About: I've dog-sat on multiple occasions responsibly. I have experience giving dogs medication and making sure they are taken out, kept comfortable, and cared for. I have sat for puppies as well as senior dogs. I also have grown up taking care of cats of all ages. Any more information needed, such as refernces id be more than happy to give. Thank you! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already take care of my own cat every day. Feeding, cleaning, checking in, and making sure my pet feels safe and comfortable are already part of my normal schedule. I’m also active and enjoy walking, so taking dogs out for walks, playtime, and check-ins is something I’m comfortable fitting into my week. I’m reliable, attentive, and make sure to follow each owner’s instructions closely so their pet stays on their normal routine. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, bathroom breaks, medications if needed, and any special routines.
“Jane was not only wonderful with our dogs, but proved extremely reliable during an extended weekend where we were out of town and all of our discussed plans were disrupted by the unforeseen—storms, road closures, etc. She provided clear and timely communication in dealing with changes, and we quickly felt comfortable trusting her best judgment to both attend to and care for our two dogs.”

“Marika was always on time and communicative throughout this entire process. This is the first time I’ve used something like this and she made the experience easy. I was away, but my mother was here to stay with kennedy, and according to her experience, she said she came on time and really did take care of the dog during his walks. He would be very excited when he saw her through the window and ready to start his walk with her. And when he came back, he was tired a lot more calm than he’s been especially for being six months it was really impressive. She’s definitely someone I’m gonna reconsider hiring again if I need her for this type of situation. Also would like to point out that we loss his poop bag holder and she replaced it free of charge with one she had at home. Which she didn’t have to do. But I still appreciate so much.”

About: I've taken care of many pets ever since I was a little girl. Always had pets in the house, dogs, cats, even guinea pigs and a mouse. I also used to volunteer as a kid at my camp to work with the animals in the stables like the goats, bunnies, and brushing the horses. As I got older my love for animals never wavered, so I went to high school and I majored in agricultural sciences and spent my first summer there on our land-lab taking care of not only an arrange of animals, but plants as well. I also volunteered at a pet store near my high school caring for stray animals that were brought in, and at one point a bunch of baby kittens, alongside my best friend. I have always loved dogs and cats most and would love to have them as pets again. My family and I started our pet sitting Journey when we used to live out in Florida, it's been almost 2 years now, since moving back to New York City . We have gotten the chance to sit many furry four legged friends, and now I have two of our own. We would still love the opportunity to continue to caring for other's pets as well. My kids and I used to feed and give love to some of the strays we'd see in our neighborhood, back in Florida( unofficial cat lady lol 😅 ). We cannot wait to care for your furry, four legged family member. Home is well air conditioned, space to accommodate a crate if you have, and will be able to give walks around area, or nearby park. You can rest assured your pet will get lots of love and attention, as my children LOVE animals as much as I do, and jump to the opportunity to assist me with them I'm currently working part-time, so I am usually able to give walks in the morning, and in the evening after 6:00 p.m. However, on my days off, I can give walks at least three times a day. I would be able to work out a schedule that might be accommodating for the both of us. I would prefer to have them dropped off during the evening's, after 7pm. We adopted a Maltese/ Silky terrier mix dog(female), and a Chihuahua/ Terry mix dog (male). I use our bedrooms (mine and the kids) to place them in, to accommodate while the other dog is out. Or, we can use the backyard or crate.

“Caitlyn was so pleasant and patient with our dog. She was conscious of salt on the side walks- made sure he did not step on it. She did not rush him and watched him like a hawk. We would def. have her walk Mango again. Mango appreciates you, Caitlyn!”

“I can't thank Aniyah enough for taking such wonderful care of my pups while I was out of town! It gave me so much peace of mind to know they were in such kind, capable hands. The updates, photos, and attention to detail were all fantastic — it was clear my dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I came home to two very content (and well-exercised!) pups. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you!! 🐾”

“Juliana is wonderful ! We haven’t walked Dewy the last 2 days and totally forgot about the weather. I confirmed with Juliana then my husband reminded me it’s going to rain. She still came and took my boy to the dog park. The rain wouldn’t stop so I ask her to bring him back if the rain keeps on going. We can’t wait to see Juliana again in a nicer weather.”

“Peggy was AMAZING! This was our first time using Rover, so we were nervous about leaving our Prince, but I knew we were in great hands the first time we all met. From her walk-by-walk update, videos and pics of their FANTASTIC jaunts to even helping my Mom, who was staying with Prince while we traveled, Peggy went above and beyond making sure we were as OK being away from him as he was. She not only became our go-to for Prince’s care, she’s truly became part of our family!”

“Tyler was super communicative. My puppy was super happy when she got home so I know she had a good walk. Tyler also took a lot of pics. Will definitely book again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who enjoys spending quality time with pups of all sizes—though I do have a soft spot for the little ones! Long walks while listening to music and bonding with dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, which is why I take a gentle, kind-hearted approach—using soft touches, a calm voice, and plenty of patience to build trust and connection. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs so they feel at ease from the start. I create a calm, cozy environment by using soft tones, gentle touches, and lots of positive reinforcement. In my home, I make sure the space is safe, clean, and dog-friendly, with plenty of room to relax, play, or nap. I follow any feeding, medication, or exercise routines you provide to keep things consistent and comfortable. If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I give my own—keeping things tidy, sticking to your pup’s routine, and making sure they feel safe in their familiar surroundings.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Valley Stream
John is the best dog walker we have ever had. He came over for 2 meet and greets to make sure our Coco was comfortable. He is an animal lover and it shows. My dog often won’t eat when we are gone. He ate all of his food. John took amazing care of Coco. He is always on time!

Daniel is family now. Bodhi is a new fur baby and to say I’m overprotective is an understatement. Unfortunately, I had a horrible car accident shortly after I adopted him and needed help. Daniel was responsive to my requests, communicated effectively and did a meet and greet. His personality is warm and Bodhi felt at ease. He even brought his pup Shiloh. So happy to have him in my support system. I trust him with Bodhi and that’s priceless.

Julia was absolutely amazing. We booked her to feed and walk our golden Doc. She went above and beyond, taking care of our house and packages and even spending extra time with Doc to keep him company. She updated us every day after each walk, sending photos and messages. Julia is so kind and clearly has a love for animals. It was nice to know our pup was in such great care while we were away. Thank you Julia!!
