“I have used Amina many times over the last year for my big babies. She is so good with them and loving. They are both very large dogs and people can be off put, she never had an issue and was very accepting of my German Shephard being shy at first. I will ALWAYS recommend her for anyone needing pet care.”

About: With over a decade of dedicated pet care experience, I've honed my skills as a compassionate caregiver. My journey began with my best friend, Franklin, a thirteen-year-old dog whose loyalty has taught me the true meaning of responsibility and empathy. From late-night walks to soothing belly rubs, I've embraced every moment, cherishing the bond we share. Ultimately, our animals aren't just pets; they're family. We treat them like family, spoil them like family, and love them like family. You can rely on me to go above and beyond for your furry friends! Rest assured, I am committed to providing your animals with the exceptional care they deserve, mirroring the love and attention I give my best friend. As a teacher, I cherish my breaks and am eager to fill them with something I'm genuinely passionate about, ensuring our pets live their happiest lives possible! In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize creating a nurturing environment where pets feel comfortable and loved. This includes regular feeding schedules, ample exercise tailored to their needs, and plenty of playtime and affection. Additionally, I am able to maintain open communication with pet owners to ensure their specific preferences and requirements are met.

“Maddy stopped in twice to check on our dog. Both times she arrived promptly, provided communication and pictures. Our dog loved having her visit and take time to cuddle and play. We will definitely book Maddy again and would recommend her.”

“Erika is the sweetest, she did a drop in visit with my dogin my home. She was very patient with my dog who is nervous with new people. My dog had thrown up before Erika arrived and she cleaned it up for us. Very trustworthy and reliable. 10/10 will hire again.”

“Maegan is the first person to lay eyes on my black cat, Pablo, which must mean she’s magic. So happy all the critters had someone lovely to check in on them, and big extra thanks for taking in my packages that showed up early!”

“Casey was incredible!! She made sure our babies were so well taken care of and felt loved while we were gone. It was such a relief being away knowing we had her taking such great care of them and our place.”

“Tee-Tee overall is an exceptional at her job. She took good care of our dogs while we were away. We trust her coming into our home for the first time and she did not disappoint. Tee-Tee was not on the scheduled time that we both agreed upon. However she did communicate with me each time she was late to perform her duties. Overall I will definitely use her again because we are pleased with her service. :-)”

“Kaylene is great with our dog April. April always looks so excited in her pictures and I know she’s loves when Kaylene visits. The house is well taken care of and she is always on time!”

About: I am very passionate about animals and they have my heart. I have raised my own rescue dog, who is now 14 years old. I also have been an animal caretaker at a boarding facility providing all levels of care, including administering medications. I had my own pet sitting business in Arkansas where I cared for animals in my home and at clients homes. I also worked with Rover in Denver, CO! I LOVE animals, I volunteer with many animal organizations and I am a huge animal advocate. I am a student in massage therapy school, I am getting certified to be a yoga therapist, I teach yoga AND I am currently bartending as well! I would love to help you take care of your babies when you cannot make it to them. I know how important it is. My schedule varies, but lets work it out so I can help you!!! I keep all dogs on leashes, I bring water on very hot days and love to get them socialized if that is part of what you would like for your dog! I also love to spend time snuggling with dogs and cats in their home to make sure they are comforted and trust me.
“Bridgette was amazing to work with! She exceeded our expectations, consistently staying for at least the 30 minute drop in or more and left great updates with multiple pictures for each drop in. She went above and beyond playing frisbee with Marley each visit and cuddles as well. She took great care of Marley and made it stress free being away! We’d highly recommend her and will book again!”

“I was really grateful to know that I could count on Meredith to take care of my animals after a 15 hour workday has been intense for two weeks and I need to be able to step away and focus 100% on my work annoying they were taken care of and safe and not stuck inside or in a crate and having somebody come let them out while I was at work is worth it to me they are my family you can count on Meredith and know nothing was stolen”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waterloo
Amina was great at communication and seemed to genuinely care for our cats. One of our cats had a special diet that needed to be prepared daily and some daily cleanup required, and Amina handled everything professionally like it was no big deal. She sent pictures and recaps each day about our cats while we were away. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing cat care!

Casey took such great care of my buddy Max! This was my first time using Rover and I was a lil anxious about leaving him, but Casey put me right at ease! She was very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and went above and beyond during her drop ins. I can tell from all the pictures that Max loved having her stop by. I will definitely be reaching out to Casey again the next time I go out of town ☺️

Here’s a polished version of your review: Elizabeth did an amazing job taking care of our dogs! She went above and beyond to make sure they were well cared for and loved while we were away. When our travel schedule changed, she was incredibly accommodating and helped us out with an extra day, which was such a relief. We are so appreciative of the care, attention, and kindness she showed our dogs.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
