I have a dog of my own and love spending time with him and playing or going for a walk I am currently a babysitter and clean houses so my schedule is flexible to pop in during the day to spend time with pets , feed and walk them and then return at night to spend the night if needed ! “Wow. We hired Christina to care for our 135lb Bernese Mountain Dog, Otis, while we vacationed in Westhampton for a week. And what a godsend to have found her! Amazing with Otis, incredibly flexible in terms of hours and availability, and just such a wonderful, genuinely caring sitter and person. Otis is just a year old, never been apart from us, and so it was critical that he feel comfortable and be well cared for while we took time away for daily lunches and dinners. Each day, when Christina arrived, Otis went nuts. It was just so clear how much he liked her and looked forward to his time with her. And, of course, she sent regular updates, including photos, so we were always in the loop and reassured about how he was doing. Our whole family, including both our kids, were sad for the vacation to end, in part because it meant not seeing Christina again! Really can't believe how fortunate we were to have connected with and hired her on Rover and, if we ever make our way back to Westhampton and need care for Otis, we'll definitely be hitting her up. About: I’ve been animal lover for as long as I can remember. From reptiles to puppies to birds I treat every animal with love and respect. Due to never having an ideal living situation to be caring pets, I’ve never had a pet of my own. However, I’ve always been surrounded by my friends, families, coworkers and neighbors pets. About: I am very used to large dogs since I have two at home. I know how to clean animals ears and clip nails. I also know how to administer oral medication. Im currently going to college to become a veterinarian so im looking for a little gig where i can take care of animals. About: Throughout my life, we've always had dogs in the house and, as I’ve gotten older, there was definitely a period where it seemed more like a zoo than a human household with all of our rescues. When I was in high school, I fell in love with training dogs and really never wanted to do anything else. Over the years, I’ve made every effort to immerse myself in the field through work at Petco and multiple daycares, as a volunteer at Kent Animal Shelter, as a student with the Animal Behavior College, becoming a CPDT, opening my own business, and tentatively dipping my toes into the grooming aspect of it all as well. Hopefully, as time goes on, I can continue to pursue my dog training career as a multifaceted professional and expand more fully into my own business. I run my own multifaceted pet services business offering a variety of options from training and boarding to walking and photography, so my whole day circulates around pet-related bookings and activities. I live on half an acre of land with a fully fenced in yard, separate attached dog run, and plenty of space to run! We do a perimeter check twice daily to make sure the fencing is secure and the grounds are meeting our standards of cleanliness. I can easily crate dogs if that’s what their paw-rents request, but also have no problem allowing them to roam through the house if that’s what they’re accustomed to. I do have a few pups of my own, but they’re the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet — one is actually a quadriplegic! Everyone is in their own space while eating and stay separated for about an hour following meals to allow food to digest. Let me know if there are any other accommodations your pet needs!

About: I created this account while looking for a drop in caretaker for my own pup. Since, I have started working from home and changed my account to become a sitter. I have loved being able to help someone else in need of the same services I was seeking and provide a trustworthy caretaker for their pup. About: I don't just walk dogs and drop in to take care of a cat. I take the time to play with them and keep them company so they don't feel alone while the person they love the most is not around for the brief moment. I am an independent Contractor who works with Autistic Adults. I create my own work schedule so I am flexible and available to take care of your fur baby. When coming into your home, I will slowly open the door but not all the way. I wouldn't want to chance a fur baby running away. If it's a dog, I will wait by the front door and allow your dog to approach and sniff me. We can take as long as needed so your puppy feels ok with me. If it's a cat, I will go searching and slowly approach with my hand extended so they can sniff me and see Im harmless. I am all about making my time with them as least stressful as possible. And of course if they want to play a bit, I'm all for it.😁
