Once Florence takes on a responsibility, she is almost obsessive about carrying it out. She also has gone out of her way to rescue kittens and turtles - I once had to drive a dozen miles out of my way because we passed a turtle in the middle of the road and took it to a rescue group on the North Fork. I have also trusted her to come to my home and feed my dogs and cats when I was out of town, a duty she never ignored.
