“Marika was always on time and communicative throughout this entire process. This is the first time I’ve used something like this and she made the experience easy. I was away, but my mother was here to stay with kennedy, and according to her experience, she said she came on time and really did take care of the dog during his walks. He would be very excited when he saw her through the window and ready to start his walk with her. And when he came back, he was tired a lot more calm than he’s been especially for being six months it was really impressive. She’s definitely someone I’m gonna reconsider hiring again if I need her for this type of situation. Also would like to point out that we loss his poop bag holder and she replaced it free of charge with one she had at home. Which she didn’t have to do. But I still appreciate so much.”

“If you are looking for a dog walker Caitlyn is the one! She is attentive, on time, professional and just amazing! She takes a load off while I work to come by take care of my lil golden doodle!”

About: I've taken care of many pets ever since I was a little girl. Always had pets in the house, dogs, cats, even guinea pigs and a mouse. I also used to volunteer as a kid at my camp to work with the animals in the stables like the goats, bunnies, and brushing the horses. As I got older my love for animals never wavered, so I went to high school and I majored in agricultural sciences and spent my first summer there on our land-lab taking care of not only an arrange of animals, but plants as well. I also volunteered at a pet store near my high school caring for stray animals that were brought in, and at one point a bunch of baby kittens, alongside my best friend. I have always loved dogs and cats most and would love to have them as pets again. My family and I started our pet sitting Journey when we used to live out in Florida, it's been almost 2 years now, since moving back to New York City . We have gotten the chance to sit many furry four legged friends, and now I have two of our own. We would still love the opportunity to continue to caring for other's pets as well. My kids and I used to feed and give love to some of the strays we'd see in our neighborhood, back in Florida( unofficial cat lady lol 😅 ). We cannot wait to care for your furry, four legged family member. Home is well air conditioned, space to accommodate a crate if you have, and will be able to give walks around area, or nearby park. You can rest assured your pet will get lots of love and attention, as my children LOVE animals as much as I do, and jump to the opportunity to assist me with them I'm currently working part-time, so I am usually able to give walks in the morning, and in the evening after 6:00 p.m. However, on my days off, I can give walks at least three times a day. I would be able to work out a schedule that might be accommodating for the both of us. I would prefer to have them dropped off during the evening's, after 7pm. We adopted a Maltese/ Silky terrier mix dog(female), and a Chihuahua/ Terry mix dog (male). I use our bedrooms (mine and the kids) to place them in, to accommodate while the other dog is out. Or, we can use the backyard or crate.
“Jane was not only wonderful with our dogs, but proved extremely reliable during an extended weekend where we were out of town and all of our discussed plans were disrupted by the unforeseen—storms, road closures, etc. She provided clear and timely communication in dealing with changes, and we quickly felt comfortable trusting her best judgment to both attend to and care for our two dogs.”

“I can't thank Aniyah enough for taking such wonderful care of my pups while I was out of town! It gave me so much peace of mind to know they were in such kind, capable hands. The updates, photos, and attention to detail were all fantastic — it was clear my dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I came home to two very content (and well-exercised!) pups. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you!! 🐾”

“Gabrielle is wonderful! She is very responsive and always on time! Our dog eze seems to really enjoy when she walks him and it’s great to get updates and photos of him on the walk!!”

“Juliana is wonderful ! We haven’t walked Dewy the last 2 days and totally forgot about the weather. I confirmed with Juliana then my husband reminded me it’s going to rain. She still came and took my boy to the dog park. The rain wouldn’t stop so I ask her to bring him back if the rain keeps on going. We can’t wait to see Juliana again in a nicer weather.”

“I was very pleased with Daniel’s service! He was on time, reliable, and even available for a last-minute booking. He kept my dog’s routine exactly as I requested — walking, feeding, and cleaning up after him. My dog is usually very shy and has some anxiety around new people, but he warmed up to Daniel surprisingly fast. It was clear Daniel has a calm, caring approach that dogs respond well to. I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and trustworthy dog walker!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of being a pet sitter professionally as well as family and friends for over 10 years now. I’ve lived with a lab/pit/shepherd mix for two years. I was also an owner and trainer of a multilingual Havanese. He was trained to understand commands in English, Chinese & Spanish. He was also trained to sing, dance and jump into any vessel on command! I can follow any specific training instructions or schedule you may have specifically for your fur babies. Cats always seem to enjoy my presence, seeking massages, playtime or attention. Looking forward to meeting your loved ones and becoming fast friends! My schedule is flexible and I can almost always be available at a moment’s notice depending on the location. I am always happy to be of service in a bind. I’d care for pets in your homes according to your specific needs and guidelines. It’s important for me to facilitate a seamless transition and experience for both owners and pets, avoiding disruption to the schedule or environment. I understand and consider the attachment that your fur or furless family members have to you so I aim to be a comforting presence as much as possible.
About: Hi I’m Anna! I’ve consistently been around cats and dogs my whole life. My love for animals earned me a puppy for my 13th birthday, which I trained myself. I have pet-sat for various family members and friends with no complaints and only positive experiences. I hope to gain more experience in pet care through Rover. I am currently an unemployed, full-time college student at Binghamton, however, I am home for the summer until August 18. I do also have a part time job but am fully available after my work hours to care for your pets if you’re willing to have flexible hours each week with me! :) Safety of your beloved pet is always a concern that i completely understand and take seriously. While pet-sitting I assure that I will thoroughly follow all instructions given about your pet and complete them very closely. I also respect the home of each pets owner and will not disturb their living space in anyway. About: I’ve had numerous cats, dogs, birds and a rabbit! I love animals and the unconditional love they give in return. I’m retired and have plenty of time to play and check on your fur baby! I adore animals and will love yours as much as I love my own! About: I have been around and caring for dogs of all kinds since I was 8 years old, and animals have always been a big part of my life. Over the years, I’ve had experience with different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages, which has helped me become comfortable and confident in providing loving care tailored to each dog’s needs. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have also watched dogs for family and friends, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I genuinely love animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I also go on several long walks each day, so providing dogs with plenty of exercise, fresh air, and attention is something that comes naturally to me. Whether it’s a fun walk, a drop-in visit, or extra companionship, I will treat your dog with the same love and care I would give my own. As a remote professional with a flexible schedule, I’m available for reliable weekday and midday dog walks to help keep your pup happy, active, and on their routine. This allows me to easily make time for walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. Since I already take several long walks daily, incorporating dog walks into my routine is something I truly enjoy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always make it my priority to keep their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate or sleep routines, and any special preferences the pet may have. I make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship during each visit. I also treat every home with the utmost respect, keeping the space clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. I always double-check that doors, gates, and crates are safely closed before leaving to ensure your pet’s safety and your peace of mind. My goal is to provide loving, dependable care so your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment.
South Valley Stream dog parents share their Rover experiences
John is the best dog walker we have ever had. He came over for 2 meet and greets to make sure our Coco was comfortable. He is an animal lover and it shows. My dog often won’t eat when we are gone. He ate all of his food. John took amazing care of Coco. He is always on time!

Daniel is family now. Bodhi is a new fur baby and to say I’m overprotective is an understatement. Unfortunately, I had a horrible car accident shortly after I adopted him and needed help. Daniel was responsive to my requests, communicated effectively and did a meet and greet. His personality is warm and Bodhi felt at ease. He even brought his pup Shiloh. So happy to have him in my support system. I trust him with Bodhi and that’s priceless.

Julia was absolutely amazing. We booked her to feed and walk our golden Doc. She went above and beyond, taking care of our house and packages and even spending extra time with Doc to keep him company. She updated us every day after each walk, sending photos and messages. Julia is so kind and clearly has a love for animals. It was nice to know our pup was in such great care while we were away. Thank you Julia!!

Jane was not only wonderful with our dogs, but proved extremely reliable during an extended weekend where we were out of town and all of our discussed plans were disrupted by the unforeseen—storms, road closures, etc. She provided clear and timely communication in dealing with changes, and we quickly felt comfortable trusting her best judgment to both attend to and care for our two dogs.

Caroline was absolutely great. Her love for animals was clear the minute we met her. She was on time and left detailed notes and pics of each walk. It was nice to know that our dog was in good hands while we were away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for dog care.
