About: I’ve worked at the Brooklyn zoo and aquarium in Brooklyn as a teen. Then worked my way to volunteering at my local animal shelter. I’ve always had a love for animals. Now I foster dogs and cats till they find their forever homes. Even family and friends ask me to watch their pets on occasion. I’ve done dog walking and boarding for many years now as well and I would love to continue to provide for animals rain or shine. I currently work from home so the most I leave for are some social events here and there or groceries. I have transportation if pick up and drop off is needs as well. I have a gated yard around my apartment. There grass and all the other animals in the building run around and use the property. I provide at least three walks/potty breaks a day, take time to train and reward. I’ve giving medication and baths on request as well.
About: When I was a kid I dreamed of getting a dog, but my brother's allergies meant that was out of the question. My solution to this was volunteering to walk my friends' dogs or offering to pet sit whenever I could. I put up flyers in my busy apartment building and started getting some steady clients, which quickly became one of my favorite after school activities. I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to work on a sanctuary that specialized in caring for animals with behavioral and special needs where I was really able to expand on my skills and put them to the test. My love for all animals drives me to provide the best care for every pet I meet. Caring for your beloved pets brings me joy and I would love to have the opportunity to help. My work schedule varies, but I'm typically available after 8am. I'll follow whatever routines you usually do at home to help make your fur babies feel at ease. However you typically care for them is how I'll try my best to go about it.

“Marika was always on time and communicative throughout this entire process. This is the first time I’ve used something like this and she made the experience easy. I was away, but my mother was here to stay with kennedy, and according to her experience, she said she came on time and really did take care of the dog during his walks. He would be very excited when he saw her through the window and ready to start his walk with her. And when he came back, he was tired a lot more calm than he’s been especially for being six months it was really impressive. She’s definitely someone I’m gonna reconsider hiring again if I need her for this type of situation. Also would like to point out that we loss his poop bag holder and she replaced it free of charge with one she had at home. Which she didn’t have to do. But I still appreciate so much.”

“I was very pleased with Daniel’s service! He was on time, reliable, and even available for a last-minute booking. He kept my dog’s routine exactly as I requested — walking, feeding, and cleaning up after him. My dog is usually very shy and has some anxiety around new people, but he warmed up to Daniel surprisingly fast. It was clear Daniel has a calm, caring approach that dogs respond well to. I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and trustworthy dog walker!”

About: Animal lover and bestie since before I could walk! My house growing up felt like a zoo with 10 cats, 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and my older brother's snake. All those personalities shaped my love for every animal! I’m currently in school full-time at the Fashion Institute of Technology! When I’m not in classes, my schedule is pretty clear to fill up with all the fur babies! For clients, I follow their detailed instructions regarding feeding schedules, medication, and any specific needs or routines. If they’re in my home, I have a separate room where I let the newcomer relax for a few hours before slowly introducing them to my friendliest animals first.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who enjoys spending quality time with pups of all sizes—though I do have a soft spot for the little ones! Long walks while listening to music and bonding with dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, which is why I take a gentle, kind-hearted approach—using soft touches, a calm voice, and plenty of patience to build trust and connection. Whether it's playtime, cuddle time, or a peaceful stroll, I'm here to make your pup feel right at home. I am currently working full-time, so I can only provide care on weekends. I am a teacher, so once the summer hits on June 28th I can care for pets all hours of the day! Safety and trust are always my top priorities—whether your dog is staying with me or I’m visiting them in their own home. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs so they feel at ease from the start. I create a calm, cozy environment by using soft tones, gentle touches, and lots of positive reinforcement. In my home, I make sure the space is safe, clean, and dog-friendly, with plenty of room to relax, play, or nap. I follow any feeding, medication, or exercise routines you provide to keep things consistent and comfortable. If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I give my own—keeping things tidy, sticking to your pup’s routine, and making sure they feel safe in their familiar surroundings.
“Juliana is wonderful ! We haven’t walked Dewy the last 2 days and totally forgot about the weather. I confirmed with Juliana then my husband reminded me it’s going to rain. She still came and took my boy to the dog park. The rain wouldn’t stop so I ask her to bring him back if the rain keeps on going. We can’t wait to see Juliana again in a nicer weather.”

Daniel is family now. Bodhi is a new fur baby and to say I’m overprotective is an understatement. Unfortunately, I had a horrible car accident shortly after I adopted him and needed help. Daniel was responsive to my requests, communicated effectively and did a meet and greet. His personality is warm and Bodhi felt at ease. He even brought his pup Shiloh. So happy to have him in my support system. I trust him with Bodhi and that’s priceless.

Angela has been helping with walking my 4 year old Sheltie. The dog became very comfortable and happy with Angela fairly quickly. Angela takes great care of my dog, keeps me updated, and always comes with so much positive energy! Gladly refer Angela to anyone looking for attentive and great care of their pets!

I can't thank Aniyah enough for taking such wonderful care of my pups while I was out of town! It gave me so much peace of mind to know they were in such kind, capable hands. The updates, photos, and attention to detail were all fantastic — it was clear my dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I came home to two very content (and well-exercised!) pups. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you!! 🐾

Caroline was absolutely great. Her love for animals was clear the minute we met her. She was on time and left detailed notes and pics of each walk. It was nice to know that our dog was in good hands while we were away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for dog care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
