“Amanda was great with our kitties while we were away on vacation! She sent lots of updates with photos/videos and was very respectful of our space. Amanda went above and beyond during meal times as our kitties need to be separated and can be picky eaters. I would highly recommend Amanda for any of your pet care needs!”

“Trisha graciously watched my 2 older dogs at the last minute in my home. She was an amazing houseguest, and was incredible with my visually impaired dog who requires various daily medications. My other grumpy dog took to Trisha immediately, which is remarkable as he can be stingy with his affection. Thank you Trisha and we all look forward to seeing you again soon.❤️”

“James was incredible with my spoiled weimaraner. He followed the routine my dog needs perfectly, was very professional, super reliable, and left my apartment clean after his stay. I would highly recommend!”

“Amber took great care of my dog Mocha. He gets very nervous when alone. She gave him plenty of attention and play time. Sent us pictures and kept me updated on how he was eating. I felt very comfortable letting her stay in our home. Will definitely be calling her again. Thanks Carol & Mocha”

“Christi is an unbelievable person and a perfect fit for out 2 Labs. They hit it off right away and our girls fell in love with her. They are 8 years old and have never been alone at night. We did not need to be concerned because they were so good together! They even slept together with her in the bed! She had to give them a few supplements that we add to our food and Christi remembered the correct supplements for each dog from our weeks earlier conversation. Highly recommend, just not when we need her. LOL”

About: Hi there! I’m Madison, a lifelong dog lover with 16+ years of hands-on experience. I’ve grown up with dogs and now have two pups of my own, so I’m very familiar with all types of routines, personalities, and needs. I’ve also had plenty of experience with dog boarding, doggy day care, and overnight care, although those services are currently on hold. I work from about 7 AM to 2 PM, which means I’m home early in the afternoon for walks, cuddles, and check-ins. I’m also fully available during holidays. I’m patient, responsible, and always make sure your dog feels loved, calm, and comfortable. Whether your pup is energetic or mellow, I’m here to meet their needs and keep their tail wagging! My daily schedule actually works well for pet care. I’m out early in the morning and home by early afternoon, which gives me the rest of the day for visits, walks, and attention. I plan my errands and personal tasks around my bookings, so your pet always has a predictable routine. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I focus on keeping your pet’s normal routine steady and stress-free. I follow all of your instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, meds, and house rules so your pet stays comfortable in their own environment. During each visit, I make sure they get attention, playtime, and whatever level of activity they’re used to. While house sitting, I maintain a calm, respectful presence in your home, keep things tidy, and make sure your pet has company and supervision throughout the day. I’m big on communication, so you can expect updates and photos each time I’m with your pet. For dog walking, I tailor the walk to your dog’s pace and energy level. Whether they love long sniffy walks or a quicker bathroom break, I make sure they get safe, structured exercise and return home settled and happy.

About: I grew up with a Doberman and a cat. Now, I take care of friends’ dogs, when I’m not running an office. Currently, my mom puppy trains guide dogs so I’m learning even more about dog training, these days. For house sitting, my availability is open this summer. For dog walking I can do that during my lunch, if you’re within 5-10 minutes of Patchogue. I can walk, run, and/or play with your dog. I’m a runner and hiker. I would ensure that I carry out your routines and can crate the dog if necessary.

About: Hi! I’m Jo, and I specialize in caring for small dogs who are used to being someone’s whole world. After struggling to find a sitter who truly only takes one dog at a time, I decided to become the kind of sitter I was searching for. I know how hard it is to leave your little one with someone else. Small dogs aren’t just pets — they’re shadows, cuddle buddies, emotional support systems, and family. They thrive on attention, routine, and feeling safe. That’s exactly what I provide. If the thought of your small dog feeling scared or lost among a pack worries you, you’ve found the safe place you’ve been looking for I work from home so will be able to give full attention. I understand small dog energy — from clingy Velcro pups to sassy little bosses. I’m patient, attentive, and very tuned in to their comfort and routines. Right now, caring for my own small dog is part of my everyday life. I follow a consistent routine with regular walks, feeding times, play sessions, and lots of affection throughout the day. I make sure my dog gets enough exercise but also has quiet time to rest, especially after walks or play. I’m very attentive to their behavior and mood, so I can quickly notice if something seems off.

Shirley pet parents share their Rover experiences
Emma was amazing. She took the time to make sure Jack felt completely comfortable with her so they could enjoy a great evening together. He can be a little anxious around people, but he warmed up to her right away. She naturally gives off an animal lover’s energy that both pets and humans can sense. She asks thoughtful questions to ensure she’s following your dog’s care instructions closely and even sends pictures to keep you reassured throughout the experience. We are so thankful we found her here.
