early in the morning and am done by 11:30am or 1pm, which leaves lots of time to care for your pet! My days off are Friday/Saturday and only work for 3 hours Sunday morning. I cannot take in your pet at my home, as I have my own furry friend who strongly values his personal space. At your home, I can do whatever is needed!
About: Hi, I'm Raina! I love caring for dogs and cats and have years of experience, including with my late dog Coco, who lived to 15. I offer pet sitting at my home with a secure, fenced-in backyard, ensuring a safe and fun environment. I take animal care seriously, providing consistent, loving, and responsible attention, including any needed medical care. You can trust that your pets will receive the same love and protection I gave to Coco, with plenty of photo updates to keep you connected. I look forward to caring for your furry family members! I am usually working from home so I will be available to care for your pets. I am available for boarding on weekends and weekdays. I have a fenced yard and a friendly cat to keep your pet company. I ensure top-notch care by carefully boarding pets that I believe will do well in my house. To provide the best experience, I would need to know your pet's daily routines, medication requirements, and any other special needs.
“She was simply great! We have 2 fluffy huskies and one is diabetic, which means that has a VERY rigid and strict schedule and also requires injections. Taylor was on point with updates via texts and followed every single direction we have her. Absolutely amazing job! We'll be coming back to her 100%”

“Brittney took care of our frenchie for a whole week. It was our first time leaving our rescue alone so our worries were high initially but her communication was great and our dog took to her well. She followed our dog guide, sent plenty of pictures and ensured vinci was comfortable while we were away. We came back to our house even cleaner than we left it alongside a kind note. Would highly recommend Brittney!”

cannot recommend Savory highly enough. When my beloved cat, Ezekiel was sick & needed dedicated in-home care while I was away for work, Savory stepped in. From the very first meeting, Savory showed genuine care. She communicate accordingly and lets me know when Ezekiel eats , fills up his diaper or anything cute

Absolutely amazing experience! She took the best care of my dogs! She treated them like her very own! She took great care of my house and even washed my towels. I’ll most definitely be using her service again. My dogs loved her! ❤️ I can’t thank her enough for putting my mind at ease while I was gone.

The first time Aaliyah met my dogs they instantly took to her. I confirmed my booking with her immediately because I could tell how comfortable they were with her already. She took great care of my house and I was sent multiple pictures a day which put my mind at ease. Even in the snow, she took my energetic girl out to play ball. Although Aaliyah had to cancel part of her stay I was able to make everything work and I appreciate the time she was able to spend with them. I would recommend her to anyone and I will be rebooking with her in the future.

FAQs for House Sitting - Champ
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Champ on Rover is $53.28 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,710 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Champ. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Champ walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Champ maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Champ choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Champ. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
