About: Hi, I’m Bailey! My love for pets has become a big part of my personality, as I grew up in a household that adores the company of furry friends. Currently, we have two loving Bernedoodles, three fuzzy cats, 4 calming fish, and a goofy ferret. Our home just doesn’t feel the same when there’s not a different creature in every room! Over the years, I’ve become the go-to sitter for friends, family, and neighbors as well. Through my personal life and pet sitting, I have experience with dogs of all sizes, and cats of all ages. I’ve cared for all sorts of animals, from guinea pigs, rats, and hamsters, to fish, turtles, and frogs. In addition, I’m well versed in young pet training, senior pet care, and medication of many types. That being said, my eagerness to provide does not stop at my experience, and I am always open to opportunities to learn about and spend time with new animals. I graduated high school in 2026, and I am looking for a fun way to gain experience and earn money during my gap year. I love nature, adventures, and creative endeavors of all sorts. I work a part time job at a family-owned restaurant in the Cedar Valley area, and this usually requires around 5 hours of my time, 2-3 days a week (Typically Tuesday/Wednesday, and Friday/Saturday). I want to make sure your pets get the care they deserve, and I will redirect you if this responsibility of mine conflicts with your schedule in a way that compromises the care you expect for your animal(s). I am open for daily check-ins, but my focus is on overnight stays. I would love to help everyone in your household stay comfortable during the occasion that you are separated from your furbabies. My main emphasis with pet sitting is well-rounded communication, especially in regards to you and your animal’s preferences. This includes any expectations you have of me, whether that be for meal times, activity, medication, or potty schedules. I am flexible and eager to help, but most of all, I want to ensure your pets stay healthy and happy while you’re away. In my experience, transparent communication is the key to achieving a smooth and stress-free sit. Nonetheless, I prioritize communication on my end as well, and will send updates and pictures as often as you would like me to. I enter every home with respect for the space and it’s inhabitants. I understand that to your furry companions, I am a stranger, and I allow pets to approach and introduce themselves to me at whatever rate they feel comfortable. I am adaptive to personal preferences, and will accommodate your pet’s needs to the best of my ability. Whether this entails snuggles and pets, enrichment and play, or walks of varying length, I am open to it all! I want to make sure your furry family member feels the pressure of routine change at the very least intensity possible. Caring for pets is a huge passion of mine, and I would be honored to take yours under my wing. Contact me for further information! At my current part-time food service job, I am occupied for 4-5 hours, 2-3 days a week. This typically falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday, and Friday or Saturday. These five hour shifts either start at 10:00 am or 3/4:00 pm, leaving plenty of time in my day to care for your pets. I also attend martial arts practice 45 minutes every Thursday evening. The only other time-consuming parts of my daily routine are commitments to family and friends, and volunteer work as a member of the nonprofit Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Of course, when pet sitting, your animals are my top priority. When I have your furry companion under my care, my more ‘’optional” duties come last. I am very flexible when it comes to adapting to your household’s routine, and will go above and beyond to accommodate. Whether this calls for 5:00 am feedings, or extra long walks, you can count me in! I enter every situation with patience, making sure your animals are first met with calmness. I believe that animals can be quite intuitive, and often feed off energy from those around them. Allowing them to approach me first, and modifying my behavior in response to different body language signs is how I secure trusting relationships with animals. In terms of daily expectations, I can manage daytime activities like walks, play, or trick-training, feeding requirements like free-graze, routine meals, or food-aligned medication, and nighttime expectations like kenneling, or staying in a certain area during bedtime. Just let me know what you and your animal need, and I’ll be happy to make it happen! Outside of pet care, I can help make sure your home stays in order while you’re away. I love cleaning, and if you need the trash taken out, the mail picked up, or the plants watered, shoot me a message! I am not only house sitting for your pet’s sake, but for yours as well, and I want to help ease the anxiety that comes with being away from home.

About: I've lived with cats and worked with dogs my whole life. From bathing my grandma's dog to walking pit bulls at the shelter, animals have always been a part of my life. Over the summer I'm looking for work wherever I can take it but mostly open. In the school year I am usually never gone more than 3 hours. I live in a pet friendly basement apartment with air conditioning. There is space for a kennel and other supplies if needed. It's not gigantic is very clean and the complex has a bark park.

About: With over a decade of dedicated pet care experience, I've honed my skills as a compassionate caregiver. My journey began with my best friend, Franklin, a thirteen-year-old dog whose loyalty has taught me the true meaning of responsibility and empathy. From late-night walks to soothing belly rubs, I've embraced every moment, cherishing the bond we share. Ultimately, our animals aren't just pets; they're family. We treat them like family, spoil them like family, and love them like family. You can rely on me to go above and beyond for your furry friends! Rest assured, I am committed to providing your animals with the exceptional care they deserve, mirroring the love and attention I give my best friend. As a teacher, I cherish my breaks and am eager to fill them with something I'm genuinely passionate about, ensuring our pets live their happiest lives possible! In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize creating a nurturing environment where pets feel comfortable and loved. This includes regular feeding schedules, ample exercise tailored to their needs, and plenty of playtime and affection. Additionally, I am able to maintain open communication with pet owners to ensure their specific preferences and requirements are met.

About: I have taken care of many dogs throughout my life weather that be my own parents dog for periods of time, or friends and families pets as well. I love taking dogs for walks, playing with them, and just being around them in general. I have a flexible schedule and can work pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I’m dependable, organized, and make sure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, meals, and care according to their normal routine. I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for every pet. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, keep a close eye on pets, and make sure they are secure both inside the home and during walks or outdoor activities. I also respect the client’s home and keep it clean and tidy while I’m there.

About: Hi! I’m Patricia, and caring for animals has been a huge part of my life for over 20 years. I’ve spent years volunteering with animal rescue organizations, fostering animals in need, and caring for pets with a wide range of personalities, ages, and needs. Those experiences have taught me patience, consistency, and how to help animals feel safe and comfortable—even in new environments. When your pet is with me, they’re treated like family. Whether they love long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with a familiar routine, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care and plenty of attention. I also know that trusting someone with your pet can be stressful. That’s why communication is one of my top priorities. I’ll keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages throughout each visit so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for. You can count on me to be dependable, attentive, and respectful of your pet’s unique needs and your home’s routines. My goal is simple: to provide the same level of care and love that I’d want for my own pets. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! During the week, I work full-time, but spending time with animals is one of my favorite ways to unwind! Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or some quality cuddle time, caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to after work and on weekends. It doesn’t feel like a job—it feels like the best part of my day. My schedule allows me to provide dependable care while giving your pets the attention, love, and updates they deserve. When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, walks, litter box maintenance, playtime, or simply giving your pet the companionship they need while you’re away. I treat every home with the same respect I’d want someone to show mine—keeping things clean, locking up securely, and making sure your pet is safe, happy, and comfortable. You’ll also receive regular updates with photos and messages, so you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is receiving loving, dependable care.

Danise was wonderful with our dog Dozer! He has quite a bit of anxiety, so it is hard to have him boarded when we go out of town! We wanted to do a last minute trip out of town for the night, and Danise was happy to help out! She came to our home to see Dozer, sent us updates and pictures, and worked well with his particular needs! We (and Dozer) would love to have Danise come back anytime!

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life. I currently have a golden retriever and a little tabby cat. I am working towards a pre-vet degree currently. I work full time but I am available in the afternoon. My days off are Sunday/Tuesday so I am more available those days to help! I have lots of experience with all temperaments and sizes of animals. I have a wild, large dog myself but I also have been around cats. I also volunteer at the humane society so I have lots of exposure there too.

About: My whole life I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats. I’ve done some overnight house sitting with dogs within the last couple of years. Im comfortable with both older and younger animals. I personally have one cat of my own. I adore all types of animals. I work remotely with a very flexible schedule. This allows me to have the time to make sure the best care is given to your pets. I have always been a very vigilant pet owner. Having grown up with many different kinds of pets, I’m well aware each animal has their own needs. Whether that be a dog who has a ton of energy and needs a more engaging walk, or one who like to take a slower stroll. I’m ready for whatever needs your animal may have.

About: I have always loved pets. Throughout my entire life, I have had both cats and dogs, and recently my family adopted a gecko from my stepsister. Pets have always been the center of my day, and I always look forward to seeing my little fur-babies, and taking care of them. With this I have been referred to many family friends to extend the love and care I have for my babies onto their babies. I will always take care of your fur-babies as I would my own. I also am very good at giving pets medicine, as I have done it for a few years now. I am a full time college student at UNI, and I love taking care of animals. Being away at college has made me miss my own animals, so I fill that gap by getting to take care and love other animals, and give other families peace of mind while away. I am super open to any environments, whether it be a fenced in yard, or a yard where I will need to leash the pups/kitties up to take them out. I will listen and obey any instructions the client may give, whether it be for respecting the pets, or respecting the house.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
