About: I have 10+ years of experience in dog care, including living with and being trusted to dog-sit one-on-one! I grew up with a three-legged Maltese who now lives with my Dad in Iowa, and spent time for my Mom’s 2 year old chihuahua while she was at work. I have also spent time caring for my Grandmother’s recently passed 20 year old poodle, and losing her was heartbreaking but I am glad I got to spend the time I did with her. I am a dog lover all around, and would love to give out some good scratches and be another friend to your dog while you are away! I typically work 8-4pm, so I would be available to provide overnight care. I am unfortunately unavailable to give midday potties, but am free to check on dogs who need a checkup if you are caught up at work. I make sure to give lots of love and attention through constant scratches (unless they don’t like to be scratched), and plenty of playtime to tire them out. I have found enrichment exercises such as puzzles or hiding a treat inside a Kong toy to be valuable activities.

I grew up with both cats and dogs and currently care for an adorable cat and two puppies, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and needs. I work from home, which means your pet will have lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I bring a calm, intuitive presence and really take the time to get to know each animal and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime and a little training, or would rather have a cozy day full of naps and cuddles, I tailor their care to what they enjoy most (usually a mix of both!). I live in a house with a large backyard, so there’s plenty of space to play and get outside. Whether you’re traveling, working, or simply need an extra hand, you can feel confident knowing your pet will be in a safe, loving, and attentive environment with someone who genuinely cares about making their time away from you as comfortable and happy as possible. I work from home, so your pet will have company and care throughout most of the day alongside my own pets. If your dog enjoys walks or outings like the beach, I’d love to include them with mine. Otherwise, they’ll be relaxing at home in a calm, attentive environment and won’t be left alone for more than about an hour (if they’re comfortable with short periods of alone time). I make sure my pets get a healthy balance of play, structure, and rest. With my dogs, I focus on plenty of playtime and ongoing training, which helps them burn energy and settle into naps while I work. My cat prefers a calmer routine and spends most of her day relaxing in her own space, but I always make time for snuggles and connection so she feels loved and secure. I’m very attentive to each pet’s needs and energy levels. If a dog becomes tired or overstimulated, I’m happy to crate them for a peaceful reset if that’s part of their routine. There is plenty of room in our house and yard to create separate spaces for pets to have their own areas (for sleep, food, play, etc.) if that is what they prefer. ❤️

About: Growing up , I've had the privilege of caring for a diverse range of animals, including breeds from gentle lap dogs like spaniels to high-energy blue heelers. I've also provided specialized care for cats and dogs with unique needs, including precious puppies, elders, and even reptile companions. Im and early riser and night-owl. I have completely open availability for your pet for any need or outside time. I'll always be able to communicate if there are any exceptions. When caring for pets, I prioritize responsibility and respect for both your pets and your home. I adapt my care methods based on the specific service you require. About: I grew up around horses and learned to respect all living creatures large and small. We always had pets at home and they gravitated towards me because I like to play and have fun with them. I had a cat for 16 years in my youth and loved her so much. Kitties will always have a special place in my heart. I have had many pets over the years and my most recent were two rescue shepherd/husky mix wonderful family members. They were brother and sister and both passed away. I do not currently have any pets of my own right now. Pet sitting is the joy of my life, and I cannot imagine a day without walking, playing and cuddling with furry friends. I am home all day and available to spend quality time with your fur babies! I am extremely flexible and am here for all of your pet’s needs. I like as much information about the pet as you'd like to give me. Whatever your pet needs, I will provide for them. I have lots of experience with anxious dogs and senior dogs and cats. “Mike took good care of our two older dogs. They were happy and healthy apon our 5 day return and the house was great as we left it. He got packages from outside that werent supose to be delivered so that was great too. He showed up on time and stayed until our agreed upon touch down of flight very late the last night. Knowing he lives in the town we do also is nice. We will definitely get him to stay again if he's free next time we need a sitter. He even fixed our tv remote/sound bar connectivity issues. About: I love animals. I am an environmental science student at CSUMB and I’ve worked with animals for many years! I had a pretty set client base in my hometown and I am hoping to get some more new clients here in Monterey! I am thoughtful, kind, and will take great care of your furry friend! I will always do everything in my power to ensure your animals feels safe, cared for, and happy when I am around:-) I am a student and most of my time is spent doing homework. On days where I have clients I do everything with the animal I am with! They are the main focus and I love taking dogs with me everywhere and sitting and playing with cats. Animals have always had a liking to me. I am very knowledgeable on all types of dogs and cats so I will always ensure that they feel safe and comfortable while I am around. I do not mind dogs in my car so I will always find the time to bring them to a dog park (if the dog is able to of course) and so they can have plenty of time outside to socialize and enjoy their time with me! Cats love to snuggle with me and I will always appreciate some relaxing cat time. Both my cats are harness trained and I bring them outside quite often as well!
