About: I grew up in a house with dogs. We always had at least two and sometimes three dogs. We bred corgis and standard poodles and I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages. I also own three cats and take care of an outdoor feral. I'm comfortable medicating dogs, cats, and even reptiles. (I can feed reptiles as well, I'm not worried about bugs :) I currently work from home so I'm free most afternoons and evenings and would love to use some of the spare time I have to take care of dogs and cats. I have experience caring for pets in their home and would be happy to let your dog out in the backyard for playtime or take them on a walk around the block. If you need them crated after, I can do that too.

They would get a lot of attention and exercise. And I would do my research on the breed of dog before taking on the job so I know what the breed of dog needs and how they act. “Wow. We hired Christina to care for our 135lb Bernese Mountain Dog, Otis, while we vacationed in Westhampton for a week. And what a godsend to have found her! Amazing with Otis, incredibly flexible in terms of hours and availability, and just such a wonderful, genuinely caring sitter and person. Otis is just a year old, never been apart from us, and so it was critical that he feel comfortable and be well cared for while we took time away for daily lunches and dinners. Each day, when Christina arrived, Otis went nuts. It was just so clear how much he liked her and looked forward to his time with her. And, of course, she sent regular updates, including photos, so we were always in the loop and reassured about how he was doing. I have a job but I make my own schedule, so any dogs I have receive full attention. I can come in and out of my home all day if necessary. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have rescued and cared for several over the years. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, anxious dogs, and pets with medical needs, including administering oral medications and injections. My wife is a great support and shares the same passion for animals. She’s a marine biologist and she's worked in animal hospitals, farms, and wildlife rehabilitation centers, adding another layer of knowledge and experience to the care we provide. I believe every dog is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality, routine, preferences, and any special needs to help them feel comfortable and at home. I’m an Athletic Trainer and have Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. My wife has a flexible work schedule and is home most of the time. Between the two of us, someone is almost always home, so dogs are rarely left alone for more than two hours. Because I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time, each guest receives plenty of individualized attention, playtime, affection, and care throughout the day. My home is quiet, fully fenced, and designed to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. There are no children or resident pets, allowing me to provide a calm environment and plenty of one-on-one attention. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, have clean dog beds throughout the house, and can even sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to at home. I send daily photo and video updates, and you’re always welcome to message me anytime. Several veterinary hospitals and clinics are within a 5-minute drive if veterinary care is ever needed.
